  1. Because I say, they are from a different tribe.
  2. Poutine is a contribution not only to Canada, but to the entire world.
  3. BubberMiley is right, there is no cause for alarm. They are hyping the news about flooding as hard as they can. We even have reporters on the scene, standing in the water in rubber hip-waders, looking straight into the camera and saying definitively "This is due to global warming." Yes, water is constantly eroding the planet. Suggest plans should involve not building homes too close to the river. Problem solved...
  4. Henceforth Canada is a post-national state, and shall now be called "Trudeauland".

  5. Which is evidently their undoing. Stupid fucking anglos.
  6. I tell you, watching Hockey NIght in Canada with the cursed Huawei icon blazing in bright, BRIGHT letters is a real turn off. I know Ron McLean et al have nothing to do with it. What we see is corporate whoredom. Corporate whoredom rules.
  7. Quebec is the first and will be the last bastion of real Canada. As I said to my wife the other day, "Dear, we may have to learn to speak french!"
  8. So anyway, getting back to the topic before this thread is closed (no doubt imminent...), I think it's more important to defeat Mr. Trudeau and the Liberals right now than it is to make a statement. Voting for Mr. Bernier is making a statement. I think that any issues he raises which people support should be addressed, but it should be done later. But most of all whoever wins, let's just hope it's not another god-damned majority.
  9. CNN ratings drop by 26%. Link

I say it's a sign that their 24 hour all-anti-Trump news format has run its complete cycle. A sort of "Trump Bitching Fatigue" has set in. People no longer give a heck.

  10. I know... my post to that poor liberal was 100% sarcasm. Nobody really listens to what we say on this forum anyway. As for the timing, last time I read their theories, said these effects won't be noticeable for another 100 - 200 years. Now we're being told (by some on the left) we only have 10 years left before the planet becomes a kiln at 2000 Deg.
  11. He also said we have had 90 years of diplomatic relations with (China = Japan). So even during WWII? So there was no Japanese internment?
  12. Our PM demonstrates that he is an idiot when it comes to knowing the difference between Japan and China.

    Trudeau confuses Japan with China

During an appearance with Abe, he spoke about the diplomatic relations between "Canada and China," before quickly correcting himself. Later on, he accidentally referred to Japan as China again.

Japanese guy could only be polite and smile.

  13. somehow that makes me love them... even more
  14. The death of one person is a tragedy, - especially if mentioning it furthers your political cause.
  15. Well, at least you read my "hooey".
  16. The definition is shown in the link. For the purposes of this report, irregular border crossers are defined as individuals who entered Canada between official ports of entry. I interpret this to mean, people who entered Canada at an illegal point of entry. So anywhere other than the official ports. Therefore it is only a portion of the total. The numbes say to me it could be 40-50,000. However to be conservative I said, "Let's say it's 20,000 a year". I am way ahead of you. Now that you agree, what was your question again?
  17. From the link- Is that not what you are asking for?
  18. Didn't I already provide evidence from the very report you are excited about? Yes I did. I even underlined the very part you are looking for. There it says some part of the increase is due to higher levels of reporting. No, it doesn't say how much, to answer your next question.
  19. No. The government web site is not easy to navigate. On the left is a sidebar, click on the year you want.
  20. No. 2018 data https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/refugees/asylum-claims/asylum-claims-2018.html Shows a total of 19419 RCMP interceptions. 2017 data similarly shows 20,593 RCMP interceptions. These are not the ones detained at border crossings. Those are shown separately in other graphs below. The total comes closer to 50,000 per year, which is the number I remember reading about, from memory. However I didn't want to say without backing it up. Scroll further down to the data which shows- Summary of Asylum Claimants processed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), January - December 2017 Shows the grand totals, they are much higher than 20,000. It has gone up about ten-fold from the data before 2016.
  21. You have confused a commitment to defend democracy and to uphold the law, which are among the fundamental tenets of conservatism, with mere partisanship. Confusion is not unusual among liberals. It is never too late when so many liberals are going the wrong way. Someone has to stand up and speak out against the BS. Otherwise, up we all go...
  22. Hopefully I have explained it well enough for you then. Any other problems, let me know.
  23. It is Mr. Trudeau's own logic that defeats you there, fella. Don't complain to me, your boss is saying exactly that.
  24. He's not obligated to clarify his position on inflammatory accusations. Any ordinary person such as myself can understand what he meant well enough. And remember, it was Trudeau who raised this issue in the first place. He brought it to the political table. He initiated the dialogue, by making an offensive and baseless attack on "White people".
