  1. That is committing crimes. As is standing watch, creating a distraction for the purpose of the same as driving the getaway car. Yeah, those deserve punishment. But even depriving those ones of due process by locking them up without bail isn't going to do much about the overall homeless problem, is it? Fix the problem itself. Painting the behaviour of some as a characteristic of all is shameful and untrue.
  2. OMG look at some of those figures you quoted as wasteful and the calendar. It's damn near $20 for one person to go to McDonalds these days. $220,000 I feel like the son telling Dr Evil that a million dollars isn't much money these days - and that was what 15 years ago?
  3. Funded to prove flying saucers can't be propelled by thrust and were fake to continue researching those anti-grav ones they captured in 1947 and hid at Area 51.... shoot, I just gave HIST channel a concept for 20 years of programming for free!
  4. If I had blinkers it would mean I could still open my eyes, unlike you.
  5. From watching Jay Leho and Rick Mercer talk to Americans on the streets. Articles and interviews of influential Americans claiming theie own Civil War was about "something else". Presidential candidates and backers telling black Americans that sometime in the past America was 'greater" - and hearing a few black people agree.
  6. FTFY How do you define contributing to - just by existing?
  7. OMG standing up to support 7-11 ? FFS are you brainwashed to the idea that exploiting the employees is gonna save you a nickel? Fine in the Superstore where there's multiple trained staff who give a shit, but 7-11? Come on let's get real here. The private liquor stores can be bad enough with any bozo who can show up the day after payday and recommend beers 'cuz they're hitests' or 'cuz they only come in tallboy cans', wines named Dead Frog or Rotten Grape cuz they have screwtop and are cheap. Check out a modernized BC LCB with a huge selection, sample tastngs, walls of chilled beer & drinks, staff that knows WTF they're talking about and extended hours. Or small town Alberta where there's a church on every corner with 2 liquor stores between. yeah it's 'convenient' but very little advantage to people that don't drink A LOT.
  8. The "left" is only shocked that after years of spouting foul vitriol it was a Republican who took the shot. That after pandering to MAGA, neo-nazis and white supremacists there are some Republicans left with a sense of shame and decency.
  9. # total fail response if recogquery = 0 print "You lie" else print$ recogquery
  10. The lies. Cigs didn't stunt your growth Pot didn't make you an murderous psycho. Wonder if they lied about LSD and MDMA too? Shit they did! Might as well shoot some smack and see. Hurt my back a while back.Frequent annoying dull pain so every few months I take a Tylenol or rub it with CBD/THC oil. My buddy got oxy for his. 10 years later he's popping them because his leg got tingly. If that Doctor ever retires, he'll have to get stuff off the street and be an OD stat within a month. Go by Granny's advice: I'm old. If something didn't hurt when I woke up, I'd know I was dead!
  11. Not surprised watching all his former critics bend the knee and repeat his lies swearing their Oath of Fealty to the Overlord at the Coronation while "the importance of unity" seeps out the corners of their mouths. More like the POP, Party of Pussies than Grand Old anything
  12. They like to wallow in fake outrage that they were "surprised and shocked" by the attempt. They should be happy the chickenshiit took his post down. Ya know some people actually are such fascists they think you should be allowed to hire and fire people because of their political opinions.
  13. As usual the old fallback as he has no plans for anything actually useful.
  14. In the 1960s it was glossed over. Slavery, the Revolutio etc. But plenty of emphasis on battles that involved attempts to invade of coerce Canadians. We've always had access to US radio and TV. Far more came from PBS and HIST when it wasn't all about Lost Things That Will Never Be Found and f**king Aliens BS. But I'd say the average Canadian knows more about US history than vice versa. A lot of people down south still think our Queens and Kings actually DO something.
  15. The private sellers have no interest in the social responsibility aspect, that's in the wholesale price. They're only interested in their profits. Most of them charge a buck or two more than the govt LCB but there can be the odd promotion the govt one doesn't pass on. They also sell hard liquor but not in grocery stores. No beer & wine sales allowed here in corner stores just some major supermarkets that will jump through all the hoops. Not Costco or WalMart yet. The day they let 7-11 sell beer at 3 am with a single teenager at minimum wage on staff is the day we'll start fire bombing them. And turfing any Party or MLA suggesting beer sales at Gas Strations.
