  1. It's true. Walz liked socks worn with his sandals. This should disqualify him from serving political office.

  2. Walz had to leave early to address congress, but he forgot to take out the trash and stick it at the curb. His wife was forced to. This man shout be lynched!!!!

  3. Walz was on active duty, when he was invited out with his platoon. Upon arriving at Club Euphoria, and after consuming three beers, Walz was led to the dance floor, to partake in the Macarena dance craze of the mid 1990s by his wife. He is unfit for office!

  9. BTW kleptomania is compulsive thievery, You're referring to mythomania, compulsive lying. Mental illnesses that can cause symptoms of pathological lying can include: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) Munchausen syndrome by proxy. Borderline personality disorder. Antisocial personality disorder. Narcissistic personality disorder. Bipolar disorder.

  13. Today, Orange Man told reporters that when he visited California to survey the wildfires, he flew in a helicopter with former SF Mayor Willie Brown, who spoke with him about dating Kamala Harris, before the helicopter nearly crashed. The story is true, except: 1) The helicopter didn’t crash or experience any emergency at all; 2) Willie Brown was not in the helicopter; 3) He didn’t talk about dating Kamala, since Willie wasn’t there.

  14. Yes. Non-violent protests are usually more effective at creating change. The Civil RIghts Movement of the 1960’s worked specifically because it was non-violent. Had they resorted to violence, they would have fallen right into the hands of their enemies and lost. Same thing with Gandhi.

  16. Uhh.... you can't get much much more on topic. To the headline, not your diversion into conjecture that is. Just admit it, you're just a Slingblade that likes to go to church and speak in tongues to impress the other ones.

  17. In one of the three questions that reporters managed to ask her, in the whole 20 days since Biden got the hook, she acknowledged 100% that she's dodging debates. 3 questions, dummy. Just 3. "I won't comment on the possibility of other debates until after the first one." Did you miss her entire history of answering questions since she got the nomination, dummy? I don't blame you if you did. If your mom's cat farted too loudly while she was speaking you would have missed it.

  20. Except the helicopter ride was 2018 not 1997 and it was actually with California governor Jerry Brown (a white guy) not Willie Brown on the helicopter along with governor elect Gavin Newsom although that flight was uneventful and there was no emergency landing. Meanwhile California State Senator Nate Holden (who is black but looks nothing like Brown) recalls a helicopter flight he took with Trump and Trump’s late brother in the ‘90s where there was turbulence and a precautionary landing. However that has nothing to do with Brown nor Harris. Sounds like Trump’s stories are getting all mixed up yet again and then adds his lies and embellishments on top of that.

  21. That's because robosmith knows that we live on a spot on the ground, and that we have to respect the significance of that spot and respect the significance of the ground and our spot on it. And we have to move forward to other spots, unburdened by the fact that we don't know how to tie our shoelaces.

  22. OH LOOK - He's lying again LOLOLOL SO you admit the canadian public doesn't like trump but is definitely voting for the conservatives and the trump-like policies next time Honestly dude, I would be truly embarrassed if I were you for the number of times you've been called out for being a dumber than a stamp hammer. The media and the liberals have been saying Polievre is just like trump for a year now. And yet his popularity grows Is Pierre Poilievre the Canadian version of Donald Trump? | Vox Here's the polls and amazingly they all say about the same thing and have for months: Conservatives 42, Liberals 25, NDP 17 PowerPoint Presentation (nanos.co) That is a massive majority gov't for PP. Like - huge. It's possible the libs and dips may have a kim campbell moment. 338Canada Canada | Poll Analysis & Electoral Projections So - PP is proposing 'Trump like" policy according to the left - but the people of Canada LOVE it and will give him a massive majority next election according to the polls. Just like i said. They don't like trump but the love the policies You lose again kiddo Coming from a kid in his teens, drunk and a perfect example of why women shouldn't do drugs while pregnant he's still smarter than you

  23. Makes sense. The gist of the issue as I understand it wasn't that he left so much as he had promised repetitively that he would be there for them when they deployed. They were counting on him to do his job which I assume involves leadership and logistics and then just before they get deployed he buggers off and they've got someone inexperienced trying to figure it out. I could see where that would honk people off.

