Sort of like in Muslim countries where everyone brings their kids out to watch the big beheading! It's so exciting, most of them video it on their phones for later viewing. No, thanks.3 points

Indians, apparently. Followed by Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iran. No doubt this will be a shock to the left, which would probably put the list as something like this: United States United Kingdom Canada Australia France But it turns out western countries are a lot less racist than most of the third world, particularly than most of the Muslim world. The daily Mail even has it laid out in a map, showing where racism is strongest and weakest. It's weakest in the United States, Canada, and most European and South American countries. Strongest in Africa and the Muslim world. What a shocker, eh, lefties! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2325502/Map-shows-worlds-racist-countries-answers-surprise-you.html2 points

So you're a paragon of virtue as far as political posturing goes, have I got that right - or left? But... but... when dre talks with great delight about having all the conservatives violently KILLED and how he'd eat popcorn and laugh, that's not something which calls for any sort of protest on your part, right? The truth is you're as much an ideological zealot of the far Left as he is.2 points

These Imam's will continue to preach their hate until someone steps up and decides to bring charges, but they will not do that regardless of the evidence presented......because this is Canada and we do not want to seem like we are racist or even bais again'st Islam.......Muslims preach they are being targeted by Canadians in a racist manner....they demand that Islam is a religion of peace , they demand that the majority of muslims are peaceful , moderate,......where are these moderates when Imams in Canada are preaching islam death to jews and others, WHO is attending these pray meetings, Muslims are.............where are the moderates when their religion is being perverted for other reasons by other muslims.....I'll tell you where they are ....no where, they are not seen or heard, or listened to.......in fact they don't even make a difference.....they never have.....It is time to draw a line in the sand.....either it is alright to preach hate and demand death to everyone we dislike.......or it is not and someone steps up and enforces the law....until then the sensitive muslims out there should hold on it's going to be a rough ride, ...........or perhaps we could set the example and put these Imam's on a plane back to their own countries where they can preach hatred freely, when ever they want, lets ship back all that attend their sermons as well......2 points

I am not being mislead ....are you saying Turkish military have not engaged ISIS or other muslim in this conflict, I have video of turkish tanks being blown up by isis fighters....Ohh i get it ISIS is not muslim according to you.....well they say they are.... right now there is 136 conflicts around the world right now, the US is involved in some of them.....not just in the middle east....last time i checked your country has suffered from a coup, plus their has been terrorist attacks by the kurds.....or is this all false news as well..... A muslim union will not happen, to much in fighting among'st themselves......Turkey is better off with NATO....you guys can not help your own countries let alone band together and help each other......that being said i wish you would band together and start to control the fringe or extremist muslims.2 points

Complete nonsense of course.... al-Qaeda attacks were very much heard of prior to 9/11/2001: 1992 - Yemen Hotel bombings 1993 - WTC truck bomb (New York) 1998 - U.S. embassy bombings (Kenya, Tanzania) 2000 - U.S. warship bombing(s)2 points

There is no such effort. It's a figment of your imagination. In fact, the extreme right is more likely to side with Muslims simply because, like them, the Muslim world hates Jews too.1 point

Sorry but you're just spouting made up none sense. I've done a search and didn't come up with anything on child brides/forced marriages in Canada except among immigrants, including those from Turkey. There are a few among Christian immigrants though, however these are in the minority and Canada is actively working to eliminate this practice. The following article looks at this specific subject and gives an idea about the numbers. I'm sure there are more cases that aren't known about. As you can see this is not a problem that is native to Canada but rather imported from other places. Interestingly the majority of cases are among Muslims. If you wish to answer please do so with credible information, or remove yourself from the forum forever. Thank you. https://www.thestar.com/news/investigations/2013/09/20/forced_marriages_a_hidden_problem_in_canada.html1 point

