They and all their descendants received a corrupt, fallen nature. They listened to the serpent (Satan) and were deceived. That is the condition of mankind now. The world is in a corrupt, fallen condition because of man's first sin against God. That was passed down to all of us. That problem is exacerbated by the fact the fallen nature often does not believe what they are told about their condition and the fact they are being deceived by Satan and demonic spirits under his command. It was the devil who told Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit. But Jesus Christ taught that you may eat whatever you choose. The prohibition against that fruit was a form of demonic control over the couple. Some people may accredit the following facts about the Bible to be “coincidence,” but anyone who knows the Lord and follows Him knows that there are no “coincidences” where God is concerned. In fact, the Bible states that God “works all things according to the counsel of His will” (Ephesians 1:11) and He “does everything for a purpose” (Proverbs 16:4). As you read the following facts, consider every “coincidence” that would have to fall into place so perfectly for the compilation of the Bible to be as complete as it is. (All of these facts can be found through an internet search.) The Bible was written by over 40 different men of various backgrounds. The backgrounds of these men include kings, prophets, fishermen, doctors, shepherds, farmers, and priests. All of these men wrote independently of one another. There was no collaboration. These men wrote on three different continents – Europe, Asia and Africa. The Bible was written in three different languages – Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. The Bible was written over a 1,500-year period. The message through every book of the Bible is consistent, and this message reveals God to humanity and informs them that they can be saved through faith in Jesus Christ. (click here to learn about salvation) There are approximately 1,817 prophecies in the Bible and at least half of them have already been fulfilled as written. These Are Just Facts, They Don’t Prove Anything You may be asking the question: how do these facts prove the Bible’s authenticity, they’re just facts? Well, I suggest you ponder these questions: How can it be those 40 different men, on three different continents, writing in three different languages, over a 1,500 year period all write the same message without any collaboration? How could every book in the Bible point to the same message surrounding God’s plan of redemption for humanity and all point to one person, Jesus Christ? How can one book contain 1,817 prophecies and have half of them come to pass exactly as written? You see, if a Higher Power – in this case the Lord God Almighty – orchestrated and inspired all the writers of the Bible, then there can be no doubt that He exists. The facts alone prove that. The Bible cannot be pushed aside as a fictional book that was written by “coincidence.” Just the fulfilled prophecies alone prove the Bible’s Authenticity. Also, there are great benefits to reading the Bible everyday. God gave us His Word so that we would not have to guess about right or wrong or live our lives without instruction. God loves us so much that He made sure we had His words written down. AND… the Bible is God’s way of speaking directly to us. (click here to read about the Benefits of Reading the Bible Everyday) But Wait…there’s Also Tangible Evidence Yes, the facts mentioned above prove the Bible’s authenticity, but there is also tangible evidence. Over the years, archeology has confirmed that the people, sites, and battles written about in the Bible are real. As it states in Psalm 85:11 “Truth shall spring out of the earth” and that is exactly what has happened over the years. There are numerous relics that have been excavated that point right back to Biblical scripture. (click here to read more about archology proving the Bible’s authenticity) In addition, several Biblical manuscripts have been found over the years. For example, the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in 1947, validating Biblical writings. The discovery includes fragments of at least 190 Biblical scrolls. Although most of the manuscripts have been fragments, there has been the discovery of a complete scroll of the Book of Isaiah. Archeologists have recovered almost every book of the Old Testament. Dead Sea Scrolls If You’ve Never Read the Bible, Start Today There are so many facts and evidence that proves the Bible’s authenticity. It is hard to believe that there are many people who deny that the Bible contains the very words of God. If you are one of those who have doubts, I pray that you would do some research and start reading the Bible. Believe me, you are missing out on so much by not reading it. If you do decide to read the Bible, you will find that God is loving and kind and wants everyone to see Him for who He truly is – He is our Creator, He is our Father. In fact, in the Bible, God makes many promises to us. If you’d like to know about these promises, click here. My prayer is that you will begin your journey of Bible discovery today. I promise, you will not be disappointed. unquote Facts That Prove The Bible’s Authenticity | Amy Blossom The King James Bible (1611) is the preserved authentic word of God because it is the only version based on the Received Text (New Testament) and the Hebrew Masoretic Text (Old Testament). 1 Quote

