Liberals seem to be buying his shtick, they don't care especially in Quebec, if he wins re-election Canada will be the laughing stock of the world. Having said that, I'd give anyone else another chance as it was so long ago and he has apologized of course, however, Trudeau is such a semonizing self rightious holier than thou sermonizer who is pretty quick to call people racist when they disagree with him, that he should not be given a pass on this. Karma just ran over his Dogma.4 points

When American political leaders were getting raked over the coals for appearing in blackface, I imagine Trudeau was crapping his pants. Why didn't he go public with his own blackface BEFORE it hit the news? If he had come out and said, "Hey guys, I did this too in my younger years and feel horribly about it and have changed my views since then" I think people would have been more empathetic - everyone has made mistakes. Instead he just closed his eyes, crossed his fingers and HOPED beyond all hope that those pictures would never see the light of day. Stupid.3 points

It's not nitpicking. It's encouraging honest discussions. You are not being honest. No. The point is that you shared a statement saying that "the most popular tshirt for Muslims is a shirt that says "2030 - then we take over" This is obviously a bullshxt statement. Now that you're being challenged, you want to pass the buck and blame it on some quote from a book, like a quote from a book are facts. Or pretend that it's not a big deal that you're trying to spread a lie. But it is. When you say the most popular tshirt worn by Muslims calls for a Muslim take over, it means that majority of Muslims want to take over. Hey. I'm not the one on here spreading bullshxt. Stop being an apologist for fake news.2 points

It is now apparent that Justin Trudeau did not disclose the existence of blackface photos and video in 2015 (or earlier) because he knew damn well that it would disqualify him as a viable candidate for Liberal Party leader. Any other MP would have been immediately kicked out of caucus. So this raises the question of his honesty and transparency with party vetting, or purposeful lack thereof. He could have disclosed these episodes of poor judgement following the 2015 election and blunted the impact far earlier than a September surprise. Whatever "brand" Trudeau has cultivated to date is now badly and permanently damaged.2 points

Trudeau shouldn't be referred to as a 'kid' . . . he was an adult when he chose to insult ethnic folks, when he groped a reporter, when he lied about SNC, when he harassed his Minister of Justice, etc., etc., . . . . the list is long. The smug prick is an adult. A very self-serving, entitled adult. A creepy adult.1 point

I doubt that he will ever be invited to any non white countries anymore. Maybe even western ones also. What goes around comes around. Imagine being the PM of Canada once again and not ever being invited to meet with other world leaders in other countries? Mr, Diversity has shown us all as to where he always stood on diversity. There is no way he can deny that he was being racist because his old man was the one who started all this multiculturalism and diversity nonsense and the kid should have known better. This fool has to go. The fool has been caught in scandals, lies and now Blackface. This sure does not look like a great leader for Canada anymore, not that he ever was. The kid is more of a disaster now for Canada. And for those who still think that the kid was gawds gift to Canada, and are ready to vote for him, they all need to give their heads a bloody shake. This should be shoo in for Scheer, or hopefully Bernier, to try and make Canada great again.1 point

It's not like sites like snopes don't source their facts. And nobody who tries to discredit them has ever come up with an example of the sites providing false information. They have usually just been butthurt for being caught in a lie one too many times so all they have left is to deny verifiable truth as liberal bias.1 point

I'm sure there are lots of lovely Muslims. But this says nothing about Islam. Lots of men are not rapists, yet most rapists are men. Just because you can point out men who do not rape, does not suggest we should not worry about this. And pointing out the fact that rape is a largely male crime is not hateful, sexist or bigoted. Several global surveys have shown that the positions held by most Muslims when it comes to a wide range of liberal views (freedom of speech, rights of religious minorities, gay rights, women's rights, apostacy, etc.) are not pretty positions and that a sizeable portion hold views that are at odds with the values on which Western culture is based. So what do we do with this information? Should we refrain from having an open discussion on the matter since the majority of Muslims are peaceful? Should we ignore the daily carnage that is carried on throughout the world in the name of Islam? How do you tackle these issues when the mere hint of criticism is labeled unacceptable - racist and Islamophobic? Thousands of people are being beheaded, murdered and raped by members of Islam. Yet some see no reason to examine whether their positions might be religiously based and instead spout out empty, childish platitudes to appear "tolerant". The truth is not irrelevant. And it is wrong for a group of people to threaten and engage in repeated violence should their religious feelings be hurt. No one has the right to never be religiously offended - not even Muslims. Blasphemy laws belong in the Dark Ages. And so do a lot of other Islamic beliefs.1 point