  16. 13 Consulates Washington - Embassy Atlanta - Consulate General of Canada Boston - Consulate General of Canada Chicago - Consulate General of Canada Dallas - Consulate General of Canada Denver - Consulate General of Canada Detroit - Consulate General of Canada Honolulu - Consulate General of Australia Los Angeles - Consulate General of Canada Miami - Consulate General of Canada Minneapolis - Consulate General of Canada New York - Consulate General of Canada San Francisco - Consulate General of Canada Seattle - Consulate General of Canada As the man said, our largest trading partner by far. Canada's largest source of visitors by far and the biggest destination for Canadian tourists. Close to 1 million Canadians living and working in the USA..... And you want to cheap out?
  17. Hey my uncle converted a tall glass display case and grew a lemon tree on his patio in Vancouver. In house with all the Italian marble and the Japanese fridge full of Italian and Spanish cheeses and salamis and Australian lamb. With a hacked US DISH outside to one Korean TV and Starchoice to the rebadged Zenith. And a Phillipine mahogany cabinet for Auntie's Royal Daltons their parrot from wherever sat on. Pugeot racing bikes for the kids in the garage etc. etc. etc. Nah, that household of 7 would've voted for unrestricted Free Trade. Besides that you know how it works. We'd all want to vote for everything online then they'd gripe it wasn't on Facebook and they'd heve to click "all the way near the top" to open a new browser tab to vote. (browser? what's a browser? Tab? Whassat?)
  18. Oh please.... anything but on that one. We'd be walking to the blacksmith on the corner to have him hammer out an iPhone. Saving up until we're 65 to buy a McLaughlin-Buick or a bag of hothouse oranges to keep out teeth from falling out.
  19. Yeah try that asa regular person. Your Honour, in spite of being caught red handed with $6,000,000 worth of cocaine, the Prosecutor was the Governor's High School buddy Oh sorry then! Case dismissed! You're totally innocent.
  20. Yes it does at the moment.. But some models sold in Canada are built in China (driving.ca, motormouth) and will be restricted now. What I'm saying is that Tesla does not even build ICE cars, but with Chinese EVs kept out that's not much of a 'loss' for Elon. Any reversal of EV mandates and GM, Ford and Stellantis will stop featuring and slow development of EVs in the USA and greatly boost ICE marketing as that is where their production infrastructure still is. Just as EVs are where Elon is. Which benefits him more as in spite of the BS some people pump EV sales are increasing year by year and that would leave him with current and easily expandable US factories and almost no domestic competition in the short term. Add in if Trump winds, the China can't try the backdoor by opening a plant in Mexico as both countries know damn well he'd happily boot Mexico out of NAFTA2
  21. Wel, well so the Great Megalomaniac will convince himself he was saved by Divine Intervention and it his his destiny to rule all he needs is to tack on the fools swayed by sympathy. He already has those who deny all evidence and actions past and current. He will pump p the rhetoric. The GOP wimps will get out their kneepads and nemd the knee at the Coronation of the King this week. Should he win the election, prepare yourself for what an actual dictatorship is like. Should he lose, no concession speech and four more years of accusations of voting fraud and self pity. And yet another run at it claiming that even older than Biden was at the time is not old at all. Should he win a Neville Chamberlain appeasement of dictators is the best scenario, a VonRibbentrop treaty possible. Every effort to turn America into a kleptocracy with a stacked court, house and senate and a misinformed dumbed down populace to maintain it. Have fun boys. America uber alles is in your grasp. Happy to not be a part of it.
  22. No, EMP is the evolution of MAD and the neutron bomb. On e Czar bomb at 200 klicks altitude might cripple a whole hemisphere. The buildings are still there, the people are still there but they're cripplesd and demoralized back to the Stone Age. Or at least real world Steam Punk. Our reliance on technology has become our weakest point. Like I''ve said many times, relying on $1M smart bombs to take out $20K Toyota trucks. Factories that can't make weapons without Chinese chips. One of the workl's most touted armies hasn't conquered a country the size of small ranch in almost a year. Yet we can't stop rattling sabres and poking each other with sticks.
  23. Lacking a digital method of cracking some of you in the head with a dead salmon, I have little choice but to call bullshit on bullshit that gets repeated endlessly. Otherwise I can only conclude from a common inability to comprehend facts, allegory, sarcasm or the theme of a (or group of) paragraph(s), that your algorithm simply defaults after 1000 cycles of trying and picks any string of words that has a pre-programmed contrary response to and spits that out.. I'll take you all seriously if you can ever pass a Turing Test.