You are making 2 fundamental mistakes: 1) You are incorrectly assuming that these laws (e.g. against stealing, killing, etc.) are rooted in Judeo-christian values. Restrictions on activities like those are actually common in many cultures, and many of the other things you mentioned (e.g. freedom of speech, fair trial, etc.) come not from Judeo-Christian values but from more secular activites (such as the Magnacarta, which more of a political document than a religious one.. 2) You are ignoring all of the restrictions that supposedly exist in the Judeo-christian culture (e.g. thou shalt not commit adultary) that are NOT part of our legal system Ultimately, I think your biggest mistake is that you are assuming all of western culture is "Judeo-Christian" without actually defining what that term actually means. Just because some of our ancestors may have lived in a part of the world controlled by the catholic church does not mean all elements of our law and culture are traced back to biblical ideals.1 point

Whom are you kidding? They didn't table a motion - wasting taxpayers money - for nothing. That's the problem with a lot of people - everything is fine and dandy until something actually happens. They've seemed to have lost the ability to see how things can go - before they actually do. I don't know why this current mindset is onto "prevention"....when they don't have an inkling of what important factor is needed to do an effective preventative measure. Anyway, i gave it as an example of what can be manipulated.1 point

I don't know what the U.S. has. but you are correct in saying freedom of speech in Canada is not unlimited. You don't have it in a situation which is likely to cause a riot or libel or slander an individual. But there is nothing in the law about fair criticism of an ideology or religion.1 point
-
Not reasonable at all. All hate speech should be legal and a society that bans 'hate speech' is a society that does not have freedom of speech.1 point
-
No it doesn't. It pretends to. But section 2 is limited by section 1 and as a result we do not have true freedom of expression in Canada like the fortunate citizens of the USA have.1 point

Please back to the main topic subject. Its about ripping a religious book and its effects. According to Canada Laws, its a crime. Because ripping a religious book is just an act of hatred and suppressed violence. According to Canada Criminal Codes; Public incitement of hatred 319 (1) Every one who, by communicating statements in any public place, incites hatred against any identifiable group where such incitement is likely to lead to a breach of the peace is guilty of (a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or (b) an offence punishable on summary conviction. http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-46/page-72.html#h-931 point

You are looking at the events superficial and this is misleading you. You need to learn to ask true questions. Below a few examples for true questions; Why there is no conflicts between Muslims in Turkiye, in Saudi, in Qatar, in Iran ? (Despite these countries are not real Muslim countries for me, I am ust talking according to your mind.) Why all the conflics happen in Western involved and destabilized "Muslim" countries ? Why noone is blowing up a market place in my country ? Did you read the memories of ex British intelligence guys ? They admits how they are making people enemies to each other. Do you remember the British soldiers caught in Iraq with Muslim style dresses and bombs in their bags ? Now Muslim countries are trying to create a Muslim Union in the lead of Turkiye and Western countries are getting mad at it. Because their chance to involve in Muslim countries jobs is being put at risk. Muslim Turkish Army is one of the a few armies in the World has the highest level of morality. Our army will never bomb somewhere randomly. Again you are blaming others to justify your own crimes.1 point

I think the bigger questions are... why did they stop him, and why did Comey actually volunteer to do so after so effectively torpedoing Clinton's campaign.1 point

According to Canada Criminal Codes; 319 (1) Every one who, by communicating statements in any public place, incites hatred against any identifiable group where such incitement is likely to lead to a breach of the peace is guilty of So according to the law above, someone is not allowed to incite hatred against Islam, such as ripping Quran.1 point

They are inextricably intertwined. Is your cause to help Muslims/the "ignorant", "backwards" Middle Easteners? How does murdering 4 million of them help anyone, most of all them? How does murdering 4 million on a big lie help anyone. To my way of thinking, it makes us grand hypocrites, AND to be frank, much worse.1 point
-
This is all well and good, Goddess, having rational discussions about helping women around the world, doing good works, being christian, ... . But it doesn't address the 4 million Muslims murdered since 1990. It is, let me suggest, an attempt to put a window dressing/a grand facade on a drug joint or a whore house. I haven't heard you call out any of the racist Islamaphobes that post here, so frequently and so virulently. I haven't heard you say, "Well, you know if a highly respected, top US forensic engineer on building/bridge/steel structures failures says, CATEGORICALLY, that WTC7 did not come down as per the official US government story, perhaps we should give this another look. That's what we open and honest westerners do."1 point

And a terrible propagandist to boot. "Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?" -Joseph N Welch [castigating the immoral Senator Joe McCarthy]1 point

