If this is allowed to continue why than do we need a Ministry of Immigration, all they have to do is find a way into the US and than come north. Scrap the Ministry of Immigration and save money. OOH wait we need it to stop Europeans from entering Canada....LOL3 points
-
Ofcourse they are not. Its the same for other religions too. Huge part of so called religious people is not following their religious rules, so they are not actually a member of the religion they claim.1 point

These examples are in no way comparable to 9/11. For example: how did the Korean War start?1 point

Is it though? It would seem they have thus far prevented another 9/11 style and scope terror attack.1 point

Too bad you guessed it wrong. Maybe you should go back if that is the case. We don't need muslims in the West. Soon president Trump will kick them all out. They can go to Canada. Trudeau will take them with open arms.1 point

Good....hope President Trump also kicked out the fake news CBC...Canada's state broadcaster.1 point

Is it just me or is there never a bunch of 2nd Amendment folks around when you really need them?1 point

Not sure where you are going with this, are you saying that Afghanistan was stable, or lets broaden it up a little, and add the entire middle east was it stable at the time. I have to ask what is the right response to a group that kills up to 3000 people with a single terrorist attack. is it a diplomatic response, or is it a threat of violence.....If you were President what would have you done ?1 point

When have you ever seen a progressive who learns from example? Remember that they're still zealously pursuing the policies which failed in Europe like Multiculturalism.1 point

At the time of the attack on the World Trade Center Bin Laden's Al Quaeda group were a major security element affiliated with the Taliban. They had some ten thousand fighters there supporting the government. So when the responsibility for the WTC bombing was traced to them we should have done what, exactly? Sent a policeman over there to arrest him? Remember that the Taliban refused to arrest or send him to the US. We are treaty bound to respond with the US to any attack on them, and this certainly qualified.1 point

This is all Trudeau's fault! He and his stupid tweet! Now....we're not only worrying about those being rejected in the USA. Everyone's coming to the Promised Land, thanks to Trudeau! JT has endangered so many who're all clinging to false hope, making their way through treacherous and dangerous journey to make it to Canada - Trudeau knew he can't possibly welcome everyone fleeing war, persecution and terror! Tell Trudeau he better make good on his promise! He has to accept them all....... after all he's issued the invitation!1 point

I am not a moderate or normal Muslim. I am just a Muslim and others are not Muslims. I am not interested of being integrated into somethings.1 point

Not really, though I think it does nothing to improve safety and winds up being counter-productive. It struck me as odd, considering Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia's absence particularly and for the absence of rogue states like the Philippines, which shelters Islamic murderers that have not been brought to justice. I would think that if you are going to ban people, you wouldn't do it so arbitrarily and in such a chaotic fashion.1 point
-
Never heard of it. Since when are rumours "what's going on"? That must be a leftist concept. Besides, Duterte and Trump would probably get along quite well. Duterte is outspoken, tough on crime, and even called Obama a "Son of a Bitch". Link http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2017/02/04/1668947/philippines-not-covered-trump-travel-ban Perhaps one should follow real news more, and rumours... less?1 point

That isn't in jeopardy, nor was it the question. The U.S. has demonstrated its ability to decide who it wants to let in the country, and even the president can't force his authoritarian will onto it. You don't seem to understand that presidents are not kings. The new executive order is rumoured to include Egypt, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Colombia, Venezuela, the Philippines, trans-Sahara (Mali), and Sulu/Sulawesi Seas Littoral.1 point

I'll take that as a wry "agree". Facing current and future threat environments, Canada cannot effectively act alone. And that's OK, most other nations can't either.1 point
-
Yes really....operations planners get paid to scope out and design resource allocations that address current and potential threats. It would be incompetent to not do so. Russian aircraft with tactical and strategic range capabilities have to be addressed, especially now that weapons payloads include long range cruise missiles.1 point

I do believe you got the picture just right. Cool.1 point

One would hope that there would be a massive outcry. But I think that most Canadians want to try the hard way first. It's the Canadian way.1 point

Integrated air defense grid...lol This isn't against the Red Chinese. A Jihadi with a Strela should be properly vaporized by the Tucanos or A-10s before any helicopter goes for the LZ. For the price we're paying to play footsies at the UN with the enemy, we could have hit the mall and bought all of this stuff.1 point

Not yet, but an eventuality given current trajectories. Canada will become a cold Mexico.1 point
-
Tucanos are already deployed in these treacherous areas you speak of...like Afghanistan. The choice of the USA if I recall. I was unaware helicopters were obsolete. No longer able to operate due to evil AAA efforts. I'm all for spending MORE on our military. I'm an Army brat like you. So deflecting to what we should be spending our non-existent resources on just makes me say: buy those, too.1 point

We're just shootin' sheet, Derek. My whole argument is that Canada is the can't do nation and you're showing how that's true. Organic = part of and Dedicated means just 4 U. A small fleet of Tucanos dished-out to each regiment for THEIR use is what I'm talking about. Not trying to make NATO commitments or intercept Tu-95s over the high Arctic. Heavens forbid Canada ever treat the military like a career for its citizens...rather than a pesky liability.1 point
-
Yes I can....U.S. history is filled with lots of "divisiveness". It is an "American value". The Democrats had the very divisive Vietnam War...much bigger deal than Iraq. Being "embarrassed" is a Canadian value.1 point
-
Canadians would state they are going to send humans to the Moon then complain about having to build a rocket.1 point
-
Yet it is the Democrat Presidents that seem to start the wars.1 point
-
But it wasn't just vocal masses...it was Canada's ruling government and Parliament as well, cheering on the A-stan mission as far more legal and moral than the invasion of Iraq, which had yet to even happen. Canada couldn't do both, so Afghanistan it would be.1 point

I would have thought my barber comment was more personal. In any case it would probably still take a shovel to deal with Trump's hair.1 point

OTOH I imagine like most people patience runs it's course and the desire to smack Trump up side his stupid orange head with a shovel takes over.1 point

The same thing! Actually banning Jews means all JEWS - even those living in other countries - not only Israelis! I'm pointing out the double standard by the biased, dishonest, lying media! The countries that are banned by Trump were taken from Obama's list. These countries have problems with vetting! There might be an expansion of those listed, according to Spicer. He was still a Somali. That's what his father said! Just because you're born in Kenya doesn't make you not Somali.1 point

I supplied the quotation marks. No not really because your source talks about Israel the country and Jewish people as if they were one and the same thing. I'm assuming the article's ambiguity is as deliberate as the ignorance of the intended audience.0 points
