  1. You make it seem like Canadian liberals are desperately looking to spread the blame away from the PM. "But, but, but, Stephen Harper!"... more or less. Come on, Harper may have known things or heard reports that may or may not have yet been substantiated. What matters is that an investigation was started, and found evidence of a crime. That alone is enough for me. The system works through due process, not by gossip, rumour, or emotional gut reaction. Once there's evidence, and certainly once charges are laid, the PM has to back off and allow due process to continue. Mr. Trudeau did not want due process to continue.
  2. All that's left is hoping for miracles. Pray to Jesus. Pray for at least once in your life, you miserable blighter.
  3. RIP Peter Fonda. You have gone on to meet your maker...

Can't say for sure since I don't know any dirty bikers myself, BubberMiley. We rural folks try to live a clean life.

You sounded so confident that you knew what you were talking about.

  4. Note date. They're not in jail yet, but the story is getting weirder. Things are getting curiouser and curioser in America under President Trump, you might say. Today we found out about a strange work of art discovered at Epstein's residence in New York. A portrait of Bill Clinton in a blue dress. One observer mentioned it's very similar to the notorious dress Monica Lewinski wore. Warning, this image is not for sensitive viewers. To spare your tender eyes I've posted it as a link only! Link I doubt this one will ever get put up on a wall in the White House.
  5. No need to buy with your own money when you can take out a loan. I'm sure that was Trump's idea here. Then there is also the option of leasing...
  6. I've been learning to play the fiddle. Maybe you can join in for a chorus or two?
  7. People don't trust the government to use this money effectively. And given that we (Canada, the Liberal govt) want to be "world leaders" on this, raises the question are we leading in siphoning money from our citizens into a general slush fund, for projects that don't even exist yet?
  8. Mr. Trudeau does not understand Canadians. Canadians do not want jobs from companies that do things that are illegal. We take pride in our honesty. We are a nation of law.

So I kinda thought the same but I saw an awful lot of support for him, much more than I usually see, on the FB page.  I admit I was surprised.  Perhaps the difference is that its perceived as corruption to benefit Canadians/jobs and not corruption to benefit himself/his cronies.

He did do it to benefit himself tho as he mentioned him being an MP and all for Papineau and there wasn't really an issue with jobs.  However,  I'm surprised at so many people thumbing their nose at the law and ethics (or lack thereof)

Canada is a Company Town, everybody works for Boss Hogg and the Unions.

Work is bullshit, jobs are jails, defend your laziness, free time is a commodity unto itself.

  9. Yes, we try not to be always too serious! <sic>
  10. Trudeau was not invited to that party. It was for men only.
  11. Well, you're a poor guy if you liked Ottawa. Or maybe you were there long ago. Today if you like Ottawa it means you like the smell of shit and piss everywhere, and sun-browned rubbies sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk. But at least they have nice shoes.
  12. The irony is that we are locked in an argument with the leftist anti-nuclear movement, who have stirred up public fear especially after incidents like Chernobyl. Meanwhile the Russians are quietly developing ever more lethal nuclear weapons, pointed at us. Their plan are not similarly encumbered. Safety margin, komrad Chairman? Nyet! Enforcing regulations? Nyet! Environmental protections? ... Nyet!
  13. Also noteworthy in this case is the level of deceit and lies that Mr. Trudeau and Mr. Butts were telling Canadians in the fallout to the resignation of JWR.
  14. How so... the RCMP did not lay charges against SNC Lavalin until 2015. And what do you mean, "deal with SNC-Lavalin"? That is not the PM's job. That's what the legal system and courts are for. Please explain how you think Harper was responsible and could have dealt with it under his tenure.
  15. I was saying the same thing to a British coworker the other day. "Did you think you could just wash your hands of it and walk away? Stupid British!" says I. He just looked at me with an astonished look on his face. Utterly gobsmacked.
  16. Sure he is. He's so unpopular, they gave him a majority.
  17. Apparently the best way to bring in migrants is to move them into rural areas, not the big cities. That has two advantages. In the short term it may avoid the problems with ghettoization. Long term, the dissolution of rural conservative culture. Example: A geographical path to integration? Exploring the interplay between regional context and labour market integration among refugees in Sweden If refugees have no useful workable skills, they will be given training. Free of course. We see this happening already now. https://www.unhcr.org/5a096c942eb.pdf Sweden is used as a case study for the examining the effects of mass migration in Europe. This idea is being taken up by Canada's Immigration Minister, Ahmed Hussen. Immigration minister defends UN migration pact Hussen names 11 communities for rural immigration experiment Lisa MacLeod slams ‘bully’ Ahmed Hussen as immigration dispute heats up
  18. Jeffrey Epstein, he go away, he go away forever more. <clap> <clap>

  19. The latest progressive attack will be even worse than that. The Liberals want to do the same thing that was done to Ostersund in places like Thunder Bay.
  20. Ontario has the shortest health care wait times? God help us all. Oh and glad to hear that the small towns have the lowest crime. There is a good reason for that. Any place like Toronto with that level of urban sprawl, and where you get big money like that, you also get big crime. And the commensurate violence in the streets that goes with it. Last weekend 18 shootings, but hey. Let's celebrate Toronto, that seething liberal cesspool that's best to live far away from.
  21. Canada has a "close" relationship with America under President Trump: "I don't think the relationship between Canada and the United States has been this close for a long, long time." - David MacNaughton, Canada's Ambassador to the United States
  22. "Extreme right views". I suggest the phrase "extreme right views" and "extreme left views" should be shunned. These extreme views are rejected by all ordinary people on the left and right. Therefore we do a disservice to one another by attaching the views of some maniac to what we consider to be mainstream political spectrum. Use of left/right should be removed. These are extremist views, nothing more.
  23. Mr. Trudeau has told Canadians to do the exact opposite. Whenever a woman comes forward with a story about being sexual assaulted, she must be believed. But it was not true for him however, when a woman came forward and made similar claims about him. She was not to be believed, because he said so.
