Canada is warming faster than the rest of the world. Australia is warming faster than the rest of the world. Finland is warming faster than the rest of the world. Africa is warming faster than the rest of the world. New England is warming faster than the rest of the world. Israel is warming faster than the world. China is warming faster than the rest of the world. The South Pole is warming faster than the rest of the world. At some point, ordinary people ask a simple question: How can every region be warming faster than every other region? Yes, regions can warm at different rates. Yes, local climate dynamics matter. But when the media turns every regional study into the same fear headline, it stops looking like careful science communication and starts looking like narrative management. Trust is not destroyed by skepticism.

Yes, facing an ethics probe. Congratulations, you've worked yourself all the way up to the intelligence level of a parrot No because the ethics committee has determined that there is enough evidence to pursue the matter further. The committee does not begin investigations just because they were asked to, they receive a complaint and they determine whether or not there's enough viability to consider proceedin Yes you were, but we're pretty used to you being wrong

That's just a small part of the equation, eyeball. Even more important than that is figuring out who's worth listening to, and as a CBC cultist you're truly no better than a Nazi supporter at determining what you should and shouldn't "learn". Honestly. BS. You vote like a brainwashed tw4t. Willful ignorance is your middle name, dumbass. Iran and Hamas openly declare their intent to commit genocide against Israel, and you support them to that end, and what's your best reason why they should even do that, aside from willful ignorance? What did the Israelis do differently from the Pakistanis when they got their country partitioned for them? The Israelis killed 1/2,000th the number of people the Pakistanis killed. The Israelis displaced 1/10th the number of people the Pakistanis did. Who in the muslim world is saying that Pakistan has no right to exist, or that Sikhs and Hindus should have a right to return? Is Iran trying to commit genocide against Pakistan because of "1947 😩"? FYI the "nabka" was a drop in the bucket compared to what Pakistan did. It's like a mini-mini-mini-mini-mini nabka. Pakistan committed a second genocide in 1971. Estimates are from 1M to 3M people. Where's the outrage from the islamic community on Pakistan's second massive genocide? Again, there is none. Just like there would have been if all the Jews were killed in 1948. Just like there would have been if all the Jews were killed in 1967. Just like there would have been if all the Jews were killed in 2023. Why did Iran try to build nukes, and give the Houthis ballistic missiles, and give Hamas 100,000 rockets, and give Hezbollah 200,000 rockets, if not genocide against Israel? What was their goal, eyeball, and why do you support it, you filthy piece of crap? You're a massively opinionated, stupid piece of shit, with a penchant for genocide, eyeball. I know that you consider yorself a really strong proponent of good-vs-evil, but you're too easily manipulated by anyone with ulterior motives.

Will Poillievre Try To Sabotage 24 Sussex Restoration ?
CdnFox replied to BeaverFever's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There are documents that you can go through to show some of the problems but you have to remember it's not just a residence. Foreign dignitaries will be entertained there, events will be held there. The security considerations and communications technology that must be built into it as well as the surrounding grounds and the lavishness of the rooms to create a proper image of the wealth and power of our country are substantial, All of that drives the price up radically. The thing is part show piece, heart museum, part entertainment facility, it has to be able to cook food for large amounts of people, it has to be a communication hub And it has to be a secure facility protected against attack of any type not just for the residents but for those visiting. Complicating this will be if they want to try and keep the look or exterior or facade for historic purposes. He has been noted that it would be cheaper to just rip it down and rebuild from scratch without trying to salvage any of the existing look but some people are against that for historical reasons I'm usually the first to complain about excessive government spending but honestly when you look at what they'd have to do and what it has to be when it's finished 50 million bucks seems like a reasonable price to me. As much as I hate to admit it it is important our country to have an official residence that is suitably impressive. The white house in the states is a symbol of American power, 10 downing street and Buckingham Palacels of the power and authority of the British empire and united kingdom. Etc etc And what do we currently have? A decrepid old building in mind the rats. I don't quite like how he's going about it and I don't like that the liberals are getting a free ride for the fact that Trudeau ignored this for 11 years but I do see the need -
Consensus is no part of the scientific process. At all. In fact it's the antithesis of science Science only moves forward because somebody comes along and says that the previously accepted science is wrong. If that wasn't true we would still be using Newtonian models for the movement of objects. And if there is such a huge body of science to suggest that climate change is a crisis then why have you never been able to produce any?

