  2. If you stick with your meds, the voices in your head will hopefully quiet down.
  3. Thousands? I reckon billions of years. Molecules changed. Die and replicate - differently. Life existed. At first, life had one side/stream. Then, a billion years later, our genes mutated to two different streams. ==== Some species have a single sex/gender. Most successful species have a female/male dichotomy. To my knowledge, no species has a three genders/sexes.
  4. You think you're an influencer? Lol...sure of @robosmith and @BeaverFever maybe... As to your sentiments concerning political parties...good luck with that. I'm not sure what went on with that bridge...and hardly care. I understand its open now. If you've been paying attention, you know I dont support stupidity from any politician. Oh I have a preference. But I do not just blindly acquiesce to things that reek of stupid. That's what morality, honor and respect are all about. You should try it. You'll feel better.
  5. You make it sound like a fundamental law of physics...get a grip. Believing that is to believe some 8 million scientists are in on it. Or do you subscribe to the theory it's just a handful of psy-op dudes like the COVID authoritarianism people do?
  6. Huh...then how does this happen if its all so innocent? "USA v. Householder et al.: In July 2020, then-Ohio Speaker of the House Larry Householder, along with several associates and Generation Now, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, were indicted in a federal racketeering conspiracy involving approximately $60 million paid to Generation Now by electric utility FirstEnergy to pass and uphold a billion-dollar nuclear plant bailout. The Justice Department alleged that Householder and his allies conspired to violate the racketeering statute through honest services wire fraud, receipt of millions of dollars in bribes and money laundering. According to prosecutors, one of the purposes of the corrupt scheme was “obtaining, preserving, and expanding Householder’s political power in the State of Ohio through the receipt and use of secret payments.” One of the uses of those secret payments was to fund a super PAC through Generation Now that paid for advertisements benefiting Householder and his allied candidates ahead of Ohio’s primary elections in 2018, which helped set the stage for Householder to be elected speaker in January 2019. In July 2021, FirstEnergy agreed to pay a $230 million monetary penalty as part of a deferred prosecution agreement that also required the release of a statement calling the use of section 501(c)(4) nonprofits, which don’t have to disclose their donors, “central” to its influence effort because they allowed the company to “conceal payments for the benefit of public officials and in return for official action.” Following guilty pleas by two co-conspirators who agreed to testify in the case, Householder and former Ohio Republican Party chairman Matt Borges were found guilty in March 2023 by a jury of participating in a racketeering conspiracy" There's several more examples at https://www.citizensforethics.org/reports-investigations/crew-investigations/these-criminal-prosecutions-show-what-citizens-united-got-wrong-about-corruption/ Check it out.
  7. Nope. A citizen's assembler. Nope. I've said several times now around here that political parties should be given no more standing in Parliament than the Kiwanis Club. No, but since you bring him up...I think people need to get a little deranged at the spectacle of a billionaire holding up the opening of the Gordie Howe Bridge for another billionaire for a million dollars. Naturally you support this right? In a pigs eye you do... I'd have to be a loon to believe it.
  8. This is disturbing... Isreal is fixin' to go to war with Turkey now? Does Israel really need to set the entire middle east on fire?
  9. Consensus and science are polar opposites. All you have there is a consensus of making sure of their next grant.
  10. I don't like them either. And your conclusions about what I like or don't like are strictly your own ridiculous knee jerk responses to your conditioning against lefties. In the meantime... There is overwhelming, heavily documented evidence that a massive scientific consensus exists regarding Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). Here are 5 sites documenting this consensus. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. The reason the consensus is so ironclad is that it is built on independent, overlapping lines of empirical evidence: Isotopic Carbon Footprint: Carbon-12 levels are rising faster than Carbon-13 in the atmosphere. Burning fossil fuels produces Carbon-12, altering this specific atomic ratio. Atmospheric Outgoing Radiation: Satellite data shows less heat escaping into space at greenhouse gas wavelengths. Trapped infrared energy matches the exact absorption spectrum of human-produced CO₂. Troposphere vs. Stratosphere: The lower atmosphere (troposphere) is warming, while the upper atmosphere (stratosphere) is cooling. If solar activity caused global warming, both layers would warm simultaneously. https://science.nasa.gov/climate-change/evidence/ https://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/full/10.1093/reep/rew019 https://yaleclimateconnections.org/2020/03/causes-of-global-warming/ The science simply is what it is and doing it's job which is present the facts. The crisis is in denying science.
