That would be a violation of the sovereignty of another country, stealing on a massive scale as well as a complete violation of human rights.

That’s all good and fine , tariff isn’t a violation of human rights.

I was not talking about tariffs.  What is your belief about America invading and taking over other countries?  Your motto manifest destiny, hegemony, American imperialism appears to mean you believe it would be all all right to take over other countries by force.  I don't see how a Bible-believing Christian could believe that.  It is fascism.  No different than Hitler taking over other countries.  Can you explain yourself?

Well, at least i got out of moms basement and served the nation...every deployment I've been on guys like you were never to be seen....not on the front lines, or in the rear because guys like you never really served the nation, they just chirp those that did...Typical leftist mentality when they don't really have a intelligent response they resort to commenting on my character...

  1. Even "moderate" is far too kind
  2. it's weird that they can rate them as biased, but then also say that they have high accuracy and credibility. That speaks volumes about the integrity of that site.

If a person thinks that a moderate amount lying is normal, then it just makes sense that CBC's level of integrity is fine for them. I don't like outright lies.

And again, I'm not talking about someone who says something trivial, like "It didn't rain", when there was 15 seconds of light drizzle in 17 minutes. I'm talking about when a news outlet pretends that children need an improperly trialled drug when there's no evidence to support such a claim, and the drug is known to have lethal side effects.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Sure, that’s the American national interest to defend itself. There’s no conflict there with scripture.

I take the Augustinian and Aquinas view; War is permitted in limited context to bring about peace and not celebrated.

I genuinely believe this, especially towards Canadian, I don’t view Canada as a foreign nation, I already consider you all North Americans. Thus shall I love my neighbor like my self. And that means… tough love.

I'm no better than any other Canadian, and no Canadian is above me either.... And if all our opinions where the same it would make for a boring country.... In my eyes there are very few leftist ideals that i like as well...and yet here we are discussing them on a forum , instead of waring with each other like mad men...

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Just keep deluding yourself with your ignorance of reality that if an election was called tomorrow, Carney would wipe his ass with PP's face.

And this is what you don't understand, Trump decides who he wants to trade with, and if he does not like who we trade with, then he can decide to leave that relationship....

Why are you defending a guy that has not kept one election promise....he has no trade deal, he has not fixed our trading relationship....all he has done has pi$$ed off the Americans....most of what he has accomplished was Conservative ideas...taking for PP...not sure how you can continually support a guy that has not really delivered on much...Thinking this deal with China is a win for Canada...is laughable...thinking his speech is world changing has done nothing for Canada...except made him a little more popular on the world stage...except he was elected to fix our problems....

Kearny is trying to take a bit of a Michael hardener approach and appear to both believe in something and not believe in something at the same time

I mean it's true, we don't have a trade deal. That was my complaint minute one. We've given them a bunch of free crap that we've committed to that will benefit them strongly and we've gotten nothing in return in the way of assurances or agreements,

They get to break into our car market, get access to our RCMP info, get to go back and forth without visas, their media gets more access while ours gets none over there,  and we get a 'maybe' on canola with no guarantee they won't raise it the next day.

So no deal.  Claiming it's a 'free trade' deal is even more insane, we've given up everything and gotten next to nothing in the way of 'free trade'.

At the same time it IS true that we've gotten closer to china and given them unprecedented access.

So... trump's got a point and i get that he's mad china is making inroads and will probably have more and more ties with Canada and access to all kinds of goodies and such,  but he's going to be waiting a long time if he's waiting for a 'deal' on paper to be signed

i suspect that this will come to a bit of  a head when the first chinese cars land in canada, but that's likely half a year away or more.  They still have to go through safety testing and the like

The Canadian government says there is no new trade deal with China.  Trump seems to think there is.  Liberal cabinet ministers say the deal made with China is just to correct some existing trade issues such as the 100% tariff China put on canola and in exchange allowing a small number of 49,000 EVs into Canada.  That is only 3% of the number of cars manufactured in Canada.  These are not to dump into the U.S. as Trump seems to think. They will be sold in Canada to Canadians.

So I don't think Trump understands this is not a free trade agreement with China.  China agrees to reduce the tariff from 100% to a 15% tariff on canola beginning in March.  That will save thousands of jobs in Canada.  Somebody should explain this to Trump.  China is not taking over Canada.

Facts:
Canada has free trade agreements with 51 countries - China is not one of them.
In 2014, Stephen Harper's Conservative government signed a 15-year FIPA (foreign investment protection agreement) with China.
The deal Carney made just brings relations back to where they were before Trump asked us to nab one of their citizens and then they retaliated by kidnapping 2 of ours.
"What we've done with China is to rectify some issues that have developed in the last couple of years," Carney told reporters Sunday morning in Ottawa,.
“Canada does not have a comprehensive free trade agreement (FTA) with China.
While there is no formal FTA, the two countries recently reached a specific, narrow trade arrangement in January 2026 to resolve a series of retaliatory tariffs.”
There is great trade potential between both countries as we are aligned on mutual respect and prosperity, including green tech, collaborative-AI, and other key issues.

That's what makes me laugh at these Maple MAGAtts. They MUST lie about everything. The Orange Overlord lies and claims Canada is pursuing free trade with China, Carney replies to the lie pointing out it's not true and the Maple MAGAtts Carney is backing down and claim a victory. What a mob of total losers.

We got into a hostage crisis with Chine by sucking up to American demands, then into s trade war by sucking up with American tariffs and your sokutions are to fix everything by sucking up more.

Trump is a psychopath and should be in prison for multiple murders. It is useless to try to reason with a sick guy like him, and we must look for other partners to trade with until the voters get rid of him.

Yeah except it’s helping the Chinese supply chain and not North Americans. The whole point of this tariff thing was to encourage the industrial build out in NA.

What ever it takes for you to cope with the fact that Canada isn’t really a sovereign country. It’s effectively a unincorporated territory of the United States of America. Think of Canada as a NGO non government organization. Your Emperor is in Washington DC.
