A former ESPN reporter, Chris Palmer, was on his twitter account, lustily cheering on the rioting & arson when a low-income housing building in his city was being burned down. He sung a different tune when the rioting got too close to his gated complex: So when they were destroying other people's businesses and homes it was AWESOME!!!!!! Then when they came within 100 yards they were "animals who didn't belong in his neighbourhood" lol. The little bitch called the cops. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that evil? Aren't police forces supposed to be defunded now? I can promise you that there's not a single person who posts on this forum who would support the destruction of their own home or business, but all of these little hypocrites were ok with it when it was happening 500 miles away. "It's just a part of the overall protests. There's a good reason for it." Ok Chris Palmer.1 point

You guys are something else. Marxist indoctrination....my ass..its the exact same indoctrination you all went through and are showing on this forum. Your conditioning to get you to the head space you are now at is as totalitarian and problematic as anything you think you see in others. Marxist? People haven't read a book...any book in years. What you see is herd mentality the same thing you have when you need to come on forums and agree with one another. Herd mentality. Its what we humans do. Whether its a thought virus or a physical one its spread the same way. Its spread by people who want to share the same anger at the same object of anger in this case leftists, blacks, whatever your hate of the day object is. This behaviour is in all of us. Everyone of us can turn into one of these angry violent protesters. It does not excuse it. It does though mean simply reacting to it like its only Marxist indoctrinated students who do it is bullshit. I can guarantee every last one of you has engaged in it. Marxist? Oh bull shit. The cell phone and internet has turned us all into sheep abandoning any attempt at critical analysis and choosing instead to engage in pat, simplistic, black and white stereotyping of others. Turn off your damn cell phones. Next time you line up for a Tim Horton's or cheer a hockey team or other sports team welcome. You think you are so different? Good friggin Gawd. Commies! Let me tell you something if it was actual commies they would be far more organized and deadly. Go ask Indeed or someone who survived them. Commies don't run around on streets. They goose step in unison and come in nice little black cars late at night or track you on the streets invisibly watching for you to so much as sneeze from your right nostril. Commies my ass. Westerners. Westerners like us no different than you or I brought up on the doctrine of consumer materialism the doctrine of measuring human value based on the amount of property it can accumulate that it can then sell to make money. Its people who are angry they feel they do not have enough money. Pure, simple and it aint got sweet phack all to do with Marxism, it has to do with people wanting to be rich like other people they see and not being able to. Its about self loathing because of years of being told their value is low or non existent. Its about others just like them who to try compensate and increase their value, try put down the value of others. Its about fat men telling other fat men they are fat.1 point

The phenomena you discuss is not leftist or for that matter rightist political ideology its called contagion theory or crowd frenzy or mob or herd mentality. You are choosing to use it now in political context to suggest its a leftist belief. Of course its not its no more a leftist belief than it is a rightist belief. Any humans in a mob can act this way. Contagion theory would explain that a larger a group becomes the more it has a "hypnotic influence" on those in the group. Chemicals in the brain are activated lowering inhibition. The effect of a crowd on your brain is similar to alcohol. It releases drugs that paralyze the frontal lobe lowering your inhibitions. Another phenomena that probably also mixes with it is called convergence theory. This is where like-minded individuals already had their anger in them before they came together then the contagion phenomena causes the like-minded anger to trigger itself like a small spark of fire to a tank of gas. Bottom line is mob frenzy is identically exhibited by rightist and leftist and all humans. Wes and those who have an agenda to turn it into a leftist phenomena do so because of their agenda. We could easily have leftists on this board saying the exact same things providing examples of rightists doing the same. It misses the point of human behaviour and tries to project the biases of the anti leftist to change the actual phenomena's root causes to shared political beliefs. Most people who riot have no specific identical ideology. What they have is anger. What you see in the States is a combination of people physically contained for a long period backlashing against physical restraint from Covid 19 plus a common sense of anger over police brutality that never ends in their minds as shown to them in the media. Interestingly those quick to call it leftist use the exact same anger reaction phenomena they look for each other and form common pools or gangs of thought to rationalization the expression of their anger. Having worn a uniform and been spit on and having had to be part of work requiring we go into angry crowds to arrest people or arrest someone I can assure you the spit from either direction in a riot is no different.1 point

Trump has not done better than Trudeau, just because he stopped flights from China a few days earlier. Japan closed its borders on March 15 to Chinese passport holders. They added most other countries on April 1st. United States issued its travel ban to China, Iran and some European countries on March 11th. Canada issued its travel ban on March 18th. Not much difference between the 3 countries. So you're holding on a view/opinion that lacks proper facts. --- One thing that seems to be lost on Dr. Tam’s harshest critics is the fact that this is a novel virus. We have literally never encountered this virus before. That means that public health officials are responding to new information in real time and making policy decisions dependent on the data that is in front of them. When I asked Isaac Bogoch, an infectious diseases specialist at the University of Toronto and Toronto General Hospital, about some of the reaction to Dr. Tam’s policy, he told me: “Nobody should be free from scrutiny, and we should always hold our politicians and other officials to account, but we’ve had reasonable policy throughout this. The federal policy evolved with the evolving epidemic.” Link1 point

Most of those so called experts and scientists are mostly on the payroll of the likes of Gates to hell and other big corporations. They get paid big bucks to try and fool we the people, and sadly, many of those people can be convinced that the sky is falling down. Our dear political master politicians and the lying media should never be listened to or believed with anything they say anymore because most of it is all just plain lies and bull shit. Our dear leaders pretty much know that all of this china virus was a hoax but yet they went along with the hoax. Personally think that Tam is a Chinese communist spy.1 point