  11. The house isn't all that historic. And it's basically already been mostly gutted. It's not like the parliament buildings, where there are carvings everywhere. It's just an older house that's on the large side. Homes like this get renovated regularly for a fraction of the numbers talked about.
  12. So obvious you can't explain how they are bought off. If you stand on the street corner with a sign to support a cause or politician, are you buying them off? I already explained it to you... the concept works like this: If you and 1,000 of your buddies get together and form an organization that makes widgets, just because you are recognized as a corporation doesn't mean you no longer can buy ads to support laws and politicians you do, as opposed to if you had a widget club and made widgets not recognized as a corporation...
  13. Actually, it is now, or haven't you heard? Ellison appointed Bari Weiss to run it and things have gone downhill fast. -- Just a standard part of the MAGA playbook: appoint unqualified cronies who will sacrifice mission to serve ideology instead of serving the public. I'll grant you though, she's a lot closer to being qualified than Hegseth or Mcmahon. And yes, that is 100% an application, not a ballot. And no, literally no one said there is no election fraud. We've told you all along that voter impersonation fraud is vanishingly rare. And that remains true. You fools keep bringing up shit like this (real or otherwise) to justify voter suppression measures like voter ID, which can't address any of the types of election fraud that we actually should be vigilant against.
  14. Ok...explain it to me then. Because I see hundreds of millions being tossed around and its pretty damn obvious these politicians are being bought.
  15. Look at 1 Timothy 3:16 in the King James Version; then compare it with a modern versions. "“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” Notice it says God was manifest in the flesh in the KJV, obviously referring to Jesus Christ who came to earth and took on human flesh. This is a critical verse to prove to Jehovah's Witnesses that Jesus is God. But modern version took God out of that verse and replace the word with he. Well, a vast number of manuscripts use the word God and only a few of the corrupt manuscripts have the word he. There was no excuse to change it. This makes it far more difficult to convince a JW that Jesus is God. Another example is Acts 8:37. The KJV says "“And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” This is a critlcal verse because it tells what one must believe in order to be baptized. Modern versions leave this verse out.
  16. Probably not. I blame his upbringing.
  17. THEY personally do not. But to imagine the company has a collective personage is 1diotic.
  18. He can't because they don't exist. It was just another Libbie, trying desperately to save another of their failures from complete erasure. So he won't respond. Now...We dont know for sure if people like @eyeball knew they were peddling lies and fear. Or if they are just weak-minded and easily captured by lies and fear. The developments of the last several years have exposed climate fanatics in particular as either just mean spirited...or weak-minded. The intellectual left...pfft...
  19. How did Citizens United make it legal to outright buy politicians? Citizens United was a ruling about how just because people are part of a corporation, they do not lose their speech rights, including those to support policies, laws, and politicians they choose.
  20. Why isn't this a normal relationship? Well, if you don't think Democracy is good, I don't care to sit here explaining that concept to you. You are too far gone. It seems you hate free speech as much as you apparently do Democracy. Yes, people are free to speak and support the candidates they choose, to donate to causes to do the same. The point is that it is the people in America supporting these things. PAC's are not allowed to accept money from foriegn governments. When folks like you push this conspiratorial fear mongering bordering on anti-semitic tropes about how the Jews control things, or how Israel controls things... that simply is not based on the facts.
  21. Tone matters. With a tyrant like Xi it should be polite, certainly. But not friendly. Xi is not ‘one of us’, a major honcho in the organization. He’s running a rival outfit intent on stamping out liberty in the world whenever it can. That should always be reflected in their meetings.
  22. Today
  23. America can get those benefits from Israel in a normal relationship. It’s got most of the cards in this particular situation. And as for a democracy in the region, does that really matter? Clarity on the pro-Israel PACs in Dem primaries is frequently withheld - both at the donor level and the relationship with AIPAC - at least until after the election. The ads targeting critics of Israel often have nothing to do with Israel at all. In other words, the people running these campaigns are fully aware how unpopular Netanyahu is with Democratic primary voters. Of course, if they succeed they often start crowing about it then to intimidate other politicians. I don’t think that model will work on the Dem side any more.
