  1. Nope...did not. You're misquoting at best...lying at worst. You're free to pretend that I'm the problem rather than your global death cult of Islam which you defend against all critics.

  2. Maybe if Acosta followed the press rules he wouldn't be in so much trouble. Acosta is more like a belligerent activist than an objective reporter.

  3. Now Canadian media is worrying about the impact of the new Congress in January that will have a Democrat controlled House....namely the impact on USMCA trade deal ratification. It never seems to end....constant vigilance for what those damn Americans are doing next. Others wish that Canada would return to its historical position as an American afterthought.

  4. So now that all the mid-term election dust has settled, it is clear that the much feared "blue wave" was more like a typical mid-term election ripple. If losing 35 seats in the House means "repudiation" of Trump, what did Obama losing 63 House seats in 2010 mean ? Plus Obama loss Senate seats while Trump has picked up two. Unfortunately for Trump haters, his presidency has been normalized by this election based on U.S. historical standards. I just hope that Trump keeps the fun going....never get boring. He's a party animal !

  6. I doubt that he cares at all. He and his ministers seemed mystified as to why many Canadians were upset about the situation just as they were adamant about the legitimacy of their notion of justice in the Khadr case. The federal Libs seem to be directed by a moral compass that's out of sync with mainstream Canada's. But, then again, Trudeau believes there is no mainstream in Canada. Let's hope that in 2019 voters remind him there is.

  7. Not sure if I'm getting your drift.....but I'll try: Dog's position is that violence is inherent in Islam - through its holy book and through its history and through the way the majority of the world's Muslims behave. In no way has he ever said that ALL Muslims are violent. His stand is that there is more violence in Islam than normal because of the verses explicit in the book, the history of the religion and its effects on its adherents in general. Dia diagrees - to her, the book is just being wrongly interpreted and only by a tiny, almost miniscule, "You're an Islamophobe if you have any concern about Islamic terrorism" portion of Muslims. To her the religion is a beautiful record of peace and love and anyone who doesn't believe that is morally bankrupt, in her opinion. So in order to disagree with Dog, she must re-word everything he says by following him around the board and making sure that everyone sees HER interpretation of what he's posted, in the hopes that others will eventually only see HER interpretation and not what he's actually said. Mudballs. If you throw enough of them, eventually something sticks. She will be so happy that you have accepted her interpretation of what Dog posts, picked up that mudball she created and thrown it at the target she has chosen for you.

  8. The pathetic roll out of this in Ontario only proves that the black market will be still very viable going forward. Perhaps in April when people can actually go to a storefront, it will change. But no one's waiting 3 weeks for their MJ.

  9. Is compassionate conservatism even possible in a political system that's so beholden to special (i.e. moneyed) interests? For instance, I certainly don't believe the government monopoly health care model, as we have in Canada, is a good alternative, but the current U.S. model clearly doesn't work well for a large and vulnerable segment of the population. Obama's original reform proposal, which included a "public option" insurance alternative, would have served that segment much better than does the private insurance model. But it was blocked by the GOP and if the current iteration of the party has its way it will never see the light of day. Why? Because powerful economic interests in the U.S. will ensure that it doesn't. Does anybody realistically believe this will change?

  10. You're not the boss of me and you're not this forum's police, who gets to tell others when and what they post. It's a discussion forum, everyone is allowed to post their thoughts and I am not obligated to you to attack the posters you want me to, nor am I obligated to respond to every post I don't completely agree with. I am not going to re-write people's posts just to find something nit-picky to argue about like you do.

  14. He gave a generic answer, not the specific condemnation which was appropriate. Do you get it? If Donald Trump commits genocide somewhere and you say "What do you think about that?" and I say "Genocide is bad and abhor all acts of genocide" but I refuse to say that Trump is a bad person, or that he committed a horrible act which cannot be forgiven, do you now understand why my comments would fall short of the mark? Would you not be expecting an answer more along the lines of "He's a war criminal and he should be treated as such?" When that girl came out with the hijab hoax Trudeau didn't give a generic answer about how bad both sides are. He specifically commented on that incident and generally commented on how bad Canadians are, and how there are too many attacks against young girls of race (as if that's a real thing). Then when it all came out that it was a hoax he didn't shame anyone, he didn't apologize, he just doubled down. So you see that Trudeau does speak specifically to some incidents, just not the ones that are actually really bad and show true forethought and malice.

  20. Take a look at the electoral map and you'll see the Great Divide with 75% or more of the American landscape painted Red. The cities are home to an increasingly entitled population that is largely disconnected from the historic values of personal responsibility, hard work, family, faith, and community. The Hollywood influence is not the best foundation for Democratic party principles and morals. Add to that their internal struggles to harness a radical Left and the continued lack of leadership under the age of 75. All that said, the right path for America is always compassionate Conservatism - something Republicans must aspire to.

  21. Exactly. I guess Trump was right about Sh*t hole countries. They actually do exist, and it's not racist to acknowledge reality.

  23. I suspect this is exactly what Trump wanted. He did nothing to help the GOP retain the House. He needs an enemy to justify his absolute lack of movement on anything legislatively except a tax cut for billionaires. BUT now we get to see the House ask for things they didn't under the GOP and that may prove to be embarrassing. Revenge for Bengazi.
