  1. 12 years? May as well party.
  2. 2 x 0 = 0 Math is hard.
  3. Maybe if you knew the context I was talking about you wouldn't defend the crown. Want evidence? Just take a look around. The native situation is untenable; royal proclamations are just nice words. Natives themselves are not blameless either. What, you have faith in the System?
  4. It's just a building.
  5. I don't understand what you are implying by "completely and totally irrelevant." ?
  6. My first thought is, why no fire suppression system? Don't they have fire codes in that country? A structure as valuable as this certainly deserves to be protected. Far as I recall. the Vatican bank has got lots of money.
  7. Assange has a lot of valuable information in his head that "authorities" would love to get hold of, such as his communication networks, knowledge of spies, connection to protest groups and computer hackers. Intelligence agencies would surely love to siphon this info right out of his brain. Assange may risk torture in United States, his lawyer says However it will be worse for him if they send him to another country to carry out the torture, as our western-allied countries are known to occasionally do. Even in the UK, he's not completely safe. At the very least they will give him psychotic drugs to make him speak, and use mild torture techniques like sleep deprivation, loud noise and bright lights. They're probably already doing that to him right now.
  8. Right, like making authentic enchiladas.
  9. Brexit is not a financial advantage for the banks, therefore there will be no Brexit. They already voted out the "No Deal" option, so there will be no crashing out of the EU. That means there has to be a deal. No deal, no Brexit. Now MP's can do what they like to do best- nothing.
  10. The guy staged a hate crime to further his career. How unscrupulous is that? Will be real interesting to see if they give him a pass. This little idiot could be the match that finally lights the powder-keg...
  11. Whistleblowers are never protected. I've known some people who could be called that, and when they blew the whistle and couldn't be fired because of the rules, the company just waited until 3 years later and shitcanned all if them, once the "authorities" were gone away and no longer looking. They punished those people, because they dared to speak out against them for their negligence. In doing so they sent a message to everyone else too- don't even think about whistleblowing. When I was a kid I went to a school named after Etienne Brule. Later I found out he was considered a traitor by some people, namely, the French. The British loved him of course, and named a school and a park after him. One man's hero, another man's traitor. So pick your side in this fight, because you're either with us against us. Was it ever? Now we can see the violence inherent in the system. Now we can see the violence inherent in the system. Now we can see the violence inherent in the system
  12. Yeah could take a long time. Too bad Hillary didn't get her way, when she said why can't we take Assange out with a drone.
  13. Marijuana investors are feeling disappointed. Brick and mortar stores opened but there was no mad rush, no lineups going around the block. Early reports show that pot stores are not moving their products at anywhere near levels they expected.

"On Thursday, Ontario slashed the revenue it would receive in its share of excise taxes from the federal government in the current fiscal year in half, to $17 million from last year's forecast. In fiscal 2019-2020, Ontario now expects to generate $80 million in cannabis-related revenue, down from $115 million it projected with its budget last year."

Similar declines have been detailed in several other provinces.

I always said the most noticeable effect of legalization would be the total lack of any noticeable effect, other than the potential for taxation.

There were lineups at first at the Toronto store, went round the block. don't know about now

  14. And Hillary is still so seething with rage that she had to speak up about it. How dare this scum out me.
  15. Indeed. I bet you are quite curious.

What else do you think they might be? Gods? Wizards? What exactly do you have yourself believing?

  17. I already said what. However it is hard to say for sure what I would really do, because you have to be born that way to know. I am me, born privileged, entitled, taught to be powerful, to dominate others. Sounds pretty good, eh? Any takers?
  18. Another crazy general? Sounds almost as outraged as Jim Mattis.
  19. I am the only one suggesting a different approach than just keep on lobbying the good old minister. The minister ain't no Indian. Ever wonder how that works? Why weren't they given the opportunity to represent themselves more directly in government? Seems like a good idea to me. It's too late now though, isn't it. Why do they refuse to take it now, even if it is being offered? Hmmmm The system is pretty clear in what it intends for these people. Assimilation, or subjugation. Great, so go and start some crowdfunding then. No? That's what I thought.
  20. I'm sure he has the military's full support. You'll see after the big parade they are planning to hold some time in 2019.
  21. The impact he has on the Democrat party itself is more serious. They are completely mesmerized by Trump and can only vent their outrage. These people need to watch out they don't pop a vein in their forehead.
  22. Imagine that, a right-winger who cares about other human beings and wants to hold the government accountable... I'm sure the mind just boggles.
  23. Trump is a reality-TV president. He is feeding these people exactly the kind of tasty garbage that they simply can't resist.
  24. Maybe send them a postcard with your ideas written on it, see if that goes anywhere. I suspect you are flogging a dead horse if you think there is hope in that. In regards to natives, the Crown does not assist, it resists. Canada's PM gave his input on this issue here, it doesn't faze him. When Trudeau's lips move, Canada speaks. Also the notion that people need to hang in there and suck mercury contaminated water while they wait for a treaty negotiation, with THE GOVERNMENT no less, doesn't sound like the most effective road to success here. Please wait while we negotiate a new treaty, one that may possibly impact all other treaties, and require their renegotiation? No thanks. Because, in my experience, if they were actually capable of solving this problem they would have done it by now. You are also suggesting that natives should light some fires, maybe if they put a little smoke under the government's ass it might move a little faster. Perhaps. It's not a solution though, just a reaction. How about some alternate solutions. Here's what I would say if I were native to the Government and the Crown of Canada: @*&$ #!* I'm not going to depend on you at all. I'm going to solve the problem, somehow, without your help. That means getting my own money. Start a lottery. Crowdfund. Get the story out and ask for volunteers. Buy a truckload of shovels and go look for the damned shit.
  25. I think had he chosen to "man-up" and take action when the moment came, it would have been a freakin political home-run. He would be a hero. I mean, he had the damn chance to prove himself right here! Not only to help these people improve their health, but fix what successive governments haven't done. Instead he chose to go further down the rabbit hole. Mr. Trudeau's behaviour of late has been getting curiouser and curiouser.
