Why is NDP leader Jagmeet Singh calling for an emergency debate on the health care crisis involving children? Where was he the past number of year when health care has been in a crisis for years with long waiting lists for essential cancer treatments, etc., people dying on waiting lists, people waiting in emergency rooms for many hours, and people dying waiting waiting for emergency treatment? There are millions of people who do not have their own doctor, yet he made a deal with Trudeau to keep the Liberals in power in exchange for getting a dental care program for children. Somebody should tell Singh there are a lot more people in this country than children who require essential health care, as much as it is a deplorable situation. MPs and parties are supposed to be representing all people, not just the feel good little children who I also love. All people in Canada deserve proper health care. Very few children have actually died from the viruses in the present crisis, although any deaths are unacceptable. The fact is many adults have died because of the failing health care system. Singh needs to wake up as do the rest of MPs and government and fix the health care system for everyone. The main thing that Singh talks about is the immediate health crisis for children. He is obviously doing this because it is a feel good, vote getter line. This is one of the problems with so-called "democratic" Socialism. Politicians favour certain demographics or bases of people and can ignore everyone else because calculations are made on how many votes it will earn. Adopting feel good and sound good policies become the norm while the major problems are ignored. Democratic Socialism becomes a popularity contest. NDP crying about how the health care crisis is now affecting children, but the NDP are the big supporters of teaching sexual orientation and gender transitioning ideology to school kids which destroy kids and people's lives. They appear to want to save their bodies but in effect destroy their minds. The NDP are so mixed up, I don't know where to start.2 points

1. Perjury is a legitimate crime. 2. If you think Republicans have somehow "learned from" the Democrats how to investigate and persecute officeholders over bullsh*t, made-up charges, you have a remarkably short memory. See Clinton impeachment circa 1998. 3. There is nothing made up or trivial about either of the Trump impeachments. He was unquestionably guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors--particularly in the first impeachment--but most of the Republicans voted politics instead of principle, so he was not convicted.2 points

Every new spending program is a blatant redistribution of wealth. Most people will never see $10 a day daycare or free child dental care. These aren’t universal programs. A small segment of the population will enjoy these benefits at a time of extreme public debt. These programs are headlines to buy votes.1 point

Even an order of magnitude MORE the 2nd impeachment. If attempting to violently overthrow election results to cling to power is not a "high crime," nothing is.1 point

We should prioritize by funding and making existing programs work properly before we spend on new ones. You can't demand billions to fix something you already have while at the same time demand billions in new spending for new programs. That's a sure way to be half assed or worse at everything. Singh wants everything with no regard how to pay for it.1 point

He DEMANDED a specific number of votes be added to his tally "which is one more than we have." NO "reading in" about that. Did that not get past YOUR FILTER? LMAO "The voting" ALWAYS stops when the polls close on schedule. WTH are YOU talking about? Do you mean "vote counting"? STILL out of the loop. LMAO1 point

He is right but maybe he should concentrating on fixing our existing health care instead of promoting new spending on things like dental and $10 daycare. Nothing wrong with those but he seems to want everything without any need for priorities.1 point

“Million or so”? Can you make just one f-ing post that doesn’t include an obvious lie? So… not every member of the Manson Family murdered someone. So would you say that the murders they did commit should not be investigated?1 point

That's an interesting take. Are you perhaps lashing out because people aren't just agreeing with your silly narrative and your poorly-informed and poorly-referenced material? Can you show us where in that article you posted they said we're heading for deep recession? ?1 point

Not really. I think much of the Left, and certainly the progressive element has adopted immigration as a sacred cause simply because the great majority of immigrants are non-white. Since anti-racism is now basically their religion any suggestion immigration should be lowered is akin to demanding fewer non-white people come in which of course is racism which of course is blasphemous evil. There seems to be no thinking beyond that on the part of the proponents of immigration. And since the progressives control academia and the media, these are the views which get propagated.1 point

Your pals swarmed the capital, not because they had evidence of foul play.... Oh no.... They did it because their "feelings" were hurt when Donald lost. Feelings are not evidence of foul play. So they had zero justification for swarming the capital. . F__k your feelings.1 point