And as has been pointed out, not all Germans were Nazis. Most of them weren't, in fact. But the Nazis had the initiative, and the influence and the power, and the rest went along with them. Either because they agreed, or because they disagreed a little but not all that much, or because they figured it wasn't really their business, or because they were afraid. Regardless of the reason, it enabled the Nazis in what they did. Not all Pakistanis are crazed religious maniacs, either. But they're all mostly quiet about things like blaspheme laws, and the hardline punishments for violation of various koranic prohibitions because, well, they disagree but only a little, or because they figure it's not their business or because they're afraid. Regardless, it means the Islamists have the stage and get to control the country's culture and laws. It's never ALL the people. It doesn't have to be ALL the people, or even the majority. It just has to be a loud, violent, determined minority and they wind up running things.1 point

Perhaps, but he could also do "minstrel shows" in the Deep North (including Canada), where they were also common.1 point

It appears that Justin’s days of prancing around in ethnic getups are numbered. If he loses his Papineau seat, perhaps he can rebrand himself as the new Al Jolson and do minstrel shows in the most racist parts of the Deep South. There are so many blackface pics of JT in circulation, surely there must be opportunities for monetization. Nevertheless, there he was in a rally yesterday tugging at the heartstrings of his supporters. He’ll ride this out and get re-elected.1 point

Smurfs can be sensitive too. Seriously, though: this is just one more of an incredible list of indiscretions that a privileged moron has done who is in absolutely no way mature, intelligent or honest enough to run for mayor of Bumfck nowhere, never mind PM of Canada.1 point

I don't think it is that simple, as I am fairly certain that Quebec has tolerated blackface until very recently. Perhaps Trudeau is just a reflection of this reality during his "formative" years. And to be fair to Quebec, blackface is still popular in Hispanic and Portuguese language television comedy.1 point

Canadian media (e.g. CTV News) is reporting on the international exposure of this story, as it apparently strikes at the heart and value of much desired foreign love and respect for Canada. So not only did Trudeau screw up with blackface, he...god forbid....is also making Canada look bad ! https://election.ctvnews.ca/trudeau-s-campaign-in-turmoil-how-international-media-is-covering-trudeau-s-racist-brownface-blackface-photos-1.46007081 point

The Liberals have no Plan B, so Trudeau is not going to resign. Ride it out and take your chances. Might have to tone down all that virtue signaling if he wins with blackface. Who would become party leader ? He already kicked Raybold out of caucus. Freeland ? (She works for Ukraine, not Canada).1 point

There is no way that's blue. And, was anybody else dressed in "brown face" for the Arabian nights theme party? NO! Ok, write that one off, but getting in "black face" to sing Day-O...or was it Mammy, I can't remember. Then, at some rally of something, does it again? This isn't halloween or acting a part, and he wasn't a kid, he was an adult...and a teacher. And, he hinted that there might be more. Oh well, I guess nobody knows the trouble he's seen.1 point

I see this as maybe the biggest problem for Trudeau. He and his war room spent the last several weeks searching, micro-analyzing and weaponizing past comments, associations, and actions of his opponents and attacking them on social media and elsewhere with constant accusations of racist, white supremacist, homophobe, etc. based on actions of the past...knowing the whole time this was in his past and that it may possibly come out. He inferred continuously that people don't change their past views. This lays bare and exposes his monumentally shallow hypocrisy, and complete and total lack of self-awareness...for those who may not have been paying attention previously. As far as damage to his campaign, I think there are two angles where this has the potential to damage him. First, it demolishes his strategy of attacking his opponents with further accusations of racism etc...this strategy of his is now off the table barring any major headlines coming from the other parties. So he is going to have to pivot and change strategy, maybe even answer some questions with coherent answers. Second, and maybe most damaging, it will call into question his seriousness by voters who want to be represented by a mature adult. When people start thinking their leader is a joke or is seen by others to be a joke, that is a game-changer.1 point

