Trump is just acting on pure national interest. You can argue whether his policies are good in the long term for the U.S., but as citizens of Canada we have no ability to apply political pressure on him or any US political parties to any significant degree, except through counter tariffs and boycotts of U.S. products. These measures do influence politicians in places like Tennessee where bourbon sales are down, but on a national level these pressures are just a few more competing interests among many others for the US. Canada feels more impact from these trade barriers than the US. We need to think about what would make us better off and prevent us from being impacted by self-interested US policy, but we can only really influence Canadian politicians and policy. Trump’s moves just highlight that and he knows it. He said he would apply economic pressure for exactly this reason. What he may only now be realizing is that many Canadians are willing to take an economic hit for the sake of sovereignty, so unless these trade barriers are really helping the U.S., they may not make Canadians want to integrate into the U.S. In fact, the opposite may be the case, where Canadians seek less involvement with the U.S. That’s why we need a realistic plan that the citizens of both countries can support. USMCA is really the status quo and I don’t see any inspiring new proposals.

I Being able to control drones over enemy lines seems to be challenging. But i guess land based control or any outside control of a drone wont be needed in the future with AI taking over full control of drones ... With artificial intelligence operated drones or AI fighter jets you simply program target locations and send it off on its own...let its AI take care of the rest, be it fighter intercepting , or bombing, or surveillance... its got AI so it knows what to do, it dont need you telling what to do once its in air,, you just sit back and wait for it to return by itself.. no radio control signals for the enemy to jam, no fiber to tangle up . also stealth, radar jamming,, radar tricking misleading features , will make drones hard to track by the enemy.. i think Pakistan tricked India with some kind of radar trickery not to long ago. controlling a drone by a string attached to a tin can that you talk into just about sums up Canada's Drone military might on the world stage... lol.

Solar panels are tried, tested and proven technology that has been around for decades. There is as much risk with a solar panel as there is with bad or faulty wiring. Hail damage is non-existent unless the hail is bigger than 1' in diameter then most everything else the hail hits like cars is going to get damaged. The maintenance of cleaning a solar panel is not insurmountable... think cleaning your windows. Lithium battery storage adds no more fire hazard than the furnace in your home and whatever you're trying to talk about with silicone carbide is just that...whatever. Here is where you minions always stay on script and go sideways... Anything having to do with clean energy of course has to be because we're all concerned with saving the planet. There is a lot of validity to that but adding solar panels is also a cost benefit to the homeowner with typical break even on the investment in 6 - 10 years then after that, it's 'free' electricity. It add's value to the home for resale and yes, it does help the environment. Is that a bad thing?
