  1. Logically, if Biden caused the inflation here in America, why is the entire planet suffering from inflation? You see, if you weren't such an obstinate more on you'd realize that the inflation is global and not the fault of one man.... As you so stupidly claim..... Because you're a profoundly stupid person.

  2. California beaches are fine (I actually prefer a rugged coast like NorCal and Oregon) but what I think really sets CA apart is the variety. In addition to the beaches you have stunning spectacle like the redwood forests and world-class mountains and Alpine resorts. There aren't that many places in the world where one can windsurf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. Vancouver is also great that way. And you don't have to feel sticky to enjoy either of them.

  3. But.. the beaches are the geography. People love shoreline wherever it exists… Tahiti, Scotland, Iceland, you name it. But the simple truth is that things are better in California, which has lead the world in innovation for nearly a hundred years, from creating the motion picture industry to inventing the nuclear accelerator, nuclear medicine and atomic weapons, to more than half of America’s high tech. Of course the state has its problems, but it is America’s economic powerhouse, by a long shot. And, as the first post in this thread makes abundantly clear, California has an immensely better university system than Florida, from the socialist UC schools at Berkeley, LA, San Francisco, San Diego and Santa Barbara, to the elite private schools like CalTech and Stanford. California’s best schools are only rivaled in academic excellence by the very best of the Ivy League schools, and Florida’s schools are nowhere near them. It’s a simple fact.

  4. Actually, it's a global problem. How is it that you don't know that. Allow me to school you (again). 6. These are the rantings on a lunatic, completely and utterly disconnected from reality. Like, sandwich board on a street corner crazy. For better trolling you should at least make it sound somewhat possible. Like a real person might believe the claims.

  7. I read about this and that not being democratic. There are three forms of government in the world as far as I know off the top of my head. Most are republics, some are monarchies and the rest are dictatorships. There are no democracies that I can think of. Some republics claim to be democratic republics like North Korea, and the former East Germany, but there are no actual democracies. There are Republics like Russia, China, Mexico and the USA. There are Monarchies like Norway, the Netherlands, Japan and Canada. Then there are dictatorships like Myanmar, and Pinochet's Chili. Can anyone point to an actual democracy?

  8. In 1900 America the USA had taken in 4.5 million Irish and 4 million Italians. The US population in 1900 was 76.3 million. Thus immigrants from just Ireland and Italy were 9% of the US population. In 2020 America had a population of 329,500,000. The Hispanic population in 2020 was 62 million or 5.3% of the US population. An now according to right-wing media, we have a massive problem. Could that problem be racism? 1. A brief statistical portrait of U.S. Hispanics The U.S. Hispanic population reached 62.1 million in 2020, accounting for 19% of all Americans and making it the nation’s second largest racial or ethnic www.pewresearch.org

  9. That would be my advice to Ukrainians. He's clearly not engaging in this destructive war for his own country's sake.

  10. Get with the program. They steal the jobs you don't want anyway, somehow get to collect welfare you pay for at the same time and get to vote while they throw yours away, and none of them are Baptists! /s

  12. Of course the war is 'legal'. It's hypocritical BS to say that just because the US is against Russia, the war is illegal. Was it legal for the US to threaten Russia with war if they didn't pull their missiles out of Cuba? Seems like a lot of Americans feel like Kennedy is a hero for what he did in '62, the year after the Americans invaded Cuba "legally?" or "illegally?" Was destroying NS1 and 2 legal, or was it an act of international terrorism by the US? I don't really give a shit about what the US and UK want to call 'legal', and the UN is garbage. They just realized that Iran didn't deserve a seat in the Women's Rights Commission on Dec 14th 2022. As in 8 days ago. They've spent the last few years having women whipped and then jailed for decades just for removing their hijabs, now all of a sudden the UN noticed something's up????? The fact is that Ukraine provoked this war, and the war would end if Zelenskyy didn't want it to keep going. I don't know what he's personally getting from it, but it must be a lot if he's willing to see so many of his citizens die.

