Perhaps they were just obeying the rules: Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. - 1 Corinthians 14:34

What does that say about Jesus?

I love the summary of the polling demographics: Looking more broadly at all registered voters, Mrs. Clinton holds a wider edge, 46 to 41 percent, driven by her support among women, minorities and college graduates. Mr. Trump has an advantage among men, whites and less educated voters. ref: Voters’ View of a Donald Trump Presidency

Wynne says Hydro rates an "Urgent" Issue
?Impact replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Yes, most international corporations build facilities internationally. I don't see you whining and crying when an international corporation headquartered elsewhere opens a facility in Ontario. The thing about international business, is that it is done internationally. -
Yes, Muhammad was a terrible person and murdered a lot of people. I don't have a number, but I bet it is less than 0.5% of what George Bush murdered.

I don't defend any Mosque, Church, Temple, or otherwise. They are all medieval institutions. You allegation is that Mosque teaches beheading to children is the same as the fact that Churches teach children to crucify others. They are either both historic* re-enactments, or terrorist schools. *historic - as in the story that religion teaches its followers. There is always bias in the telling. Does your synagogue have a mechitzah?

Sounds like he shared a report from a series of test conducted last week. If I get a blood test, and share that, am I providing complete disclosure on my medical records? -
I agree, religion makes no sense. I am however simply repeating what is in the Bible, the New Testament. I suggest you read Mark 14.

So what do you have to say about Cesar, the Coptic Christians, the Romans, and many others that did all of those things as well?

Yes, and Jesus was tried and executed like any other criminal for committing blasphemy and breaking the law of Moses.

I guess you never heard of Husayn ibn Ali and the battle of Karbala either.

The same as what? This is a reenactment of the slaughter of the Prophet Muhammad's family by the caliphate of the time. This play depicts the martyrdom of Muhammad’s grandson and brother. Could you please explain the difference? Perhaps you would like to move to Australia, where it is the Christian children that are taught how to behead? http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/comment/the-horrifying-religious-instruction-classes-planned-for-qld-schools-20160420-gobbpk.html

City worker berates cop, on video, over parking ticket.
?Impact replied to Boges's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
No different than the Ontario Hydro employee that was fired for interrupting the female reporter a couple of years back. In that case the union got him re-instated, and no doubt the same will happen here if the city has the guts to fire his jerk. -
Yes, crucifixion at Easter is much more Christian of you.

Apple Corporation is Bad for Technology
?Impact replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Health, Science and Technology
I don't know if Apple tracks it, but iOS does know when a headphone jack is in use. If they wanted to, they could track what percentage of phones actually use the jack, and for what percentage of time. It would be interesting to know if they do this, and what the results were. If it could be combined with demographics, it would be even more interesting. I suspect kids in school, public transit users, and joggers would have the highest usage. -
What improvements would you like to see in this discussion forum?
?Impact replied to Greg's topic in Support and Questions
Yes, we all notice small problems after posting and jump back in to edit. The important point is the time-stamp on the edited by. Note that it is not just someone replying, but someone reading your message that is important. If the system knows for sure that nobody has read it then I agree that getting rid of the edited by makes sense, but I don't know the internals of the software to say if that is tracked.- 1,890 replies

?Impact replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, he held his fire sale of GM and others to get some quick cash and put off his childcare tax benefit for several months so he could pretend there were no expenses. Joe Oliver is the worst finance minister ever, even worse than Jim Flaherty, and that says a lot. -

Was Stephen Harper invited to speak at 9/11? He causes everyone to faint, time and time again. -

U.S. Border Drama For Canadian Pot Smokers
?Impact replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Actually the crime was failing to report to a border crossing authority. You can cross by any water craft, including an air mattress, as long as you properly report. -

Agreed, but the train wreck Clinton is hitting the garbage train wreck Trump. I predict it will smell for 4 years.
