  2. Full List of Lawsuits Filed Against Donald Trump This Week The left is painting themselves into a corner. They have three major issues as a result of filing lawsuits. The first is money. These lawsuits require money from both sides. However, Trump has the almost unlimited resources of the federal government. The democrats have to raise money. Every dollar they spend on this lawfare is money they can't spend on campaigns in the midterm elections. More important than the money is the appearance of what they are doing. They are fighting to keep corruption. That is the perception. This holds in polling that shows Democrats with a 59% disapproval in the polls. The thing that will hurt them the most is the results of the lawsuits. Every lawsuit that they lose will codify the Preisdent's power. Those EOs won't need to be made legislation. The EOs they manage to cancel will need to be legislation. The end result is the Democrats will have helped Trump determine what he had to prioritize for legislation and what he didn't. When it comes to the budget process in September, they will have to use less political capital to get the reconciliation bill passed because they will know what must be prioritized what can be left as an EO.

  5. The heading doesn't make much sense but the opinion piece makes less sense. It looks like you have been conned by the Liberal propaganda. The Conservatives have an excellent platform which was laid out by the leader on Flag Day with over an hour of details. You can find it on youtube at: Bing Videos Also read the Conservative Party of Canada policy document which is online at: 990863517f7a575.pdf After nearly ten years of Liberals wrecking Canada, are you seriously thinking of still supporting the Liberals or NDP? All they did is increase the size of the civil service by a huge number, spend money like lunatics for everything under the sun, throw billions of dollars around the world, attack the energy industry, ban pipelines, hammer everyone with carbon taxes pushing the price up of everything, catch and release dangerous offenders right away, very soft on crime, allow illegal migrants to flood across the border, allow the drug crisis to run wild with 50,000 deaths, allow drug and crime cartels to expand in Canada, and bring in far more immigrants than Canada can afford creating a housing crisis and other problems. Everything is worse in Canada after ten years of Liberals/NDP.

  6. Wow. Just wow. Did you not take history in school or was it utterly and embarrassingly woeful? Because the rise of Nazi power occurred under the same vein of censorship that Germany, the EU and American liberals endorse: Would censorship have stopped the rise of the Nazis? Weimar Germany had laws banning hateful speech (particularly hateful speech directed at Jews), and top Nazis including Joseph Goebbels, Theodor Fritsch and Julius Streicher actually were sentenced to prison time for violating them. The efforts of the Weimar Republic to suppress the speech of the Nazis are so well known in academic circles that one professor has described the idea that speech restrictions would have stopped the Nazis as “the Weimar Fallacy.” A 1922 law passed in response to violent political agitators such as the Nazis permitted Weimar authorities to censor press criticism of the government and advocacy of violence. This was followed by a number of emergency decrees expanding the power to censor newspapers. The Weimar Republic not only shut down hundreds of Nazi newspapers — in a two-year period, they shut down 99 in Prussia alone — but they accelerated that crackdown on speech as the Nazis ascended to power. Hitler himself was banned from speaking in several German states from 1925 until 1927. Far from being an impediment to the spread of National Socialist ideology, Hitler and the Nazis used the attempts to suppress their speech as public relations coups. The party waved the ban like a bloody shirt to claim they were being targeted for exposing the international conspiracy to suppress “true” Germans.

  7. You're assuming that Putin won't be emboldened by his success and continue war elsewhere. IF Trump ends Putin's conquest it will be by surrender. Depends on the terms. Biden wasn't willing to encourage further violence by forcing Zelensky to surrender. Xi is watching and will also be emboldened by Trump's forcing Zelensky to surrender.

  10. Following the financial crisis of 2008, the responsibility for enforcing that financial companies obey consumer-protection laws, previously split between six regulatory agencies, was concentrated in one agency, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (C.F.P.B), which brought consumer protection—regulation, supervision, and enforcement—under one roof. Created to defend the interests of mortgage holders, savings depositors, credit-card holders, and anybody else who was obliged to deal with banks and other financial companies, the CFPB has been shuttered by Trump and Musk. A week ago, Elon Musk tweeted, “CFPB RIP.” Why would Musk want to fire the financial cop on the beat? The cop that has found more than twenty-one billion dollars in fraud and scams, and scooped up that money and returned it directly to the people who were cheated. Musk claimed that slashing spending and downsizing the federal government is necessary to prevent the United States from going bankrupt. But the CFPB budget is only about 0.01% of federal spending. Oh, there is this: Closing the CFPB will hurt the very people Trump promised to safeguard, but it will sure help Musk.

