  2. https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletin Just to tie this to the system that governs the public sphere: The disapproval Gap has narrowed about 8% in recent weeks. Is he doing something right? If so, what? One hallmark of our current time is that publics react in much more unexpected ways than in the past. On Friday we had a market crash because of good news, as understand it. Science, economics, politics is, today, a giant Crown and Anchor wheel. Maybe the Enlightenment was actually just a trick for us to flatter ourselves into thinking we have more control than we actually have.
  3. Today
  4. https://climatecosmos.com/climate-news/why-more-top-scientists-now-question-climate-alarmism/ "In the last two years, there has been a remarkable change in the climate science landscape, with more leading researchers publicly questioning extreme climate forecasts. " Sorry Sweetie. Your fear-porn party is over.
  5. The people don't' seem to think so. They liked the park. And it's not a 'library' the way you mean it, it's a president's library. Which is essentially a museum. Barack Obama Presidential Library | Barack Obama Presidential Library Sooo .. not quite what you thought it was i think
  6. A monument to a communist pos who destroyed the US of A. Sad
  7. Did you get ^this from FOS LIES? LMAO The South side of Chicago is lucky to have a first class library no matter what it looks like. Who cares about the aesthetics of Obama's library? If he's happy with it, that's all that matters.
  8. B-52s? Two nuclear bombs in Japan? When the US federal government imposes a standard sales/consumption tax across all states, the world will respect America.
  9. There's more of them working in Tim Horton's for sure. It seems their culture doesn't make much effort to serve people lined up. I have noticed the way they run the local Tim Hortons doesn't seem to put the waiting customers first. Last time I was in there waiting for a cashier, there were several of them working in the kitchen and one near the cash register just ignored me. No cashier but lots of people working in there. I finally just turned around and walked out. McDonalds service is far better and a coffee is $1.05 versus Tim's $1.70. Another time I was in there, there were about half a dozen people lined up and the one cashier was taking the order and going to fill the order herself. They have two cash register tills but never open the second one. They just don't care if people have to wait 20 minutes to get something. The best service is the drive through. The drive through customers get speedy service. They can't be ignored like at the till.
  10. You make a valid point. Maybe. But this guy Carney is a supposed federal Liberal who wants to keep Canada together. ===== Carney's now doing deals with China, buying jets from Sweden. He should be getting along with Americans. In the Cold War, Trudeau Snr flew to Cuba. The Cold War ended in 1989.
  11. I don't think young women move to cities because of welfare, gender equality, childcare.....
  12. As to your point 3, I disagree. People in the country tend to be more co-operative. The NDP started in rural Saskasketchwan. Your point 4? I strongly disagree. Trust and co-operation have nothing to do with how closely people live together. Note: Hive? Bees and ants are rare among animals - about 10 or so among several million species: most of us have a 50/50 female/male divide. In the case of plants, trees etc - the answer is different.
  13. You're a FOOL to believe the pathological LIAR Trump. And you have NO EVIDENCE of voter fraud in CA.
  14. Anyone who's spent any time in a communist country can see the parallels between how Democrats and dictatorship regimes conduct themselves in elections.
  15. Just cause Trump tells you it's a scam does not make it true. You're a FOOL to believe the pathological LIAR Trump.
  16. Yes the riots are coming. Just in time for the mid-terms.
  17. We're approaching summer, when NOBODY pays attention to politics unless a serious situation arises. But then we're into the fall when people do pay attention, and whatever's happened with CUSMA will have happened. And people are really going to start to watch if the economy is still poor and they're still paying higher prices and crime is still an iissue etc etc And at that point it'll feel like an 'old' gov't, the 'i just got here' excuse will be done. And at that point i think we'll start to see some serious dipping in popularity and voter intentions.
  18. So what has changed in the last 10 years, that would force our nation to start taking our defense and defense commitments seriously... For now, Canada has a long history of being a defense lagard, and some how Carney comes along and poof spending on defense is now cool, cutting other social programs cool, you know what they say, if it is to good to be true it isn't... actually there is 18 globally, 8 of them are from western nations....all would give gripen a run for price, and performance... Funny you mention price, if that was truly a concern why even buy a second fighter....why just purchase more F-35's save on logistics tail, price, and compatibility with most of NATO...both European jets are more plentiful than gripen meaning more spares, and more R&D funding, more compatibility...meeting NORAD integration, is a BS answer, any aircraft could easily meet those standards...the real reason was Canada was looking for to much in offsets at the time....we got to greedy...the point was to buy a fighter not enrich liberal voters... Super hornet was the liberals pick until the mix up with Boeing and Canada's crown prince of planes....what has changed with the hornets...nothing which aircraft is better...is a matter of opinion....both are 4.5 gen with the F-18 coming out ahead in more categories than the gripen, the f-18 has a better price point , Canadian air men already familiar with type, the list goes on and on....the Gripen is a political buy, and no one knows why, our Air force has already spoken on the topic.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:4.5-generation_jet_fighters
  19. I strongly urge Albertans to vote in favour of independence. I favour provincial rights.
  20. Bread? Hunger? Europeans fought on religion 1600s. Then they fought on "nationality" late 1700s. Heck, IMHO, August 1914 was a collapse of civilization. ==== Identity? We Canadians seem to get along.
  21. By every account that I've heard: -Carney is an arrogant, Enron, smartest guy in the room. -the federal Liberals chose him because Trudeau Jnr was a loser
  22. Because a lot changes in 10 years. Bombing Germany in 1930was crazy talk. In 1940 it was a must-do. In 1950 it was crazy talk again. Well that’s changed now. There aren’t half a dozen alternatives realistically there was rafale and typhoon, both very expensive and likely limited economic benefits compared to gripen. IIRC they were disqualified or withdrew because they couldn’t meet NORAD integration requirements and typhoon didn’t like the industrial offsets requirement There was also the super-hornet was deemed leas advanced than gripen.