Hang on. Before we go any further I need to know who you're calling "They." Why were "They" there? Is that what you're asking? By "They" do you mean the million or so patriots that were in Washington for the 'Stop the Steal' rally. Or do you mean the 880 dummies charged when they followed assorted agitators and instigators (No. Not Donald Trump) into the capitol building. Because the two groups were "there," wherever that is, for different reasons. The smaller group was there because they made mistakes. The much larger main group was there for legitimate reasons. But which one is "They?"1 point

Yes. As Americans we have the right to voice our displeasure if an election doesn't go the way we like. What we do not have the right to do, is block the the legal transfer of power through violence. Which is what we experienced on Jan6th..... But why were they there? They were there because Donald told them the election was rigged. And those gullible fools believed him.... Hook line and sinker..... And here's your favorite line... They believed him even though he had absolutely no evidence of fraud viable enough to be substantiated in a court of law..... And he still doesn't. And you're still carrying his torch. It's unbelievable.1 point

I’m not especially concerned about making foreigners civilized or even about which cultural groups are coming, though it does have to be recognized that not all cultures are equally supportive of our democratic and cultural traditions (and that should be considered in immigration policy). I like having many different cultural backgrounds, food, music, etc. in Canada. I’m asking what the value is of substantially adding to our population when we clearly can’t support the current population with our infrastructure and there’s nothing to compel people to move north. Basically everyone is crammed into the narrow band along the US border and Great Lakes. It means we’re paving over scarce arable land and destroying the quality of life for the people who already live here in terms of commute times, home prices, air quality, and general cost of living. If we had an excellent network of convenient, fast commuter rail lines and the population was more evenly distributed between even the near north and south, I would be more supportive. Boosting immigration has become a mindless, reckless attempt to grab future voters by making them feel beholden to the state. All that’s going to come of adding 500,000 immigrants per year is that Greater Toronto and Vancouver will get more expensive and harder to get around. Our ESL educational supports and social services will continue to be stretched and our social cohesion will be challenged as more people without western democratic traditions try to strip women of rights and lead us to more Chinese hive mentality totalitarian styles of managing large masses of people. It likely means more surveillance and top-down dictates to manage the unruly masses. It certainly is a threat to individual rights, especially when we see how rights are compromised when our public health system can’t support the population’s health needs in a public health crisis. The easy to understand and navigate smaller Canada that was laid out in Victorian times is essentially turning into nondescript uniform vertical sprawl and future St. Jamestown ghettos. How is this desirable? I understand that some of this is inevitable and we’ll need some immigration to replace our workers. It certainly makes a mockery of our “climate action plan” if you believe that such plans can make a difference. For years I’ve believe in a graduated citizenship process that has a northern residential requirement for a minimum number of years. It would make neglected communities more viable and create a steady supply of labour for northern resource development and manufacturing. Eventually some of these settlements would take off. Canada doesn’t have a St. Petersburg. Our northernmost major city, Edmonton, isn’t very far north considering Canada’s northern reach. I don’t see much value in building endless walls of condos along the north shore of Lake Ontario or the watershed around Greater Vancouver. It’s fine to build Hong Kong in the Toronto Port Lands and former industrial lands in places like Hamilton but erasing the historic charm and character of countless neighborhoods makes Canada less attractive.1 point

So you e justified their actions by pointing out the ones who did not smash their way in? Wow.... What a compelling argument.1 point

Mr Hardner, That is a good question. What does right-wing mean? I don't think it is a vector. To me, right wing is moving dramatically toward fascism. Fascism has many variations but here are some of the characteristic that have applied since the Italians invented in WW1. Reverence & Deference for a Powerful Leader - without regard to his actions "all elections are rigged and corrupt" Hatred for those on the left - who are actively seeking to destroy our country i.e his enemies. Disregard for laws and a Constitution - i.e. January 6th and the attempted Trump takeover. Trump's many trials and prosecutions are only "witch hunts" by communists and those trying to destroy America. To fix America, Trump will have to break rules, regulations and articles of the Constitution. Exactly as Hitler did. The identification of the current government as unredeemable - the current government that have been identified as corrupt and filled with people who hate America and communists at all level of the government i.e. According to Trump defeating Democrats is the same thing as defeating communists. His words Blaming the "other." For Hitler it was the jews and communists that caused all the pain and suffering of the German people. Now is the "hoards" of criminal immigrants flooding into America, taking our jobs, replacing "true" Americans and for the pain and suffering of America. He has drawn near the those who also blame the Jews. He has called out paramilitary private militia on a "stand back and stand by basis.1 point
