Does Prince Harry count as an "entitled refugee"? Sorry, he was the one that came to mind. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-harry-canada-jobs-1.54292023 points

Oh, you just cheered me up immensely - not cause I was right, but for the humor! Love it! Thank you!2 points

Rue is NOT a critic of Islam any more than you are. Both of you admire Islam and have mentally castrated yourselves from judging anyone from any group or religion as being in any way culturally inferior to us. I don't 'harp' on the evils of Muslims. I don't choose careful anti-Muslim stories either. I do post stories which pop up in the news, or to rebut your "Islam is the most wonderful and humane system of government on earth" arguments. I recall you once trying to explain how Egypt was a paradise for women, so I certainly found a number of stories to give the lie to that. I've also never said Sharia law is coming, and use Europe only as an indicator of what can happen if immigrant Muslims aren't properly assimilated. There is no indication that higher education defeats religious reverence among Muslims. Your studies of previous generations of Immigrants are mostly on European christian immigrants and thus of little value. Plus they're from previous generations without ready 24/7 communications with and easy flying time to the old country and its culture and values, so doubly worthless. And the primary motivation for immigrants from the third world is monetary. Were the Khadr family more 'open to new experiences and cultures'? Hmm? And if second generation Muslims are more willing to embrace Canada and Canadian values why are they more likely to wear hijabs, niquabs and burkas than their parents? Nope. I'm not even that worried by terrorism. We can handle the odd terrorist incident. What I do not want to see is the growth of large foreign communities inside Canada, clinging to foreign ways and beliefs which are hostile to our own and having more loyalty to outside forces and ideas than to Canada. The evidence from Europe suggests Muslims, esp those from the middle east and western Asia, do not assimilate easily. Nor do their kids. There is no economic case for bringing them here, especially in such numbers, as once again the evidence is they, as a group, have poor earnings. And the social/cultural reason for not bringing them over seems strong. All of which is based on logic - something entirely foreign to your arguments.2 points

I've had to research Emotional Abuse a lot lately for a case I'm working with and everything I read about emotional abusers, reminds me of the things you do/say/behave here. You employ many of the abusive communication styles of a narcissist - name-calling, twisting of words, gaslighting, assigning hostile intentions and motivations where there are none, demanding over-explanations so that you can nitpick, only listening for points to argue, ignoring other perspectives, character attacks, snotty/snarky/snide/sarcastic remarks, unwarranted and off-topic "drive-by" style attacks on certain posters in threads they haven't even commented on....... I hope you are taking out all your ugliness here and not in real life.2 points

AL-AQSA MOSQUE ADDRESS: WE WILL SOON ESTABLISH THE CALIPHATE, LIBERATE JERUSALEM AND CONQUER ROME This mosque is the third most holy site in Islam, said to be where Mohammed ascended to heaven. And this guy: Hizb ut-Tahrir - is an Islamist. What will devoted Muslims all over the world think of this? Well, I know what JW's used to think of pronouncements that came directly from the Governing Body in Brooklyn........the word of God himself.2 points

Wes I deleted my response. I just saw yours. I agree obviously with you on not using public funding in a way that discriminates..To think you call me cranky. Lol. Crotchety is the word. Hey I annoy myself. I send you plenty of likes and Argus in spite of some disagreements. Its all good. Its just debate. I mostly agree with you and Argus anyways. On Trump I deferred to criticism from you. Its all good. Dia and I debate..its all good...1 point

After taking a second look at Rue's post, it appears as though Rue was at least partially, if not fully correct, and the Global News folks (subsequently me) are at least partially wrong. There are subsidized housing buildings in TO for various seniors groups, two artist groups, the amadiyya muslims and a german people's building. It's not clear which of the buildings are subsidized by the City of Toronto though: Global News identified the muslim-only building as city-funded but didn't say which of the other buildings are or aren't. In the case of the seniors' buildings this makes some sense, we have a person in our family who's going through Alzheimer's and it would be hard for him to live with a lot of people who don't speak english. He doesn't even do well with english speakers. I could see certain xxx-language-only seniors housing being subsidized by the city, but not to the same extent as a non-discriminatory seniors building. But by religion? Nyyyaaaaa. Too bad ya old racists. Definitely no city-subsidies for you. I don't know everything about the artist's buildings, I don't have the same level of sympathy for them as the language-needy seniors, but if the layout is geared towards art displays and it's privately funded - sure. I could see a bit of a gov't subsidy. It's taxpayers contributing to the arts. We give the CBC enough and get basically nothing from it. Ugh. It goes against my capitalist nature but whatever. In the case of the germanic building and the muslim building - utter bullshit. If the government is really funding these buildings which are purely racist in their conception and usage then it's outrageous. I'm not even comfortable with this type of building with any kind of a private subsidy - at all. There's no difference between this and what Trump did in NYC. If it wasn't cool then, the City of TO didn't just make it cool now. There's nothing stopping a huge bigot from getting a big, shiny Mandate-Only sticker on his new building, saying that it's subsidized, and charging bigots a premium to live in his building, where they don't have to worry about rubbing shoulders with people they consider to be inferior. Sorry Rue, you cranky old bastard. And you too dialamah. DON'T EVER COPY AND PASTE MY APOLOGY THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!! I'll deny it! I hope you can't read this.1 point

