He is going to end corporate welfare, readjust the way payments are done to the provinces, end the dairy cartel, he is going to put 2 pipelines through regardless if BC or Quebec likes them or not ,decentralize government , make it smaller. Change our immigration policy, take us out of the UN immigration pact, stop giving away billions to foreign countries to fight climate change, lower taxes,....Shit just read it for your self... https://www.peoplespartyofcanada.ca/a_foreign_policy_focused_on_the_security_and_prosperity_of_canadians His platform is more conservative than the conservative one is...He is not doing what is popular but rather what is best for the nation, there is a breath of fresh air....he does not need to poll to death every topic to make a decision, but rather makes it based on facts and figures and what is best for the nation....he is also going to stop pandering to all the special interest groups.... Now if Andrew had more of that in his platform there would not be a problem....2 points

What makes him better than Scheer is that he doesn't subscribe to supply management.2 points

Several issues have emerged to suggest that the Ford government is less prudent than many might have expected would be the case: 1.) The fiasco over French language services indicates that Ford isn't one to ponder the implications of impetuously made decisions. 2.) His government's pot implementation plan has been clumsy and has done little other than keep the illegal market humming along. 3.) Yesterday, Toronto's city council proposed a massive raise to office budgets to compensate for the reduction in council's size mandated by Ford's government, thus wiping out most if not all the savings Ford touted. This was as predicable as cold winter weather in the Arctic. 4.) Criticism of the process for choosing a new OPP head honcho suggests that Ford doesn't understand the reasonable limits applicable to running a provincial government in a jurisdiction with 14 million people. Did the risk of an appearance of a conflict of interest never occur to him? 5.) And then, this morning, I read that Hydro One's attempted purchase of an American utility has been rejected by a state regulator on grounds of political interference in the corporation's affairs. Among other concerns, Ford got rid of the 6 million dollar man but now, reportedly, Hydro One and presumably its ratepayers are on the hook for a penalty amounting to well over 100 million. Was such an outcome never considered? Come on Doug, you're going to have to realize that you're not running a fiefdom here. Gut decisions can have very real and sometimes negative consequences.1 point

We do....and millions of legal and illegal immigrants want a piece of the action...far more than in Canada.1 point

No, you didn't plead - you demanded, and insulted! What jump the line are you on about? Who sez there should be a line-up? That he "jumped the line," must mean he's got the balls! Good for Max. That's plus point in my book! I'm not sure who I'll end up voting for - I might vote strategically (Scheer) since there's no hope of Bernier ever winning. But, I might just vote for Bernier out of principle. I don't know.1 point

Correct....I enjoy mocking those who cry for more "unity" when there is none to be found. So please tell Americans more about unity from Canada !1 point

Still, what do you think of the Muslims I don't like? We all agree about the Muslim's I don't dislike. When I read your comments I think how they would affect Muslim people in my community. In our schools, all children are taught and practice acceptance and respect regardless of differences. You don't show the respect that our school children do. Muslims in Canada have a right to live in peace without being dehumanized by people smearing them because of their religion or their clothing. You're not doing a very good job of distinguishing between people and their religion. I won't discuss their religion because I have no interest in any religions. But people must be able to practice their religion freely in Canada within the law, and without people smearing all of them - inciting hatred against them - because of their religion. Your initial comments dehumanized all Muslims because of the actions of some extremists. That's not acceptable. Words are important. Choose them carefully.1 point

What part of "live within the laws of Canada" is hard for you to understand? "Death penalty for blasphemy" would be breaking the law of the land, and so of course - no matter how much a Muslim might hate blasphemers, I would expect them to go to jail for killing someone for that. Generally speaking, religious belief isn't something I'm particularly impressed with - whether a Muslim's notion that blasphemers should be killed, or a Christian's notion that the death penalty for women who have abortions is a good idea. Religious people are all too willing to judge and condemn others; as long as that judgement and condemnation remains in their head, I don't care. If it's a crime, it should be punished. Doesn't matter if it's some redneck pulling the hijab off a Muslim woman, or a Muslim teen spray-painting anti-Jew graffiti on a synagogue. As for "punishment for blasphemy", it's not so uncommon among "Christian" countries, either. Among those that have legal sanctions for blasphemy are the Philippines, South Africa and Russia. Poland has legal sanctions against offending the religious feelings by publicly insulting a religious object or place, though they don't refer to it as anti-blasphemy laws. In 2014, the Netherlands abolished their blasphemy laws - which the Christian political party objected to as a 'painful loss of moral character and a symptom of a spiritual crisis". (I personally prefer Romania's law which says that " "cults, religious associations and religious groups ... must not infringe upon ... fundamental human rights and liberties".) I don't care if people criticize religion or insult God. I care when people engender hate, fear or dehumanize others. I can criticize the leaders of Islam for saying that it's "required" that women cover, when it can clearly be argued that it's not a requirement. But if I criticize the *women* who do cover as being either 1. extremist; 2. oppressed; or 3. "insulting Canadians", then I've crossed the line from criticizing the religion to dehumanizing someone by not allowing them agency - by limiting her motivations to what I think they are. If I then decide that based on the three motivations I've allowed her that I should have the right to dictate what she wears, then I've gone from simply being hateful to being oppressive. And, for the more extreme among us, it becomes acceptable to assault a woman, verbally or physically, because we disapprove of what she's wearing. I could ask you the same - do you support the right of people like me to find fault with the ones who are at fault?1 point

