Approaching Vancouver by plane from the eastern direction, the extent of deforestation is obvious; the terrain is uneven many hills, ranges and valleys; and not a singe little hill is left unscathed with wide swaths of clearcuts with small islands of forest in between. Are mudslides and floods related to deforestation? How common are they in the natural environment? Are we going to play blind, deaf and dumb again and again hoping to squeeze by the nature just another time, somehow?

I don't disagree with that, but my point was Mr O Toole had presented his self as a blue tory to the tory convention, which won him the leader of the conservatives, then a very short time later he announces his election platform and it is on the left of center platform ...Thats why the conservatives are in a uproar... they feel betrayed, and a lot of groups that had conservative backing were left in the cold, like the gun lobby etc... 2. Every Politician ever named has pretended to listen to voters needs, and once elected either found those promises not based in reality, or the just conveniently forgot about them. And every election Canadians gather around in groups listening carefully, in hopes one politician is going to hear them. only to be disappointed after the election when promises are no more than a pipe dreams, for the most part. which might just account for our mistrust in politicians , of course I am only guessing. 3. Women, I'm confused by your comment, because Justin has pretty much done everything he can to lie his ass of to them, and yet as you said they still vote for the guy...either they are very gullible, or they are secretively see Justin as their ideal man... The LGBTQ group is another group who's lobby is far to powerful and far to the left and still not happy with the recognition they receive or power they wield . like i said if you don't dance in their parade you are not getting their support. for them you either love them or hate them their is no middle ground. the gay community and religion do not mix very well. 4. The liberals have done an excellent job of divide and conquer, this nation is so divided getting even the simplest things done is next to impossible. There is always going to be one group that disagrees and projects die until they are forgotten. what is needed is someone that can do things that will benefit everyone and drive or force them through. but they are to worry about getting elected

You make the assumption I blindly obey because? I support the vaccine? I think overwhelmed healthcare systems are a reasonable reason to implement a Lockdown? I don't believe the vaccine is killing thousands of people? I think I've been clear on this site I don't like these testing requirements for international travel for vaccinated people. I thought the Ontario Lockdown was a bit much, but it has proven to be worthwhile. I did see family during lockdowns. I'm not militant about mask wearing. It's convenient to just pigeonhole people into categories. Very authoritarian of you.

I'm a big fan of Bill Whittle too. My favourite recent one - I like it even more than that one - is when amateur historian, Bill, compares three military attacks from history to what Progressives are doing today. The idea is such attacks are desperate attempts. They're only real purpose seems to be a hope of destroying hope in their attack targets. Ultimately they fail. Gave me hope:

They are related in a number of ways and I can tell you my take on it. When you have the healthy forest on the slope, you have those big trees, 30-40 meters tall that create a shield from the sun, as well as a water absorbent pad exactly that thick. When it rains, water is accumulated in the tree canopy, in the undergrowth, in the moss underneath and finally in the soil. Since you have the thick shady shield that provides protection, evaporation is slowed down, water run off is slowed down. All water is slowly released over a longer period of time and feeds the streams and rivers more or less evenly through the year. You no longer have this water reservoir which held and released the water gradually over time. Then the water goes straight into the first creek, or river and you have a muddy flood taking down trees with it, eventually you have land slides. The flood is a disaster for everything - not just us, the idiotic humans. All fish eggs are washed out, productive soils are removed and gone, slopes are destroyed forever , so it will now take ages ,if not thousands of years to get the same level of nutrients deposited, and some balance achieved. Wildlife suffer with their food sources wiped out. It goes on and on. To repeat the point; instead of having even slow water release cycles - smaller amounts of water evaporating and coming down in the form of rain, you now have only peaks and lows, because the system we created releases all water right away, and the whole amount comes down again in a torrent, or the whole amount is totally missing and creates a drought. The huge amounts of CO2 we are pumping into the atmosphere have changed its properties. Now the sun rays hit harder and dry things faster, which aggravates the first problem with the missing forests. It is a wicked vicious circle we have put ourselves into and I have no idea how we get out of it now. Does it all look somewhat similar to what we observe today? But there are always these experts #1 , #2, #3 ...#1,356,897 Experts never end and you cannot teach them nothing.

I know when I'm being played. I know whether a person/or people are lying by just how they're selling their story. James Clapper, coincidentally one month ago (on the day he announced his retirement), stated that the intelligence community has no credible evidence, and now that he is pretty much gone, the intelligence community has ramped up the story. And today it was announced that the oversight committee has asked the CIA (and others) to come brief them on the evidence, and were told they wouldn't brief them. As I said, nothing will come of this, you'll never see any plausible evidence. All that will happen is that the CIA hangs out some idea and stands back while the media tries to connect dots that aren't there. You guys can buy whatever story you're fed - I don't have to.