  11. You can’t win with MAGA because they don’t care whether they are wrong or right. They have abandoned truth in favour of the fight. All that matters to them is “getting” the other side. (I’ve seen this attitude in these forums.) That’s why they respond so favourably when Trump posts something hate-inciting like this: Jul 20th 2024 - 10:12:25 PM EST Consider Musk’s recent post below Musk’s claim that these people are collecting social security is so obviously untrue (to anyone with a grain of intelligence, which I assume Musk has) and easily disproved. Simple math with these figures shows that if these payments in the table were being made, Social Security would cost about $1 trillion dollars more a year than it actually does. The numbers just don’t work. So why is Musk lying? And not caring if he does? Because he knows MAGA will respond, without regard to whether it’s true or not. Musk baits MAGA, who will use this as ammunition in their manufactured “fight.” They don’t care if the numbers are wrong - just like they don’t care if Trump is a dictator. The outrage of the “other side” is the goal. (As one MAGA member here said – it’s about freaking them out.) Like Trump, Musk manipulates with lies, and it causes me great concern for the country that many are susceptible to this manipulation.

  18. Is it? This is what they did to Trump: They literally took out important context that painted Biden in a negative light to make Trump's answers seem incoherent. In reality, his answers were really damaging to Joe. Now watch the Kackler: She starts with an incoherent, disjointed word salad. When she finally comes around to something that sounds somewhat plausible, they cut to that. In the second clip, they edited out the parts where she sounded unsure, scared and weak to the seconds where she sounded somewhat authoritative. The evidence is there. They were editing their interviews to create opinion rather than editing them for time.

  23. Right now? Probably Trump. In a couple months, who knows? Either way, I don't think PP is going to commit to much, just like he already hasn't. You don't interrupt while your opponent is scoring on his own net, or imploding. I don't find that fascinating, or even curious, because the average person really doesn't care about the details. In my early years in financial planning, I was very task and detail-oriented. I'd have spreadsheets, drill-downs, risk comparisons, projections, simulations and scenario planning - all that jazz prepared before every meeting and ready to go. Over time, I realized that most clients only had about 5 minutes worth of attention for that sort of stuff. Anything more, and I'd start to lose them. I still do that stuff on my own for them, in the background, but they don't give a shit to hear about it. Their decision-making process in terms of finance was to determine if they liked me, if they trusted me, and if I seemed competent. Once that hurdle was covered, most of them are ready to just let me do my thing and don't really want to hear about it or my decision making process.

  24. OMG. And what % of conservatives were all Q-Anon followers? For all I know, QAnon was right about a lot of stuff. I don't even know what they say/ Deep State? The cat's outta the bag on that one. "62% of Americans feel like the trials against Trump were politically motivated..." And who the hell do you think ran the US while Biden was napping? Pizzagate? Are you comparing that to Russian collusion? Every leftard in NA was totally hoodwinked by the Russian collusion farce. The Deep State (😉) went all-in on it. The list is a bunch of trivial BS, most of which turned out to be true, thank you very much.

  25. Once you get up over 45% you've cornered the GOP market. Once you get to 55% you've basically cornered the 'independent/libertarian' market. At 62% you've got 7/45 Dem-voters, 16% of them, admitting that the charges were politically motivated. There would be a lot more who know that's the case but just won't answer "yes" to that question. What percentage of our leftists here would admit that the charges were politically motivated, even if they knew it for a fact? 10%? By my own estimation, that 62% vote translates to probably 95% of Americans knowing that the charges were politically motivated. I can't imagine anyone doesn't know, if they're following closely.

No, you have yet to defend anything you are asserting here. Where were American scientists banned from using the term? Just more baseless assertions.

  34. Oh and not to kick you while you're down @Radiorum but I figured I'd get a licking or two over the next issue which is bound to rear its head shortly. In polling done during trump's trial about 75% or so of Americans agreed that the trial was happening for purely political reasons and was politically motivated. Obviously the majority were republicans but at 75% at least about half were democrats. So even the democrats realized by and large that the trial was political. But the majority of democrats including the ones who felt it was politically motivated agreed that it was perfectly fine and that it should proceed. So they knew without a doubt that it was political, and they supported it anyway because it was against someone they didn't like I'm sure they're not too distant future we're going to see the first cases of lawfare attacking democrats. I just thought I'd head you off before you pend to some ridiculous nonsense about how it's unprecedented and has never happened and point out that when it did happen and was president the democrats largely remain silent even though they knew what was happening because it was their guy who was doing it so they didn't mind. Figured as I'd save you a talking to when the time came So you're saying that you as well cannot actually articulate your position. Your own thoughts are so unclear that you can't put them down coherently. Which strongly suggest you don't even understand the article that you posted. I thinking person who believes in reason and logic can always articulate their position fairly clearly and with reasonable brevity. The fact that you can't suggest that your thoughts are based on ideology rather than logic or reason

  38. Well, you can be sure Putin and autocrats around the world are cheering the dissolution of USAID. They are in fact exploiting the chaos Trump overall is creating. One of the biggest cheerleaders of the effort has been Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a longtime Trump ally who has for years waged his own campaign against nongovernmental organizations and independent media, particularly targeting those that receive U.S. funding. On social media and on state radio last week, the Hungarian strongman celebrated Trump’s gutting of USAID and claimed that the agency had backed organizations that wanted to “topple” his government. Putin kicked USAID out of Russia in 2012 for promoting groups that promoted democracy and human rights. The US is giving up its leadership role in the world as the defender of democracy, which seems to coincide with turning its back on democracy at home.
