  1. Aren't pipelines being blocked through legal and political means though?
  2. My kid is 2, He should be wearing a mask, by law. But I'm not going to try and make him, at this point. It's just symbolism, at this point, anyway.
  3. Freedom to Protest does not include Freedom to block Hundreds of Millions of dollars of freight.
  4. That's generally how the criminal justice system works.
  5. I'm just commenting on the idea that kids are involved in this protest and how to handle them.
  6. I would disagree that's a good parenting tactic, but whatevs. But that's much different than pissing off an entire city for multiple weeks.
  7. I'm sure being adjacent to incessant Truck honking fosters a great environment for education.
  8. Sweet Ad Hominem. I'll accept your surrender.
  9. Oh, so they're not in school?

  11. They've been away from their kids for 2 weeks plus. Not great parents.
  12. I'll agree with you on this. Children shouldn't be masked. It's pointless and contrary to all scientific data. Doesn't really have much to do with these moron Truckers though.
  13. I think that's the problem. Your lot is to the right of 95% of Canadians, yet you expect people to listen to you. Doesn't compute.
  14. You know I'm voting for DoFo right?
  15. It's funny you assume what I care about. I don't support shutting down businesses. But at least when a government does it for public health purposes there's support for those effected. Here they're making life a nightmare for the people they purport to support: Truckers that are actually doing their job. And that will have a cascading effect down the supply chain.

Apparently, public execution is something members here put forth as a viable option for his removal.   What an odd forum this is….

Take those blinders off, Boges.  When the PM of Canada says, “Do we tolerate these people”, then Prime Minister discourse these days is a far cry from Mulroney.  Or even Harper or Martin.

lol - he does drive people crazy!  Even his own MPs!  ?

  18. Not all that popular actually. https://www.cp24.com/news/almost-2-3rds-of-canadians-oppose-trucker-convoy-protest-poll-suggests-1.5772347
  19. That's a matter of perspective. I'm sure there are many that don't think the US have any true Left-Wing parties.
  20. Now these asshats tried to block the Ambassador Bridge? Eff Em!

This is being received very well in many nations USA, New Zealand, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Netherlands, France , Hungry. So it is picking up traction...

      @Boges

It's that kind of tone - mimicking the arrogance of Trudeau - that got us into this mess.

Ftom the opposite side - people like you would be the asshats!

  21. If more people think like you, the Liberals will win again. The Liberal Leader is demanding that 3-doses of a vaccine be the standard for fully vaccinated now. He would have spent more time in Lockdown that DoFo did. This statement shows a misunderstanding of the responsibility of different levels of government. JT didn't shut anything down because the Feds can't shut anything down. They can impose restrictions on Federally regulated industries and implement border restrictions. The provinces make the call on Lockdowns. And every single one implemented Lockdowns, at some point. DoFo's calculation is/was that moving to the Left and implementing unpopular COVID policies will take a lot of the bite out of his opposition. It's worked. They've been pretty quiet. If his base abandons him, then they're just welcoming Liberal rule back. That's cutting your nose off to spite your face. AFIK there's not going to be a PPO in Ontario this Spring.
  22. This Gaggle aren't protestors. They're Squatters.
  23. $1.60/litre for Gas today. Not laughing about Electric Vehicles now are we?

Sure they're not a panacea, but EV owners certainly don't feel the pain of rollercoaster gas prices.

Canada is the 4th largest producer of LNG. That's a fossil fuel that will be with us for awhile. We should be winding down oil production for gasoline.

So where are the fully electric 18 wheelers that can be readily purchased today for a comparable price to their diesel counterparts? And do they have comparable range and recharging time?

Boges, if you think electricity prices are not going to skyrocket at some point then you are  naive.

For the record I never laughed at electric cars I just don't think they deserve any kind of taxpayer subsidy and they are not for everybody.

So people should all go buy one then.

They would but the price/ performance has issues. Finding chargers probably sucks, and takes a while. Plus you might need an electrician to add a line to your garage.

      Anyway car lots are empty.

  24. It'll just be another punching bag that has the support of Social Conservatives. No realistic chance to win a Federal election if he/she sticks to a Social Conservative platform, but will be removed if he/she doesn't pay fealty to those who handed him/her the leadership. Time is a Flat Circle.
  25. Still support some vaccine policy, so not all the way on the team. But yeah, these lockdowns really aren't accomplishing much.