The school-yard version of "I know you are, but what am I?" Thank you for proving my point. Emotionally, you are a toddler having temper tantrums.1 point

Dialamah defends Islam and uses all the tools Islam provides to do the job. Deceit being one of the biggest... Also, as an ideologue like ourselves, she's never going to stop defending the one true religion that she subscribes to. It's her cult...her people...her community. I expect nothing less than insults, lies and...yes...deceit. Why? It's simple, really. Islam has NOTHING good going for it...so it can't be defended on its merits. It has none.1 point

Hi Rue, I am not sure either. I never mentioned Muslims being banned in Canada? I was referring to immigration as a whole and increased crime. Are they related? We have many here in my town coming in from Somalia, India and the ME. When I shop at this particular Walmart, which I have been for years, there was NEVER Security at the door until this new year. And also when shopping here, I sometimes wonder what happened to the white folk? Hey, I stole as a kid. I got caught and never did it again and my parents had to pay a fine and I had to write an essay why it was wrong. I was 12 or 13. Wonder if they still do that?1 point
-
I shake my head when you say things like this because you have frequently held Egypt up as a shining example of Islamic moderation and when others point out instances that indicate the "lip service" you refer to now, you call them racists, bigots and Islamophobes (among many other worse names.)1 point

No one group should be given preferential treatment in public housing, especially at the expense of a disabled person unable to find housing. ETA: While this practice appears to be legal or at least condoned by city council, it does raise the issue that accommodations for cultural and religious groups are limiting access to affordable housing1 point

I love how you openly admit to your ignorance, then you just jump on Rue's counter-point as if it's gospel without checking into it, and oh, he's wrong again, as usual. Go fish.1 point

But the patriarchal attitude in Muslim countries, especially in the middle east, aided by violent attitudes towards women and their sexuality, makes it far more likely to arise there than in most places. That same attitude exists in India and to a lesser extent China, it is true. I have never seen you criticize Islam on this site. I believe you are too terrified of being seen as islamophobic to do any such thing. The Koran is considered the literal word of God by Muslims. You can be imprisoned or even executed in many Muslim countries for daring to deny that. Perhaps you being expert you could tell us which of the 57 Muslim majority countries gives the same rights to non-Muslims as to Muslims, to women as to men? The problem I have with his argument is in the shifting perception of those who think they should guard against 'extremism' as to exactly how to define that term. For example, they will brush off surveys showing 70%-80%-90% of Muslim populations support execution for blaspheme as inconsequential, and then scream in horror when a non-Muslim makes any suggestion that this sort of value system should be guarded against. Instead of calling those Muslims who believe blaspheme should bring death extremists they call out those who criticize it. According to PEW research 89% of Pakistanis believe adulterers should be stoned to death. 75% support death to blasphemers and to apostates. I chose Pakistan because it is one of our main source countries for immigrants. Do you consider these people extremists or just gentle folk with different cultural views we should welcome into Canada?1 point

Your first comment is an attempt again to be insulting showing your insecurity. Then you respond by making the ridiculous unsubstantiated accusation that Jews assisted the decision making process of placing aboriginals in Christian reform schools. Provide the proof for such an absurd accusation. More to the point even if it was true you contend what exactly...that Christian's can not question their past behaviour and neither can Jews? You clearly knee jerk respond at this point trying to deflect from the point made to you that you have no way to defend. Negative generalizations put aboriginals in these schools using a cognitive process no different then the ones you now use against Muslims. Your attempt to suggest Jews are no better than Christians not only does not address the issue but shows how insecure you are and so how absurd your responses have become. No one and not me suggested Christians were or are worse than Jews.1 point

