  1. What is the point of these articles? A news media outlet that does not have citations on a scientific topic has 0 value to anyone, other than an opinion piece. The only way a news media outlet has scientific or medical credibility is if they have an impeccable record of correct information and multiple citations to scientific studies. Depending upon the claim, even an opinion from a professional is questionable without supporting data or citations. The "anti-vaxxer" has the same problem, what what is the point of his opinion? it holds no validity without citations or data to support his claim.

  2. Now that the experts pronounced their judgement, it's worth to remember those words, "never say never again". mRNA vaccines are based on massive infusion of certain very specific messenger RNA into body cells. The process of recombination of DNA and RNA is in principle, possible and has been described. No, it has not been reported, to my knowledge, specifically in relation to Covid mRNA vaccines. But is a year of trials, under strong incentives and pressure to get to the market sufficient to assure that it cannot and will not ever happen? I'm not calling for it, but the Nature has been known for playing ironic tricks on over-confident scientists.

  3. Looks like the expiration of vaccinated protection is a Polichinelle's secret: Ottawa to offer boosters to at-risk groups. Imposing mandatory rules and regulations for general population now, other than in very specific cases where it's can be justified by solid arguments and evidence, before long term policy with respect to boosters and continuous vaccination is discussed and defined is a travesty for a democratic society and a risky decision with unknown, difficult to predict longer term consequences. What if this country's appearance, shell democracy is meeting its match? What if there are problems for which the default solution of apology and compensations generations after another fiasco is not guaranteed?

  4. If the vaccines weren't making people extremely sick, and if they were working like vaccines are supposed to work, and if the people who are going authoritarian on us weren't lying about everything and shoving these down our throats I'd consider them. As it is, the mRNA vaxxes come from the biggest lobbyists in NA and they're being pushed by the greasiest politicians. I don't trust them and I don't feel a pressing need to get one.

  5. You are misreading the chart. Of the vaccinated 0.36% are hospitalized and 0.07% are in intensive care. Of the unvaccinated 4.19% are in hospital and 1.53% in icu New case rate for the vaccinated is 1.25 per 1000 For the unvaccinated it's 8.7

  6. It would be funny if the Conservatives would be allowed to run that on tv!

  7. if you don't believe me do your own homework and go back and look at any election in Canadian history to show me a single counter example of a Conservative winning a federal election without the Liberals shitting the bed in Quebec and the Conservatives killing it in Ontario happening simultaneously it's not a thing that has ever happened and that is not a coincidence it's just how Canadian politics work I find it odd that people who think they know a lot about Canadian politics are somehow completely oblivious to this obvious dynamic that runs through every single federal election in Canadian history the only explanations I can think of is 1) ignorance of Canadian political history to a staggering degree that y'all somehow missed this or 2) wishful thinking that is so powerful due to Trudeau Derangement Syndrome that all logic goes completely out the window or 3) both

  8. Since modern digital man is entirely dependant on technology to exist, it makes sense that the majority put such faith in Glaxo-Smith-Kline et al. Silver bullet, that's a good one. We're praying for that miracle. Yet it is baffling that we didn't take other steps to mitigate the damage of the virus. Those are still problems that could be dealt with and could improve our situation. Yet they weren't done. Presumably the politicos felt they were too expensive, not worth it. But that can't be it. The cost of societal harm is far greater. But that is going to be in the long term, so would be a problem for the next government to solve. Another example how democracy fails, in emergencies. In communist China, the government is the government now and tomorrow. Therefore, De-mockracy. Or is it more than just human stupidity that fails us. Is there malevolent intent to make sure these conditions persist for as long as possible? Who would benefit from that... answer- follow the money. Yep, please do that ye stooges. Other than that I have no explanation.

  9. Don't fool yourself into believing that no Liberals went to the NDP in the last election. Liberals who can't stand Trudeau did just that. Those same Liberals might find O'Toole acceptable.

  10. Yep. Complete woke-servative. Trump broke his brain, so now he’s embraced pretty much every left wing talking point. It’s actually really funny to watch.

  11. Don't kid yourself...feds and several provinces in Canada are curtailing liberties, imposing restrictions, limiting commerce and livelihoods, etc. Supporting these restrictions, especially without due process, is not conservatism....it is supporting tyranny.

  12. For me therapeutics are the answer but the 'Masters' behind the great reset won't let you hear about them much less allow doctors to prescribe them.

  13. So it’s probably inevitable that just about everyone will get the virus eventually. Being vaccinated gives you a good chance to fight it. So does being fit and young. If you you’re able to fight the virus (and most people are) and you get Covid, at least you’ll have even more immunity. This was inevitable. We’re not going to eliminate the virus. Through vaccines, perhaps annual boosters, good health, and sensible hygiene, we’ll be able to carry on with somewhat normal lives (assuming government restrictions are eventually lifted).