Can we get into the specifics of what these lies are? Every time I hear about Trump's lies it's always the same old examples which are incorrect and meaningless even if they were true. I've also seen lots of examples where Trump has come out and said things that people thought were lies which turned out to be true with the benefit of hindsight. Honestly, I hear about his lying so much and the examples are so weak or misleading that I've started to tune them out. I'll be all ears if you have some worthwhile and accurate examples. And one more thing about the people who call him a liar - they are actual, bona-fide, serial, pathological liars. The people who pimped collusion, obstruction, Dr Ford's story, and who still won't let those things go are in absolutely no position to be taken seriously. They have the credibility of a snake dressed up as granny. Even little dumb-ass riding hood is tuning them out. On the topic of "election promises" he's all that he said he'd be, and that's the true test of his track record imo. If someone says that they're going to do 8 things and they do 6, and try their level best to accomplish the other two, I'd have a hard time calling them a liar because the proof is in the pudding. No one says "The proof is in CNN's broadcast" lol.1 point

This wouldn't be as big an issue if Trudeau wasn't such a virtue signalling hypocrite, not only that he lied saying there were only 2 incidents, we now know there are 3 (that we know of). It's also about the Liberal tactic of digging up past Conservative transgressions which is coming back to bite them. Trudeau is a pathological liar. Live by the sword, die by the sword1 point

A third picture of Trudeau in blackface uncovered. Personally I don't think this is racist, given the context, but then I don't have the same standards as the progressive types - like Trudeau - who only need one instance of bad judgement somewhere in a person's history to judge someone as irredeemably racist forever. I can't help smile, though, at the irony of Trudeau being 'hoist upon his own petard'. And I would note that if a Liberal candidate had even one such instance surface in his or her past Trudeau would drop them like last month's poutine while giving a sanctimonious statement about how the Liberal party doesn't tolerate racism. And, of course, if these surfaced in the history of a Conservative, well, you can be sure he and his entire party would be rushing to condemn them as a white supremacist hatemonger. There is no forgiveness for stuff like this in the callout culture Trudeau enthusiastically embraces. But while I don't much care about the racism angle it does reinforce, to me, and I suspect to most world leaders who already are of the opinion that he's a shallow, virtue signaling fool, that this is not a serious person on any level. This guy goes around the world lecturing other world leaders, from China to Washington wrapped in a smug sense of superiority. As a result he's managed to alienate all the world's biggest and most influential countries. These pictures will just make them smirk. They will extend Canada's bad reputation, though, to a number of developing countries who, like Russia, China, India and the US, will now treat Canada with less respect. We've already seen that from the likes of Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. We'll see more of it if he is elected. https://ca.rogers.yahoo.com/news/justin-trudeau-brownface-scandal-005529763.html1 point

There is no labour shortage, as attested to by the parliamentary budget office, except in areas like agriculture and fisheries, because people don't want to go to those places and do manual labour - not when they have pogey to fall back on. Other shortages are fleeting, or based on the growing habit of business to refuse to pay reasonable wages, and to instead whine to the government so they can hire TFWs. 65% of graduating computer engineers left Canada last year. Meanwhile, technology companies whined to government about labour shortages, and imported thousands and thousands of workers from India and China willing to work cheap. Also, your Wall-O-Pictograms impress no one but the weak minded, and make it difficult to respond to your posts. The only additional social services they use are health care. And clearly that isn't an issue for a government intent on bringing hundreds of thousands of elderly immigrants to Canada in the coming years. Yes, but that number includes both the principal applicant, ie, the skilled person, and his wife and children. Therefore the actual number of skilled people who come in is only 17%, as written by the cite I posted - by a former head of Immigration Canada. It's about how well they do NOW, not how their children do. If it was about their kids then we'd have no need of a points system since we could just bring in anyone, knowing their kids would perform well here. So then why have a points system at all? Why not just open the borders and let anyone in? Why? I mean that honestly. You clearly don't like Canadians. You don't know, respect or share Canadian values. Your belief any but a minority agree with your eagerness to drown this country in ever larger numbers of immigrants only demonstrates that further.1 point

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/europes-no-go-zones-inside-the-lawless-ghettos-that-breed-and-harbour-terrorists This article is from 2016. Strange how they are becoming "separate Islamic societies" where Jews and Christians are not welcome, yet apologists insist that Christians and Jews are equally to blame and that antisemitism in Islam is of normal levels with the rest of society. **cue the "not all Muslims" chorus**0 points