That's not true at all, and sadly you know this, DoP. It's racism when it is used as you use it; to disparage, to mock, to ridicule, to encourage deep resentment against a specific group. Anyone with a scintilla of common sense should see through your shtick in an instant, for all these things you do are done so poorly and in such an openly and overt racist fashion.1 point

It appears there is a case of selective blindness at work here, maybe more than one. So Canada is backwards because of our legal provisions governing marriage, but Turkey is highly advanced. Far more so than Canada. So, how would the poster rationalize this? I'd say it's a stereotypical case of Sharia and Islam in general at work but I'm sure our illustrious poster will attempt to minimize or justify it, whilst simultaneously preaching about the backwards evils of Canada and the west in general.1 point

I tried to find a story about that but was unsuccessful. Can you provide a cite? Thanks.1 point

" What you and Altai and Kactus and Hot Enough have done is to argue that since you feel the US or the UK or the West is evil, terrorism is justified. Its there for all to see. You apologize for and defend terrorism." No, we are arguing that the term terrorism ought to be a neutral term used to describe FACTS. If a muslim bombing civilians in a tower is terrorism, then a government bombing a funeral of civilians in iraq or afghanistan is terrorism. If targetting an area with bombs and missiles and weapons, knowing civilians are in the area and likely to be struck is not terrorism when USA, Canada, and any other government does it, don't call it terrorism when ISIS, Al Qaeda, or anyone else you don't like does it. Terrorism is an act. I am simply calling for acts to be described within a standard. I have no horse in this race. If it is not terrorism to shoot up a house full of people in pakistan and shoot your way through the neighborhood because OBL is there, then its not terrorism when ISIS agents run over people on their way to kill parliamentarians in Britain. This is just warfare. The islamic armies don't have the technology or ability to attack western nations with conventional means, so they are using asymmetrical warfare. This goes back to Sun Tsu who said to attack your enemy in war where they are weak. Western nations weakness are our open borders and letting in people from countries who hate our guts, and radical islamic groups don't make technology, so they fight back by running us over and attack us where they can. It is a war, sometimes you get hit, sometimes you hit back, there is no terrorism here.1 point

Two hundred killed by whom? A not-so-smart smart bomb? Probably dropped by a poorly trained "Coalition Member" rather than the USA...but let's blame the USA. Well...200 is a lot. Making bomb shelters for civilians isn't a high priority for ISIS. Using them as human shields, however, is...apparently. You must be livid that the civilian death toll via means other than the USA has surpassed 400,000. As for alter-egos...I suppose you're forced to depict me as various negative things as I'd vanquish you in any honest debate about Islam.1 point

I believe I said that I did not think that this could ever become a law in Canada.. But here in Canada, one never knows, especially with the liberals in power. We already have hate laws that say that I cannot express an opinion against an individual or an identifiable group if it appears as though it is deemed to be promoting hatred or violence towards anyone or any group. This Motion 103 can be placed in that catagory easy enough by me just questioning or challenging in any way Islam. I don't think that I am being hysterical about anything. Using the word "hysteria" is going a little over board here. And why was this motion even passed here in Canada anyway? Why did the Greens, NDP or the liberals vote in favor for such a draconian motion? Why would an immigrant to Canada, because that is what she is, come to a country that believes in freedom of speech, and then pretty much demand that Motion 103 be adopted. Did someone not tell her that here in Canada, or so we are told, that freedom of expression is a basic right according to the COR. I don't think that you should be attacking me but instead you should be attacking the MP that brought this motion forward. She is the enemy here, not me. I am of the opinion that most Canadians are their own worse enemy. They like to attack anyone who stands up for Canada, and it's values and ways of life, and freedom of expression, rather than attack the people who want to take those values and free speech away from them. Incredible indeed.1 point

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I feel the same as you with the exception that I don't think that discussing what's going on in Islam right now means that we are all completely unaware or agree with things the West has done. I just feel it should be discussed as its own topic and not used to distract from or justify Islamic terrorism, which is what H. E. does. He's been invited quite a few times to start a topic on it, but chooses instead to keep popping it into unrelated discussions like some kind of rabid whack-a-mole. I hope this makes sense, as I apparently have a very poor grasp of the English language.1 point