Most of Canada's diverse groups have fled war, conflict, dictators, etc, they or for the most part have no taste in joining a military which they see as un trust worthy do to past encounters in their home countries...And I agree we should have more diversity, but not at the expense of standards....Can't make the standard then do something else in life.... Like Argus has said in times of conflict the military is not a democracy, when your sgt yells at you and orders you to charge that machine gun nest, and you know there is a very good chance your going to die....they are not going to break out the tea set and brew up a pot of tea....and discuss it....you charge and take your chances and if you don't then you've let your brothers in amrs down, and when they return back to the rear, you'll be gone, charged , and placed in jail....refusal of a direct order, in war time, under combat conditions use to carry the death penalty which was only rescinded within the early 90's. back in the day the sgt would just put a bullet in your head, then yell next......The only one making decisions is the senior rank on the ground.... The military has developed drills for most situations...there is not much time to sit down and discuss a course of action, everyone already knows what to do, or it has been discussed before hand in your briefing.....1 point

What a load of crap....The CF had changed their recruiting practices in the 90's to accommodate women, and specific groups like natives, Inuit etc etc.......Before that the hiring process was based on several areas, physical fit, no medical issues, such as a glass eye, having all your limbs, being able to walk and talk …..being mentally fit, they bring each recruit to their mental breaking point, thoise that failed , were sent home.....except today, today numbers are all that count.....Standards have been lowered both mentally and physically...Not sure what the hell being a white man had to do with it, unless your saying men of color or for that matter any race or creed, religion or what ever..... can not meet these standards or perform at levels that were chosen for white men, because thats bull shit....The standards were written based on hundreds of years of experience on what it takes to be physical fit and mentally toughen to be able to do those jobs in the military....it was politicians who thought this affirmative action/ human rights could translate into the military....or for that matter being a policemen, fire fighter, EMT tech....And they are wrong....They are not doing these 350 lb soldiers any favors by twisting the physical requirements, to make up numbers....what they are doing is putting more lives in danger, it takes more soldiers to carry a 350 lb er off the battle field, or command makes the decision to leave him behind....there's a moral booster for sure...trying tell johnnies mom he died because he was to fat and we could not lift him to safety.... \ Affirmative action ,basic human rights suck in this case...lets put this into perspective, todays standards are constantly changing, but to become a basic recruit a member only has to do 3 push ups, once in boot camp, they must pass the force test, which anyone with any very little physical means could pass...and the mental aspects has been toned done so much, that we have members getting PTSD in training....Not saying there are NO good soldiers entering the CF because that is not true....But I can tell you there are a shit ton of poor soldiers getting through training these days... Todays women who have worked hard to meet these standards are tough as nails....I've meet a lot of women in the infantry/ other combat arms and most of them can soldier with the best of them....I would go to war with any of them any day.....even they have realized lower standards do not do anyone any favors....picking recruits should be a military function...not a political one...and you can disagree, but then again your not going to be out there doing the job are you....this is so you can feel good about not having to meet white men standards....and point to your color graph that see how diverse we are.....1 point

You don't sound very confident in your candidate, even though the latest polls put him ahead by more than 5 % points...and would you bet your life that Andrew is going to keep ALL his campaign promises, since we are both adults here, which PM has kept ALL their promises...I mean we are talking about Canadian politics here, where they can lie , cheat , do what ever it takes to stay in power with no accounting for any of it even the citizens don't really give a shit they can't remember all the scandals come voting time any way..... Yes now your starting to sound like a liberal, if we talk about conservatives , we must bring in the fact we are all racists, white nationalist, with huge swastikas carved into our chests in some satanic ceremony, in which we roast over an open pit immigrants and Frenchmen and I'm hoping one day liberals ..... Here's the thing I've been voting Conservative pretty much my entire life, until this election, I don't like their direction, nor do I like where Andrews is taking them, they are more liberal than conservative.....I want a change, they have disappointed me for the last time...That is my right given to me under the constitution...As for drawing votes away from the Cons, yes that is going to happen , as well from the liberals, and other parties that are tired as I am of all the same shit , just wrapped in a different box.... Would it bother me if the cons lost a seat, to the lib tards , no it would not, and if Justin gets another term as PM , thats because the liberals are not done with destroying the nation, and they have retained the popular vote, thats how democracy works , I don't have to like it , but thats how this whole voting thing works.........not because I voted for Max....but because Andrew did not do his job very well...If your that concerned about the cons winning get out there and start canvassing for Andrew....1 point

I agree. There is an international push back against globalization at the core of all of it. Globalization has sacrificed the working class of the Western World, and concentrated wealth in the hands of Neo-Liberal Mercantilists. This is push back from the working class.1 point