Wrong. You are an "equality of outcome" proponent, which is like rewarding people for being lazy and useless. If two responsible people work hard together and do all the right things to raise their kids, why should their children be limited to the same opportunities as the 6th child of a dropout party-girl? What would be the point of people going to college/getting good jobs, or working hard if they can just belch out kids that are guaranteed to have every opportunity to succeed? What would stop people from having 17 kids each? What reason would people have for being responsible parents? You're advocating for a nanny state, where parents aren't involved and the government runs every aspect of a child's life. Governments don't do childcare well. Children deserve the individual attention that only family can give. Strong family units are the core of any healthy community.1 point

The Black and White of Systematic Racism Less controversial... A cute euphemism for “not politically expedient.’ As for the underlying claim of disparate treatment of minorities by law enforcement, a study from Michigan State published last year reports that the mythology of racist cops does not match the reality. It doesn’t even come close. If anything, black citizens are more likely to be shot by cops who are black, and if there is a causal link, it’s the volume of violent crime that occurs in any jurisdiction. Simply put, more crime usually equals more shootings. And yet, the talking point of ‘systemic racism’ has taken hold like a prairie fire that refuses to be doused by any volume of contrary facts or evidence. At the same time, a combination of self-flagellation and self-congratulations is emanating from white leftists eager to atone, or give the appearance of atoning, for their lack of melanin while also getting their woke on, as if there is a contest to see who can preen the loudest. It’s what a friend of mine terms “pathological altruism,” the paternalistic conceit of the left that is built on the belief that black people can only advance and succeed when guided by the benevolent hand of progressive America. This mindset not only ignores the blacks who do just fine without these would-be masters, it parades the helped group as mascots to be forever reminded that their lives are only possible due to the tireless effort of their white benefactors. It is an overlay of weapons-grade condescension atop the stench of rank bigotry. Because what else can it be but bigotry when the pathological altruist essentially says “you’re nothing without me” to the minority individual while claiming “they’re as good as anyone else” to the rest of us. For an ever-so-brief moment, there was something on which we all agreed: the cops in Minneapolis were in the wrong. Unity, of course, is offensive to many in the political and pundit class, so the cohesion had to be ripped asunder and few things create division as effectively as race. Was that even a factor here? Maybe, but given the number of complaints against this officer, it is plausible that color doesn’t even register with him, that he is a sociopath with a badge and gun, and woe unto the person who falls within his crosshairs. Which speaks to an actual problem, that of far too many law enforcement agencies protecting officers who do not deserve it... 1. It's entirely pragmatic. Attitudes change over time and we need to be able to retain our core values as this happens. 2. Because human rights, fiscal intelligence and environmental thought have always been core conservative values, and they need some help shoring them up now that Russian-govt-funded extremist shitbirds are attempting to hijack a centrist and founding Canadian ethic. 3. Small l 'liberalism' is actually conservatism so your sentence is an example of the success of the aforementioned shitbirds in infecting our politics. 4. Some people like to sail with the boat tipped over and claim it's not. Conservatives support government solutions to climate change. Conservatives support transgender rights.1 point

Here's something that's worth knowing about. Do you remember how 2 or 3 weeks ago they were blasting the news everywhere about a study that purported to show how hydroxychloroquine wasn't just ineffective, it was dangerous? The "study" was backed by reputable sources like The Lancet and the New England journal of medicine and the WHO. Nevertheless there were skeptics of that study. Some of us heard about the skepticism. Well guess what? Turns out what we're being called conspiracy theory freaks and deniers were right. The "Study" was bogus. It was a fraud, a hoax, a scam. A lie. Turns out the study was co-authored by this guy, Sapan Desai. He's chief executive of this company called Surgisphere. Surgisphere had braintrusts like a science fiction writer and an adult entertainment model fabricating the data out of whole cloth. The data isn't real. It was made up. And the evidence for all this is so undeniably, incontrovertibly true that even leftist papers considered mainstream like the New York Times and The Guardian are now being forced to admit it. Google search results are "customized" according to your profile. I stopped using Chrome a while ago. Don't log in to your browser. Certain searches might affect your profile in ways you may not like. Then it's best to use incognito mode. I learned a simple way to get google ads to stop showing me offensive shyte. When I saw a banner ad for men's shoes, I clicked on it. Then did that every once in a while. FOr the next several days, I had nice shoe ads instead of photos of someone getting dental implants, etc. Stupid AI.1 point

I stand corrected. I was aware of preferences, not restrictions. Racism in hiring is systemic and has to be addressed directly.1 point

Figurative speech I appreciate is hard for some to grasp. That's because they are so busy grabbing their balls and posturing they can not just one such the phack up and lament the tragedy of ANY needless death for the very same reasons and in the memory of each dead life's unique contributions. I now bare witness to all innocent victims as well as good people of uniform dead or alive and kneel.1 point

It’s still a very isolated and more jingoistic country. Having the US next door changes our context completely. Australia in Europe or North America would be entirely different. That doesn’t mean they didn’t make some effective policy decisions, but it’s an apples and oranges comparison to Canada in many respects. Hundreds of thousands of Australians aren’t wintering in China or driving to Beijing to watch Broadway productions.1 point

I think they'd open fire the first time someone looked at them sideways. I think the idea of shooting police is moronic and would result in an even more heavily militarized, aggressive police force. There is NO evidence to support the media narrative that police are racist and target blacks. NONE. It is a media invention.1 point