LOL Every society, even including our own indigenous had shamans that made predictions and told stories. You are correct in saying there are many people who made predictions over the years, but many of those predictions turned out to be false. There are many prophecies in the Bible that have already been fulfilled proving the credibility and authenticity of the prophecies. There are other prophecies in the Bible yet to be fulfilled in the future. And yes there have been made false religions in the world, but if you studied and understood the Bible you would see the difference between false religion and the truth of the Bible. "False religions, and the consequences of following them, are themes addressed in the Bible. Although the texts don't always directly describe false religions as we might define them today, they provide valuable insights about idolatry, heresies, and the importance of genuine faith. In this article, we will explore how several Bible passages paint a broader picture of false religions and the Biblical exhortations to avoid them. Idolatry and False Worship Galatians 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Galatians, lists idolatry among the works of the flesh. Idolatry in the Bible often refers to the worship of physical idols or gods other than the God of Israel. But more broadly, idolatry encompasses any kind of substitute for God, such as placing undue importance on wealth, power, or even ideology. In the modern context, idolatry can take various forms, including materialism, where individuals place possessions over spiritual well-being, or extreme nationalism, where a country or leader becomes a focal point of unquestioning devotion. The Bible warns that such practices lead to moral and spiritual degradation. Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Jesus emphasizes the emptiness of worship that is based on human traditions rather than God's commandments. This principle can be applied to religions or religious practices that prioritize rituals and external forms over genuine spiritual transformation and sincere devotion to God. Deception and False Prophets Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. This prophecy from Jesus warns about the perils of deception by false prophets and false Messiahs. The New Testament repeatedly cautions believers to be vigilant and discerning, aware that many will come in the name of Christ to lead people astray. False prophets may appear credible, even performing miracles, but their teachings will ultimately diverge from the truth of the Gospel. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. John instructs believers to test the spirits to determine whether they are from God. This process involves comparing teachings and prophecies against the core tenets of the Christian faith as revealed in the Bible. Discernment is crucial because false teachings can lead individuals away from true faith. Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. Repeating a similar theme, Mark again records Jesus's warnings about deceptive signs and wonders aimed at leading even the most faithful astray. These warnings underscore the importance of grounding oneself in the truth of God's word. unquote False Religions in the Light of Biblical Teachings by Digital Bible Edited September 29, 2025 by blackbird 1 Quote

You forget the Bible does not claim to be a science book. The Bible is a supernatural book, a revelation from God to mankind. God created mankind and created science. Science is not a god and God is not subservient to man or man's science. So why would God need to prove anything about science? That wouldn't make sense. When something supernatural that God did is recorded in the Bible, it is just stated as a fact. Since God is omnipotent and omniscient and is the Creator, why would he need to get on his knees to prove anything to some skeptic on earth. God said "1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. {substance: or, ground, or, confidence} 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. " Hebrews 11:1-3 KJV Read that whole chapter of Hebrews ch.11. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. God could have chosen to just create a bunch of robots, but he didn't do that.. He created mankind with the ability to think and choose. God wants people of faith, not people of unbelief who demand everything be proven to them. The Bible has enough information in it to give man faith if one reads it with an open mind. " Top 10 Bible Prophecies That Have Already Been Fulfilled 1. The Virgin Birth One captivating prophecy centers on the Messiah’s miraculous birth. Long before it happened, the prophet declared, “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son” (Isaiah 7:14). Centuries later, the Gospels record that Jesus was indeed born of a virgin. This fulfillment signals the beginning of a life filled with signs that only the hand of God could orchestrate. 