  1. He had an ISIS flag.
  2. People are complacent and happier being in a mildly corrupt society than being all puritan about things and having to fight for some fleeting form of justice, equality and fairness. I still got beer in the fridge.
  3. So many really great old tunes, and so few new ones. What the heck is going on guys? I remember seeing this one played on the TV when I was just a wee fella...
  4. Well not that I care but I thought this repeal initiative comes from the Republican party, and has been on their to-do list since before Donald Trump. That they cannot come to agreement on what their health care model looks like is not something that can be fairly blamed on Trump. In some ways, Republicans are just as much part of his problem as Democrats.
  5. Nothing wrong with showing Donald Trump. I said politics, not comedy...
  6. Things are done for reasons.
  7. The forum rules are so simple. What part of "Do not attack the poster" do you not understand?
  8. Keep politics out of sports.
  9. I know. Yet, many having reached that lofty pinnacle fell again from grace, because you cannot escape sin. Arrogance is a sin, as is the belief you are now saved.
  10. But by your own admission, you could still go to hell regardless of your acts, right?
  11. Jail time for graffiti? Stop being ridiculous.
  12. Canada follows Trump's lead on Venezuela. Liberal man, follow the leader.

Indeed...Trudeau is following Trump's leadership on Venezuela's regime.   But he would never admit that.

We recently barred two Iranian actresses from entering Canada.

      Nope, he won't admit.

  13. More bad news. Canada not ready for second-wave of asylum seekers, union head warns Perhaps Eyeball has room for them in his neighbourhood.
  14. One man's hurricane, another man's beautiful summer day.

  15. Perhaps because if they launch a missile from NK towards continental USA, it will cross over Canada on its way. The US would try to destroy the missile before it reaches its target. It might detonate over Canada.
  16. Interesting... a phenomenon not predicted in the Multiculturalist manifesto.
  17. Unfortunately generators based on this principle cannot be built in every city, it has to take advantage of natural geography wherever that occurs. Not a limitation for nuclear. This is only on topic in the sense that Canada has a fairly advanced nuclear industry, and the CANDU design is highly respected around the world.
  18. Coined a new phrase- FDS

Forum Derangement Syndrome- A condition in which members of a forum threaten to leave the forum, only to keep coming back again either with the same or new profile.

So Hydraboss, obviously you and I were not personally invited to join the "new and improved" forum for serious posters only.

Obviously.  Although, I doubt I would invite someone like me either...

  19. You are absolutely correct, nuclear power is the best option we have available for producing substantial amounts of reliable power, with the least carbon footprint. In terms of air pollution, the reactor produces only steam. Nuclear waste from reactors can be safely stored, and their materials (depleted uranium, other activated metals) are of great potential value in the future. Breeder-reactor technology is improving, and there is considerable interest in fusion reactor research, some being done in Canada.
  20. There are solid cooperative agreements in place between countries. Those agreements appear to be only on paper however. Attempts to create an army for the EU were blocked by the UK, who are of course leaving so this situation will likely change soon. On this note, the tension between the EU and Russia, as well as the election of Donald Trump, the problems he is having with North Korea, makes me think the UK is picking up their tails and running. Perhaps the argument that they are the strongest army and therefore obliged to provide for EU security has become distasteful.
  21. I appreciate the police but maybe not their politicized leadership. Buncha old, white men
  22. I had thought this legalization would reduce the amount of policing necessary. Highly trained police officers should be used to go after serious crime, not act as babysitters. Seems like these officials are blowing smoke...
