The titles were all of foreign studies not applicable to Canada. I didn't say they were. The majority are 'family class' who are people sponsored by people here. About 10% are refugees who have become permanent residents. Of those who come in under the 'skilled' program, only about 25% are actually skilled. The rest are their immediate family members. No, they didn't. We were taking tons of Europeans right through the sixties.

Trudeau and his gang are pretty slippery - oily actually. Although they have promised (well, sort of - after all, it's a Liberal promise!) to return 90% of the revenue while the tax is $10 a ton. How about when it goes to $20 - or $50 - or as the eco-nuts would like - hundreds of dollars. Will all that go back to Canadians? Of course not - they've already said they are trying to change peoples' attitudes. Like Rogers, Bell and Cogeco - it's just a promotional program so they can sucker you in for a long term tax grab.

The Libs are being disingenuous when promising to return to taxpayers in the affected provinces the carbon taxes they will pay directly. Substantially more will be paid indirectly in the form of carbon taxes paid by service providers and businesses that are passed on to consumers in the form of higher prices that will not be recouped by taxpayers. Rather, the Trudeau scheme will primarily operate as a tax and redistribute enterprise, giving the current governing party the opportunity to engage in the kind of social engineering and vote buying machinations it prefers. The entrenched subsidy class will no doubt benefit while middle class taxpayers will very likely end up paying the freight in terms of reduced living standards, as usual. The promised rebate cheques are a shiny distraction intended to get Trudeau through next year's election. As for the revenue neutrality, there was a good article in yesterday's Financial Post (link below) about how Trudeau's scheme varies significantly from the approach favoured by economists that achieves revenue neutrality by reducing damaging forms of taxation that stifle productivity and competitiveness. But why try to be constructive when you can play political Santa Claus? More importantly, the USA is not a post-national state led by a putz with a progressive, "feminist agenda". Far from "sinking", the USA's economy is breaking records for growth and employment for over a generation. But all is not lost for the leftists in the USA and the like minded sycophants watching breathlessly in Canada....there is another election in just one month !

The US dollar had lost a lot value over the past 40 years. The endless printing of money from the non-government private entity called The Federal Reserve tied in with zero interest rate. Meaning the nation has borrowed so much money it means the USA will ever get out of dept.

But the Russians have fomented revolution and civil disruption around the world for decades. It is doing it now in western countries which everyone knows about, and in many third world countries, which is being overlooked.

I have an ethical solution to overpopulation. Instead of sponsor a child, it's called "sponsor a vasectomy". The most racist thing we can do to the third world, is ignore it, and let them breed at unsustainable levels, while the globalist continue to exploit their endless supply of cheap labor. If $100 could pay for 50 vasectomies, i'd give that money in a heartbeat. As third world populations start to stabilize, wages would start to go up, and their quality of life, and environment would improve. I'd only have one condition, the vasectomy can only be performed after a fathers second child. We have to respect the dignity of a normal family size. I think that's an ethical compromise, that still encourages parenthood, at a reasonable level. I would also refuse to pay a carbon tax to environmental scammers, until the agree to use that money to pay for ethical solutions to fight overpopulation. We shouldn't tolerate the hypocrisy. Take this conversation to other forums. And sell the concept of "Ethical Depopulation" as a solution to the environment, climate change, and quality of life, for the world's citizens. Let's lobby for wide-scale vasectomies programs to be paid for by governments, and charities. Start a research pool, and get documentaries made. Demand that media cover this issue. Overpopulation is the number one cause of climate change, but their are ethical ways to slow it down. Do not compromise on political correctness, but be as ethical as possible.
