Better than for Canada...the US (and other "allies") have banned Huawei...Canada is afraid to do so.2 points

1. One can still care without losing perspective. And one should most certainly not lose perspective over a single president...especially in another country. 2. Why ? Because it is Trump...being Trump...and they are triggered by anything Trump does. They never really accepted Trump's election in 2016 (but call for "unity" now, of course). 3. The secret is to never have become so obsessed with Trump in the first place. Don't take the bait...or at least understand what he is doing and why he is doing it if you must take the bait. 4. No...I am a pagan and have no need for your God. I can see "God" on any clear night and take its picture. Space-time doesn't care about Trump. 5. Trump is just a symptom of much larger issues. "Needing help" has been co-opted for political gain....do think most Americans really need 60,000 pennies to survive COVID ? I suppose that consuming so much American media will inevitably lead to Trump intoxication for some...but Trump's lawsuits are trivial and will not lead to another civil war in the United States.2 points

1. Yes, Covid. 2. Context is important. It's kind of like saying "I shoot things all the time, I shot a deer last fall... so why are people so mad at this Lee Harvey Oswald fellow ?" 3. The only thing that should matter is *THREAD RESET* ... THE LAWSUITS.2 points

The recent American election seems to show that there were abnormal/inconsistent procedures. This has to be investigated. President Donald Trump winning/losing a second term based on the inconsistent voting procedures also has to be investigated . . . . . no big deal. Have an investigation. Clear the air.2 points

...and the frantic Trump haters like you still haven't figured out why Trump was elected in the first place. Nonsense...President Trump clearly stated that he wanted more stimulus cash for Americans way back in September.1 point

Forgetful bumbling Biden will not even be President for one day. We will see another four more years of Trump once Trump exposes the deep state for what it is very soon. Watch out for Jan. 6th. Big and great news will be coming out around that date. The deep state globalists are now fighting for their evil satanic useless lives and Trump will end their miserable existence and lives shortly there after forever unless they can find some way to assassinate Trump. Camela is married to one of those deep state globalists. But she is finished also. Just my prediction but we will wait and see.1 point

You're lying. The actual fact of the matter is that a lot of Republicans "don't think that there's enough incontrovertible evidence to overturn the election". That's not the same thing at all as saying that "Trump's own hand-picked cabinet members don't believe he won the election". That's actually not even an issue at all. What actually needs to be determined is: "Exactly how much election fraud occurred, and who should be held accountable?" I also doubt that there will be enough concrete evidence to overturn the election, but I think it's disgusting that there's an all-out effort to block a proper investigation. It's 100% certain that this was the most fraudulent election in America's history, and that a majority of Americans believe that to be the case. The Dems just want this to all go away, like water under the bridge, and that shouldn't be allowed to happen or democracy has run it's course.1 point

1. Not meaningless at all...using your analogy....the life and death of stars/planets is a very common and ordinary occurrence. It just takes a long time from our short perspective. Some things seem to matter so much more when "Trump" is involved....strange. Trump will fade away too...if you let him. 2. Exactly the point...I have a much longer perspective for my country's history and challenges. Trump is just another U.S. president, and less impactful than many others in several, significant ways. But he has mastered modern media so well, it evens works on Canada.1 point

China already had its way with GM (it owns an absolute MINIMUM of 50% of the tangled web of companies, in many cases much more). It also pulled a lot of other GM Asian business INTO China. China is well on its way to owning the USA as well (take a look at general aviation - most of the big names and several of the smaller ones are 100% Chinese owned now - and so it goes in MANY industries). You are right: Canada can't stop anyone (serious case of no balls and not much better for brains) but the US can't and won't either.1 point
-
What do you think the USA has done in Canada....far longer than China. 50% of Canada's manufacturing base is owned by U.S. corporations. Petroleum/bitumen production too. GM now sells more cars in China than in all of North America. Canada couldn't stop the Americans, and it sure as hell can't stop China.1 point

There are 3 levels that we engage with China upon: Economic, Political/diplomatic and Military. The whole diplomatic reason for dealing with China in the first place was the concept that if they became our trading partner, they would be less likely to remain a military opponent. Our politicians and diplomats were so inept at seeing much beyond the end of their nose they did the right thing by inviting China to export to us, but did the VERY wrong thing by not making it conditional to gain only access for products made to environmental, safety, quality and human rights standards that Canadian could accept. We did this out of pure ignorance and stupidity, whereas the Yanks did out of arrogance and ignorance. I have been watching China from a ringside seat starting in mid 90s, and way back then, I had learned enough about China (my business partner had dealt with the Chinese government for more than 30 years by then) to realize that the light at the end of that tunnel was a very big train that was going to run over the US (I thought in 50 years, but cut that in half in reality). One thing common to China under whatever system of government is that there is precious little regard for human life or rights. Another thing that Westerners never seem to appreciate is that China has never been closer to being one whole country than it is right now. It will NOT stop until has all of its component pieces together until it has absorbed Taiwan, one way or another. What is common to Canada is that we have maintained a standing army and a reserve force for over a century that is based upon the idea of defending countries where human rights and lives are threatened, not aiding them in their expansion. China has no need to invade Canada, it will simply buy us...with our own money. But to invite the Chinese military in - you know, the same people who maintain a MASSIVE digital intelligence gathering network that steals IT and IP by the terrabyte every hour - is little short of treason. While I have great respect and even admiration for what the post Mao governments that Deng put on course and have achieved, I am also highly aware of the Chinese military - my Father-in-law was a PPCLI vet who fought in Korea. It is very appropriate to not just respect China, but to fear it as well. They simply don't fight by the Marquis of Queensbury rules.1 point

Clearly the majority do not believe Trump won the election or any of these ridiculously absurd conspiracy theories that have now expanded to include a significant percentage of the Republican Party and many of Trumps own hand-picked appointees and cabinet members. If you don’t understand that you’re even more clueless than I thought, which is saying a lot. In the past I’ve pointed out the inconsistency of you righty conspiracy nuts...sometimes you pretend that the whole world agrees with you and anyone who doesn’t fall in line is some kind of brainwashed cult minority. Other times you claim the exact opposite, that the whole world has been fooled by a vast and sophisticated global conspiracy and only your select group of Trump worshippers know the real truth. In the past I’ve asked you to just confirm for the record which is your true belief but of course like a true coward you never answer and you’ll be a coward again this time and dodge the question again I’m sure.1 point

The FBI didn't run a smear campaign for 4 years for no reason. The FBI and the Dems wanted to get Trump badly, just like they want to shield Biden from his scandal. The FBI didn't get any evidence of collusion, or they would have said, "we have evidence that Trump colluded with Russia." Schiff would have finally trotted some evidence out, instead of just pretending that he had some. FYI Russia is not a threat to the US anymore - their economy is 1/16th of America's and their technology is lacking. China is by far America's biggest threat, and Russia is a distraction.1 point

It's how the new politics works- accuse your opponent of committing the crimes that you are actually doing yourself.1 point

You are only beginning to glimpse it. My advice is to bask in my thoughts while I am here on Earth. Here: We need to be cautious about China.1 point