  13. President Trump assures us that he won his second term in 2020. So, he is almost through his second term. The 22nd amendment forbids him to run for a third term in 2024.

  14. It was a big mistake by peanut brain US president in late 70's, the Carter administration to facilitate the coup by mullahs in Iran in 1979. Ever since this fascist islamic republic was established in Iran as a result of power transfer from Shah to mullahs by Carter in 1979, it is the beginning of state sponsored terrorism, islamic fascism and extremism in the form of a government in the middle east and the world, Then the second big mistake was by Obama administration, another idi*t Democrac who started negotiating with these bunch of murderous terrorists in trying to sign a nuclear deal. That was stupid too. These bunch of terrorist mullahs had no intention of living up to their part of deal and it has now been proven beyond reasonable doubt. Someone should remind these idi*ts not to negotiate with thieves, murderers and rapists.

  15. I think the OP headline is actually a mis-quote. It was David Lewis who coined the phrase and it was "corporate welfare bums." Much of the inflation is not only due to the deadly pandemic, but also President Putin's attempt to violate the independence of the Ukraine.

  16. The Magna Carta was written to transfer more rights to the aristocracy from the King. As a human being, King john was an unpleasent man, but as a King, he was progressive. He was the best educated English monarch up until that time. He was unusual in that he proudly called himself King of England rather than his brother Richard and his ancestors who preferred to be Dukes of Normandy. John loved England and the people of England, unlike his brother who hardly ever set foot in the place. He was the first King of England to know how to speak English and actually spoke it as his first language. If you were a serf in dispute with your Lord and you managed to get your case heard by King John, he was more than likely going to side with the peasant if his case was reasonable. King John despised the Barons as arrogant uneducated bullies. There was very little in the charter to benifit the lower classes. In that sense, it was the Magna Carta that gave licence to the excesses of people like the Hugh Le Despensers.

  18. For me the funny part is that leftists here view the burka/hijab as "a beautiful symbol of women's rights and religious freedoms" when in reality, it's the universal symbol of misogyny, religious bigotry, and genocide. The only symbol that can draw legitimate comparisons to the hijab/burka is the swastika.

  20. Once in a while, it is good to come up for air and take a deep breath of reality. Unless there is a dramatic shift to the centre by the CPC with a credible centrist leader, Prime Minister Trudeau will win another minority term in the next election. The CPC has become too idealogical to expand the tent to appeal to pragmatic voters.

  21. That would be CSIS's role and they did catch it. How and why they deal with it is, by necessity, classified. This, however, does not address the rumours of an early election.

  25. Yes. President Biden received 306 votes in the Electoral College to President Trump's 232 votes. Since there was no credible evidence tested in court of any anomalies, the fact is settled that Mr. Biden is legitimately the President of the United States of America. He earned it.

  26. This is the excellence we've come to expect from you, Snufflebutt: a screenshot of some rando's twitter post as "evidence" (I suppose you couldn't find anything on Pinterest this time?) and then a stupid self-congratulatory meme. Even for a troll, you are truly next-level stupid. It's almost fascinating to watch.

  27. Conservative and Tory are two names for the same party. Prime Ministers Cameron, May, Johnson and Sunak and Diefenbaker Clark and Mulroney are all Conservatives and also called Tories. The tens of thousands of American Conservatives who fought for their King and Country were Conservatives and also called Tories. Don't they teach American history in your state?

  28. it is not actually true this foreigner makes a false distinction between "Canada" & "The British" when in fact, Canada is British Canada is the Confederation of the British Empire I was born in the British Empire under the British North America Act we all ruled over the Raj in India, as we are all the British even Quebec is British Canada; founded in the Glorious Revolution of 1688 by William III, Prince of Orange the modern liberal British state of the Protestant Reformation & associated Enlightenment that is where the Westminster Parliament in Ottawa originates thus it is this Iranian migrant who is ignorant of our history, not I Ducimus
