  1. Originally, I thought all these protests were about 2 things, one black lives matter, and 2 , the excessive use of force ,plus the use of deadly force by police officers... but I guess not, this is now about the RCMP not shooting the white man during the attack on parliament .... because RCMP got this one right it , this incident is now being used to display an example of racism to the rest of the country .... And he is an elected official in our nations parliament, I wonder does he have a security detail of RCMP, and what do they think about these accusations....Or am i making something out of nothing... https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/rcmp-disappointed-by-talk-that-race-a-factor-in-quiet-rideau-hall-arrest/ar-BB16AREG?ocid=msedgntp

  2. 343 bil will be added to the national debt, Thats not including what the liberals have contributed to the debt already in the last 5 years of their reign another almost 100 bil, ya lets let that sink in for a minute they have almost doubled our national debt in 5 years.... And here is some more good news this is just a snap shot, this number could balloon to even higher, lets face it we all know it is going to get way higher, liberals have not told us the truth since they have been elected... some sources are expecting this number to go as high as plus 612 bil by 2021. Our credit rating has been lowered to AA rating, which translate into higher interest rates and more added debt... I think we all can agree that this number is staggering, but Justin has been handing out bils to major corporations, students, anyone and everything...is getting handouts...and what have we received for this vast amount of money....We still do not have a plan on how do we get our nation back up and running, " with out a plan we do not know the end costs" we still have not solved any of our old major problems, clan water for first nations, infrastructure projects, my favorite VETS benefits ....let alone the new ones that presented themselves during the pandemic...i mean if we are throwing away money atleast lets get some issues off the table For liberals this is going to be normal....no big deal... 343 bil is a huge deal, we all need to question where all this money is going, and to whom, i mean other than 900 mil to WE that is which could of almost gave vets everything they have asked for ....my great grand children are going to be shafted with this debt....your grand children are as well....It's time we toss these merry band of idiots out...... https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/high-unemployment-343b-deficit-projected-in-liberals-fiscal-snapshot/ar-BB16uJ62?ocid=msedgntp https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/liberals-fiscal-snapshot-predicts-343-billion-deficit-as-bill-morneau-offers-little-intention-to-curb-spending

  3. No one has been able to demonstrate to me that 'systemic racism' even exists today. Usually when you ask they get angry and give you specific instances where someone allegedly did or said something racist. At best, they mention the Indian Act, but nobody likes the Indian Act and we'd love to get rid of it if we could get the indians to agree.

  4. Obviously something smelled fishy with Trump's links with Russia. But if there was corruption, you can bet the Democrats would have exposed it and tried to pursue it. Never believe anything without evidence. There has never been such an overwhelming effort by the MSM to discredit and takee down a POTUS, not even close, it's insane. Much of the media is straight out to f**k Trump and he knows it. You look at Trump vs Clinton vs Biden, which one is controlled by the corporate class and which one doesn't a give a rat about anything but their own interests? Trump is a threat to the corporate class because he's not nearly as controllable, so the MSM has been given the ok to destroy him. Trump is also giving them a lot of material to work with lol. Corporate advertisers have a lot of sway in the MSM because advertisers pay their bills. Stopping illegal immigration isn't in corporate America's interests, nor is messing with trade with China etc, nor is being the least warmongering POTUS since before WWII. Corporate America are globalists, and profit doesn't give a rat about America.

  6. Keeping the U.S. Senate is more important to the GOP than President Trump getting re-elected. The Republicans actually gained two Senate seats after the 2018 mid-term elections.

  10. Well I obviously agree that it's going way too far, and that's the whole point of this thread (IMO). The universities are the worst among the offenders. Well I'm completely against the rioting and looting for obvious reasons, but you make the common mistake of thinking that this is symbolic of the movement itself, rather than the same sort of criminal opportunism we all the time during protests. As for the "lie", I still think you're missing the message. The message, as far as I can tell, is NOT that police all over North America are racist and looking to kill black people. As for systemic racism, you're being incredibly choosy with your "facts". The idea that "culture" people being full of single parent families and having little respect for education is highly misguided. There's a direct correlation between poverty and single-parenthood, which for obvious reasons affects a child's support and motivation towards education. This is a feedback loop that reinforces itself over generations and it's true across all races. To say it's just a "cultural" with black people is ignorant of the "facts" as you call them. Sorry.

  11. I think that Dr Lewis will beat Trudeau like a rented mule. She just has to win the leadership race first.

  12. Yes there's a lot of really stupid righties and lefties. I assume this is because there's a lot of stupid people in general.

  13. A couple more good charities are the Children's Hospital and Ronald MacDonald House. I know it sounds corny pimping a MacDonald's charity, they should just fund the thing themselves instead of asking for public money if they're going to slap their name on it, but I know a few people who have used it quite a bit and it provides help in such a meaningful way that it is a really big deal imo. When out-of-towners have kids who require frequent care, staying in hotels so that they can be with their kids is a hefty & cruel expense that could even prevent them from getting full & proper treatment if they can't afford it. The help that those facilities provide to people in the most stressful times of their lives can't be overstated.

  14. Surprise! We agree on this. Trying their best to kick the mask out of the equation when simple common sense dictates it helps prevent the spread - I don't know what the phobia is on masks! It's not like as if when you wear a mask you won't do any other precautionary measures. I simply can't understand that reaction. Think of unwanted pregnancy! Lol. Sure we're on the pill - but if you insist on the penis mask (condom) - all the better! Imagine donning masks in public, along with frequent hand-washing, and if you can do it, social-distancing! It's a win-win situation!

  16. Dr. Goldacre’s team found that patients older than 80 were at least 20 times more likely to die from Covid-19 than those in their 50s, and hundreds of times more likely to die than those below the age of 40. The scale of this relationship was “jaw-dropping,” Dr. Goldacre said. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/health/coronavirus-risk-factors.html

  17. $2000.00 a month is not "well-provided for". Many people have monthly mortgage payments that are more than that, or rent that is half that and more. If their income has significantly reduced or disappeared due to Covid, $2000 a month might help them hang on a little longer, but thats about it. Ohhh, scary ... "downright" socialism! The bogeyman of the elite! The scourge of the massively wealthy! The great levelor of the politically powerful! No socialism allowed here, dammit!

  18. That is not going to happen. McKay is all-but a shoe-in, just based on how he's acting. I.e., he's really not trying hard at all. I get multiple emails a day from her, Sloan and O'Toole, but very little from McKay, and he turned down a recent effort at having a debate with the others. I doubt Lewis and Sloan will garner more than 10% between them.
