You need to let people know what the real risks are and then why you feel it's worth it. You can ignore the rate of decline for each childhood disease prior to a vaccine being invented if you want, but let's suspend reality and assume User is right and the majority of decline is due to vaccines. The reality is that the rate of decline for the last 2-10% mortality, either was the same or slower after introduction of a vaccine. Vaccines did not make the rate decline faster. And in some cases, deaths increased after a vaccine was introduced. For some reason, User believes strongly that INCREASED deaths after a vaccine introduction, is evidence of a safe & effective vaccine. I'll let you all work through that one, mentally, on your own. Total deaths are still nowhere near millions. Not hundreds of thousands, not tens of thousands, not even high thousands. Even accounting for population increase, claiming that vaccines save millions of lives every year is an exaggeration and the data does not show that, because these diseases were rapidly declining BEFORE a vaccine. That claim is off. But a very large amount. For some diseases, deaths are so low that they are only estimated, making any claimed reduction for those ones, entirely speculative.
