  1. That's right, the media. They don't come here, we go there. All this babble is a reflection of it.
  2. I only agree this is the message we are getting, from you, others and the media as a whole. It's out there in abundance.
  3. I only said perhaps. But I am not asking you to do something. For every good story you might post, someone else can post 100 bad ones.
  4. Your response sounds like a cop-out, an evasive dodge. As if it wouldn't help. The claim that no one would listen is BS. Promoting good things would be an effective counter to extremism, on both sides. For every media an equal and opposite media. But I have yet to see such an effort, either from the media or mainscream enthusiasts like yourself. So perhaps it doesn't exist.
  5. Waiting for you to start highlighting the good deeds then.
  6. Certainly forgiveness is a Christian virtue, central tenet to our culture and laws. Not sure if the same can be said, for Islam. Seems they like their punishments.
  7. Duplicated
  8. That's an interesting view but we Christians do not define things by what we hate.
  9. The comparison between the random acts of criminals and Islam, in which violence is encoded in their scripts and culture, completely fails.
  10. The thread is about Islam. Feel free to contribute things both positive and negative. Never mind the outraged buttercups.
  11. Totalitarian madness.
  12. No need for it to. The socialism of the tepolid's, presumably who are Russians, is not a part of the American experiment. To paraphrase - It's the economy, stupid!
  13. Certainly, there is a push. Look at the new Dems in America under president Trump and what they are selling. But they are just proposing ideas. In practice, there is a push to improve wealth distribution within the US capitalist system, but not by giving handouts, but in terms of tax breaks and creating incentives to work. So not government mandated redistribution. Corporate tax breaks make a difference. The income level of workers has increased in AUPT, by giving raises. This is a different model than draining the workers who earn their income by increasing tax coffers, and giving handouts to a growing base of welfare recipients.
  14. Why? It's not useful to debate it further. And besides, it is off-topic, which as a former moderator you should know. But then, you did tend to enforce the rules rather whimsically. FYI from one poster to the next, We only do serious debating around here. I advertently showed that Bernie is a socialist, nothing new there I would think. Plus he is old, and white. He has about a snowflakes chance in hell. No, the dashing young little queer mayor has a much better chance, mainly because he is dashing and young, and a queer.
  15. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Bernie_Sanders There that took about 15 seconds. 2. At least they're off the dole. They weren't making any gains at all whilst unemployed. Now they have a fighting chance.
  16. Nonsense. The left certainly lives. If it died it was resurrected as the zombie left. Bernie Sanders is Fidel Castro resurrected, without a beard. America under president Trump certainly needs no major economic reforms, that's going as well as possible. He did all the reforms already.
  17. The left pushed their agenda to what could also be called extreme. They too are never satisfied. Now it seems they are bent on destroying our economy and taking away our freedoms. Bastards.
  18. Russia has displayed their hypersonic missile technology, so the US must counter their move. In fact I have worked it out in an equation, For every political action, an equal and opposite reaction + 1. Therefore the US must do something MORE than that, they will do it soon. That is how technological progress gets made.
  19. It was already extreme before Donald Trump. That was the opinion of conservative Americans, and why he was elected, and the more you point out how one-sided it is in your view, the more you add to the problem. Because you see, "For every political action, an equal and opposite reaction + 1" - Albert OftenWrong
  20. Consistently the best in the world.
  21. I like it when they mind their own business, and don't hurt anyone.
  22. Too bad, Mad magazine is shuttering their doors. Because such comical satire simply cannot exist, in this so-called progressive world.

"Progressive world" means something other than just liberals. The internet plays a role in it, to be sure. But, if anyone here feels the shoe fits... yeah, it's because of you.

Yep, the death of humour indeed... as we can see right here.  ;)   :D

  23. I understand Gay Pride day is being extended into Gay Pride month. Pretty soon it will be Gay Pride year. Then every day will be called Gay Pride day, so no more need for parades!