  24. That’s cause you’re used to listing to Trump constantly lying and changing his mind and going back on his word. She’s honest and she’s a lawyer and she doesn’t make commitments and then back down. So she’ll find out what the terms of these other debates are and commit once the rules are set out.

  28. Her strategy is working. Hide from answering any questions, hide from the debates, and sit back and watch the media circle the wagons around you and protect you. Can she and the media keep this up for the next few months? We shall see.

  30. Since WW2, very few Canadian military personnel have actually seen combat. Does this mean they are not veterans?
    1 point
  31. Actually, doesn't even have to be a Democrat. A highly decorated Republican and well known war hero was mocked by Trump and his MAGA cult. Not to mention all the "suckers" in the cemetery. What was in it for them, after all? And this is the champion they cheer on, rabid to join in attacking yet another honorable veteran. No kind of men whatsoever.

  32. I don't want or need your respect, DUI. I never earned it. I'm not a 'veteran' by the only standard that really matters. Respect ACTUAL veterans, and even first responders. Even Drs and nurses. Nurses do more nasty sh1t than I ever did. Nurses who served during wartime? Forget about it. They are actual, full-fledged veterans imo. But that's just my opinion. My mother-in-law, who's a real wimp when sh1t goes sideways, just a total spazz, used to volunteer at the hospital, just sitting and chatting with old people on palliative care who had no visitors. Sometimes she'd read or do whatever. Even that's more than I've done for my country. I really assign no major value to it at all. I served, and then I got out. Some people built cars. Some built houses. I rode around on a ship. Now I get a title lol. F no. Tim Walz's 24 yrs mean sweet FA now. He totally undid any credibility that he had by pretending to have served in war when he did not. It's over, and once it's gone it never comes back.

  33. I've spent a LOT of time in Canada and have only ever met incredibly nice, decent people. And somehow this board has managed to attract a truly improbable number of shitheads willing to lie, cheat, threaten violence and defame a 24-year veteran just to grovel at the feet of a fascist IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COUNTRY. This basket of deplorables is topped with gravy.

  34. Right wing lDIOTS still don't understand that "defund" means shifting SOME resources to professionals who are TRAINED to deal with the mentally ill, instead of those with NO TRAINING except how to use guns and tasers. You always pretend you know exactly what left wingers mean, but can never figure out Trump's double talk. LMAO

  35. So you must love Clinton as well. Trump cheated on his first wife with his second and his second with his third and his third with a porn star when his third wife was pregnant. Could your standards be any lower. If women could sleep their way to the top, there would be a lot more women at the top.

  36. No, one ILLEGALLY dodged the draft; and one retired after 24 years of distinguished service. And you don’t know Jack Shlt about military service, because if you did, you’d know they serving in the military makes you a veteran, whether you’re in combat or not.

  45. Yeah that’s pretty much what Ive observed too, having previously worked in a company that had unions (I was not in a union). That said, many companies deserve unions the way they mistreat and take advantage of workers. Being a keener who finds other ways to be useful when the assembly line stops, completing more pieces than your peers or running parts instead of Joe doesn’t earn you any additional recognition or pay. IMO Unions are not ideal in workplaces where workers need to make discretionary effort in the day to day activities and they are notorious for resulting in terrible and rude customer service in roles that are public facing. In a unionized workplace, the employee-employer relationship is intentionally adversarial by design, with each side agreeing to only provide the contractual bare minimum without exception. The employer has less power over its workers which provides workers with additional job security, pay and benefits and redress of grievances compared to non-union equivalents. The trade-off is as you listed above. Not to make every thread about the US election but it’s interesting to see that for the first time ever, the historically anti-Union Republican Party had the president of the Teamsters speak at RNC where he gave denounced corporate elites and union-busting to largely silent and confused audience. One political commentator joked that he must have attended the wrong party’s convention by mistake