2. Born in Bethlehem Another remarkable prediction pointed to a little Judean town: “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah… from you will come forth for Me one to be ruler over Israel” (Micah 5:2). At first glance, Bethlehem hardly seemed like a place where a mighty King, let alone the Savior of the world, would arrive. Yet, Jesus was born there, fulfilling this promise word for word! 3. The Betrayal for Thirty Silver Coins Sometimes, the finest details underscore the truth of divine prophecy. Zechariah foretold, “So they paid me thirty pieces of silver” (Zechariah 11:12). In a turning point of the Gospel narratives, Judas Iscariot’s betrayal of Jesus for precisely thirty pieces of silver confirms how God’s Word leaves no loose ends. 4. The Triumphal Entry on a Donkey Picture the King of kings riding humbly into Jerusalem on a donkey’s colt—a scene announced in advance by the prophet Zechariah: “See, your King comes to you… gentle and riding on a donkey” (9:9). The New Testament account shows Jesus entering Jerusalem exactly this way, enthralling crowds who adored Him with shouts of praise. 5. The Suffering Servant Isaiah painted a vivid picture of the Messiah’s sacrificial mission: “He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5). At the crucifixion, those words leaped to life as Jesus bore the sins of many, fulfilling a divine plan of redemption that was spoken centuries before. 6. The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit The prophet Joel made an astounding promise: “I will pour out My Spirit on all people” (Joel 2:28). After Jesus rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit was famously poured out on believers at Pentecost—a spiritual watershed that sparked the rapid spread of the good news throughout the world. 7. The Return from Babylon Sometimes God’s people found themselves far from home, but even then, His words held true. Jeremiah had predicted the return from exile: after seventy years, the people would come back (see Jeremiah 29:10). Scripture shows the captives were indeed freed to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple, testifying that divine promises are not empty words. 8. The Temple’s Destruction in AD 70 Jesus saw beyond His time on earth when He told His followers, “Not one stone will be left on another; every one will be thrown down” (Mark 13:2). In AD 70, the Roman army leveled Jerusalem’s Temple. This tragic event proved He was right, reminding us again that no prophecy in Scripture fails. 9. The Spread of the Gospel to All Nations What once seemed unthinkable—salvation reaching beyond Israel—was in fact prophesied: “I will make You a light for the nations, to bring My salvation to the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 49:6). From the day Jesus commissioned His disciples, the good news touched countless lives worldwide, fulfilling this grand design. 10. The Davidic Covenant on the Throne A final prophecy guaranteed that a descendant of David would establish an eternal kingdom. God had promised, “Your house and kingdom will endure forever before Me” (2 Samuel 7:16). When Jesus, known as the “Son of David,” took not an earthly throne but a spiritual one forged in heaven, that promise emerged clearly for all who believe. Each of these prophetic fulfillments offers a powerful reminder that when Scripture speaks, reality follows. The impact resonates throughout history—and continues to encourage hearts to this day. unquote Top 10 Bible Prophecies That Have Already Been Fulfilled 1 Quote

For example, this thread is about the Liberal government supporting dividing Israel into two, Palestine and Israel. This is against the Bible and against Israel. Therefore I gave the Biblical reasons why the Carney government is wrong. That evolved into a debate about the truth of the Bible, which it often does, because people like you don't accept the Bible. So that is the problem. You need to study the Bible and learn the truth. Things are not as you see them in the world. There is good and evil and there is a logical reason why that is so. Organized religion is often a failure and there are many false organized religions in the world. The truth is you are a fallen, corrupt sinner like everyone else and in need of being redeemed. Ever thought about that? According to the Bible, there are two kinds of people in the world. Those who are unredeemed fallen sinners because everyone is born that way OR you are redeemed by faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in accordance with the Bible. That's the only choice everyone has. Unless you are redeemed, you will be lost for eternity. You should be thanking God that somebody told you that. Edited October 1, 2025 by blackbird Quote

That is the West Bank and possibly Gaza. This would effectively cut Israel in approximately half and greatly weaken its ability to defend itself. Actually Israel is an artificial country created to give the Jews a place to live. A puppet of the US to exert military pressure in the Middle East. Who do you support, that monster south of us that wants to devour us? Quote