So Trump's EO is not valid. However, it is constitutional. That sounds like a contradiction. SCOTUS said that the EO violates a federal statute. So, now the Republicans can pass a law to stop anchor babies. It needs to be done now. https://www.scotusblog.com/ In other SCOTUS rulings, we now have unlimited campaign funding and trans in sports is a states' rights issue.
-
Consensus is also a fundamental part of political agendas, which is why we don't trust them. Stick to the science, or go over there and pound sand.
-
Consensus is not part of the scientific method. Science progresses through empirical testing, observation, and falsification, not by majority vote or political negotiation.

Why bullying Canada is justified
paxamericana replied to paxamericana's topic in Canada / United States Relations
For America, worked out great. They emerged as the undefeated world war champion twice and, let’s not forget, the victor of the Cold War. As I write these words America’s forces is engaging the remnants of the Axis of evil; Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, China, Russia, and Iran are facing assault from America on all fronts—economic, political and military. Day by day, we tear the grip of their despot, taking the fight to America’s enemies. Triumph after triumph is what history will remember. -
Bern said that we had roughly a decade. What do you suppose that means? We have 6 years to go. What happens around 2032?

The Naturalization Act of 1790
Deluge replied to Deluge's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
As the topic of immigration continues to heat up, I'm often reminded of how brilliant our founders were when they introduced the Naturalization Act of 1790. With each passing week, it feels more and more like revitalizing this act is necessary. Now, I'm not sure how realistic it would be to make America completely white again, but I'm sure we could start with something like identifying the truly patriotic and stripping the rest of citizenship. What do you think? -
Judged by genocide, is Yahweh good or evil?
French Patriot replied to French Patriot's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Do you not have a search engine, stupid? Yah·weh [ˈyäˌwā] a form of the Hebrew name of God used in the Bible. The name came to be regarded by Jewish people (c.300 BC) as too sacred to be spoken, and the vowel sounds are uncertain. An androgenous God. It makes a big difference, if you ask rib woman Eve. -
The main one would be recognizing the fact that the only Gods we have, we invented. We are realists who recognize that things cannot be better than they are, given our history. We can picture better but it can only happen if we do it. Let me speak to the misunderstanding of Gnostic Christians hating matter. I wrote this to refute the false notion that Gnostic Christians do not like matter and reality that the inquisitors propagated to justify their many murders of my religion’s originators. The Gnostic Christian reality. Gnostic Christian Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all. [And after they have reigned they will rest.]" "If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you. Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you. [Those who] become acquainted with [themselves] will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living Father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty." As you can see from that quote, if we see God's kingdom all around us and inside of us, we cannot think that the world is anything but evolving perfection. Most just don't see it and live in poverty. Let me try to make you see the world the way I do. Here is a mind exercise. Tell me what you see when you look around. The best that can possibly be, given our past history, or an ugly and imperfect world? Candide."It is demonstrable that things cannot be otherwise than as they are; for as all things have been created for some end, they must necessarily be created for the best end.” That means that we live in the best of all possible worlds, because it is the only possible world, given all the conditions at hand and the history that got us here. That is an irrefutable statement given entropy and the anthropic principle.

1. Sure it is. Islam has been growing rapidly for the past 20 years - it's the 2nd largest religion in Canada, and you know that whoever is 1st isn't going to hold that position very long. Islam isn't even a religion, really, but you can bet it's at least the 2nd most powerful political force in Canada as well. 2. I don't know about any of that, but it looks like your task is clear: get rid of America and make room for Islam, or China, or whoever else is waiting in the shadows. 3. Well, as Islam takes over, I'm sure it will be a lot more clear as to how to adapt to their rulership.

It's a house purpose-built for a lumber baron. Yeah, it's old, but the cost isn't because it's old. The estimated costs of building a new one are almost as high. Which I again don't understand since they already own the land. Not the nicest house in Ottawa comes remotely close to these prices. No home in Ottawa has ever sold for much over $10 million, and half of that is the land.