Trump is doing an awesome job down south. -the economy is still raging, -there aren't race riots all across the country like there were in 2015 and the first part of 2016, -the US hasn't gotten involved in any new wars, -major islamic terrorist attacks are happening less frequently down there (and more frequently under Trudeau than they were under Harper - it seems as though islamic terrorists attack more frequently when the gov't is tolerant of terrorism), -islamic state isn't the size of an average country anymore, -the government isn't spying on the opposition in the States now, or weaponizing the IRS, and -the American government is putting Americans first, unlike in Canada where the government seems to have unlimited resources for foreigners, and they also give foreigners more access inside our country than our own domestic goods get. 10/10! Trump's detractors are sifting through the garbage for rumors about him, that's all they've got. It's a sad day for the Dems, but they have it coming to them. They're just a pathetic bunch of losers with a long track record of being on the wrong side of hostory.1 point

Yes. Trump in the first president in history to be the laughing stock of the entire world. The first president in history to publicly be exposed as a serial sexual assaulter. The first president in history a Courtesan has exposed as "the worst lay she ever had" with a tiny, deformed penis. So much to be proud of. So much to delete from the official record.1 point

The Conservative party has plenty of good members, thats not the problem, the problem is the direction they are going, and how they get there....there are lots of things I see in their platform that I like, but what is missing, everything that is not popular with certain groups of lobbies, things that do not make sense, or would benefit the country as a whole, and not a select few.......like dairy, corporate welfare, handing out billions to foreign countries, adjusting the provinces welfare checks... the list go's on....And the man that controls that direction is Andrew.....And it is to liberal for me... Their are plenty of good people in the conservative party.... Selfish how, selfish as in all those that are going to vote liberal, green ,NDP ,MAX are selfish, The cons are losing thousands of votes to other parties, because of what little we know of Andrews direction, what little we know of Andrew period...Has he explained in detail any of his platform....yes he is going to reverse dozens of liberals proposals and policies...but then again so is everyone else.... Telling me that splitting the vote is selfish , equates to this....that you have no confidence in your party, your afraid that he is not popular enough to win a majority, your afraid that Justin may stay another term...if your that unsure then it's not to late to vote for max....don't be so selfish.... I'm voting for max , because I see him as the best candidate, I thought that was what democracy was all about....maybe I'm wrong...but i'm not alone, about 3 months ago they were polling about 2.5 or 3 % national, and climbing every day....with Justins numbers falling faster that grannies boobs. Now is MAX going to be the next PM , that would take a miracle, and it has happened before....but unlikely , . but does not change my mind that he is the best man for the job...1 point

Nobody is asking you to, I was defending my right to vote for any candidate I like, ....I'm the one voting for Max...it is my vote to waste or use as I may. at the end of the of the night we will find out who's candidate wins and who's loses...and at the end of the their term we will find out if we made the right chioce or we got another Justin.....I don't see things changing much with Andrew....1 point
-
Is that what you call it, and here I thought we could vote for anyone on the ballet, guaranteed by our constitution..... and yet for some reason you and many other conservatives think it's stupid or a dick move to vote for anyone other than Andrew....Are you Afraid that Andrew may not be the man you think he is , and will not garner enough votes to defeat Justin and thats got you scared..........If that is your way of think YOU might want to rethink voting for Andrew, because I know a shit tonne of people who are tired of both liberals and conservatives or should I say liberal lites and almost liberal conservative party... Both are one in the same Andrew may win out on personality, but they both have similar ways of governing Canada. It's time for a change and if you can't jump on board that train, fine stay on the lemming train of the same channel, same shit....Because you've always voted Conservative, or your hoping that this time, everything will be different ...if you ask me that is the definition of stupidity trying the same solution over and over hoping for different results.... I really don't care about uniting the conservative front.....or let me rephrase that, what you think is the conservative front....Andrews conservatives are more liberal than they are conservatives....and if your scared of the results , then you should be out there campaigning for Andrew to ensures he wins.....I'm going to vote for MAX, and I hope many more do as well, and if that means Justin wins another term or Andrew gets a minority, thats politics and the will of the Canadian people...1 point

Seems the French DO know something. They know they don't want an influx of Trudeau's fake refugees. They know they want to protect their culture, which is the Canadian culture. From what I understand, this is something Bernier also stands for. You won't hear that from Andrew Scheer. So what choice do you leave us, if NOT Trudeau, NOT Andrew Scheer, and evidently NOT Bernier? You must be kidding.1 point

In British Columbia conservatives call themselves Liberals...they called themselves Socreds before that. It's downright Orwellian.1 point

I doubt anything like that would ever happen. It would be considered a terrorist act and the Federal government would send the military into Alberta, just like they sent it into Quebec for the FLQ crisis in 1970. It would give Trudeau the chance to declare the War Measure Act as his father did and make a legacy for himself.1 point

Mhmm ... and a kernel of truth: Bernier won't be able to unite all the bigots across the country to vote for him because bigots won't vote for a francophone.0 points