I think Piers Morgan says it all pretty succinctly. Spare me your 'patriotic' crocodile tears, Harry - you DIDN'T have to quit. You chose to ditch the Queen, the monarchy, your military comrades and your country… to become a royal Kardashian and keep Meghan happy Oh, I know, I know…the only accepted narrative, certainly on Twitter, is that the mean, beastly, racist media has driven out poor Harry and Meghan with our despicable antics. We shamefully refused to let them lecture us about the environment AND use private jets like taxis! And we had the audacity to think a $500,000 star-studded, baby-shower party in New York was a tad inappropriate given that Harry and Meghan were busy urging us on Twitter that same week to pay more attention to poor people. Oh, and we shockingly suggested that if you’re going to have the taxpayers fork out $3 million on refurbishing your home, you should probably not hide photos and details of your son's birth or stop the public taking your picture at Wimbledon. Yes, the 'bullying' media's treated them appallingly, and it's all because Meghan has a black mother – despite the fact we all fell over ourselves for 18 months to say how fantastic it was to have a bi-racial woman enter the Royal Family. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7907757/PIERS-MORGAN-Spare-crocodile-tears-Harry.html1 point

What racism..you and Boges automatically call racism if something negative is said about Markle. Her mix is not the issue her being a pretentious phony is. She married a dim wit thinking it was her ticket to money and found out the life of a Royal is not what she thought and wants to live far better than what she would have in the UK. The Queen handled her perfectly. Buh bye and take the dummy with you. Harry will be divorced in a year and come crying back to Willie and Charlie. She will end up doing porno movies. She comes from the same escort agency as Melania Trump. Both are Epstein call girls. Racism my ass. She is a call girl who got called out. She is no victim just a diaper rash. Nothing some zinc oxide can not handle. Saint Meaghen, right.1 point

CA is right on this point, it always ends up being personal. Meanwhile in Morocco, a TV channel taught Muslim Women how to cover-up their black & blue marks after beatings by their husbands. Remember this when anyone tries to insinuate sharia into your country and convince you 'sharia" is compatible with the West. The channel did lose their licence over it https://www.enca.com/africa/morocco-tv-channel-censured-over-makeup-tutorial-for-abused-women1 point

Something is being staged right now to incite violence in Virginia. Many forums, such as 4chan, have non stop threads with the exact same copy-paste from OP to incite hatred and violence in Virginia. I don't know if it's made by a left wing organization to make gun owners look bad, or real gun nuts, but there are organized members of an organization trying to instill hate, insecurity and violence in Virginia. Stay put on that.1 point

I agree, and think this should apply to schools as well as residences for seniors, drug treatments centers, homeless shelters, halfway houses - any kind of institution that is operated by a religious organization. I suspect (though I'm not going to try to prove it) that all these organizations are heavily reliant on government funding; take away that government funding and their true desire for "charity" will be exposed. I also do not think that religious organizations should be given any tax breaks; most of them don't need it.1 point

I am afraid I fall into the small category that believes church and state need to be COMPLETELY separated. When it comes to private money, one should be free to do whatever suits them, but as soon as the taxpayer is footing the bill, NOTHING to do with religion should have any bearing whatsoever on eligibility, spending, access, etc.1 point

1 Insults betray a lack of valid, intelligent response. 2 Show us the data for "Let's just say it certainly appears there would be far less violent crime and shootings in my city if there were no Muslims here." Sounds like just more of your white supremacist racist lies and smears to me. 3 Insults again betray a lack of valid, intelligent response.1 point

I don't have "religious views". I'm not religious at all. I see religion as a behaviour modifier, sometimes an extreme behaviour modifier, nothing more. I think we'd all agree that if people of a certain race believed that no one could live in the same apartment building with them unless they were the exact same race that would be racist. I think we all know that if people of a certain religion believed that no one could live in the same apartment building with them unless they were the exact same religion that would be religious bigotry. We shouldn't be enabling extremist bigots, especially at the taxpayers' expense.1 point
-
No. It's entirely normal in Western countries for the state, city or some company to give/place some apartment building(s) for specific people. It's done plenty. Look it up.1 point

Makes you wonder why there are any homosexuals at all, what with all the heterosexual indoctrination going on. The gays are subjected to non-stop around the clock propaganda in the form of literature, film, music, commercials etc aimed at turning them straight. Not to mention the bigotry, violence and even the strong arm of the law in some countries aimed at disuading them from "choosing" to be gay. One can only assume that there must be something wrong with them. Or that it isn't a choice at all.1 point
