You are correct in saying there are many people who made predictions over the years, but many of those predictions turned out to be false.   There are many prophecies in the Bible that have already been fulfilled proving the credibility and authenticity of the prophecies.  There are other prophecies in the Bible yet to be fulfilled in the future.

And yes there have been made false religions in the world, but if you studied and understood the Bible you would see the difference between false religion and the truth of the Bible.

You forget the Bible does not claim to be a science book.  The Bible is a supernatural book, a revelation from God to mankind.  God created mankind and created science.  Science is not a god and God is not subservient to man or man's science.  So why would God need to prove anything about science?  That wouldn't make sense.  When something supernatural that God did is recorded in the Bible, it is just stated as a fact.  Since God is omnipotent and omniscient and is the Creator, why would he need to get on his knees to prove anything to some skeptic on earth.  God said "1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. {substance: or, ground, or, confidence} 2  For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Read that whole chapter of Hebrews ch.11.

The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God.  

God could have chosen to just create a bunch of robots, but he didn't do that..  He created mankind with the ability to think and choose.  God wants people of faith, not people of unbelief who demand everything be proven to them.  The Bible has enough information in it to give man faith if one reads it with an open mind.

The thing about Big Religion that really makes it dangerous is how faith-based belief makes nonsense and fantastical thinking so respectable.

Nonsense.  Politics and Biblical truth are locked together and you can't separate them.  For example, this thread is about the Liberal government supporting dividing Israel into two, Palestine and Israel.  This is against the Bible and against Israel.  Therefore I gave the Biblical reasons why the Carney government is wrong.  That evolved into a debate about the truth of the Bible, which it often does, because people like you don't accept the Bible.  So that is the problem.  You need to study the Bible and learn the truth.  Things are not as you see them in the world.  

There is good and evil and there is a logical reason why that is so.  Man did not evolve from a monkey or ape.   Life is not an accident of the cosmos.  The complex universe with the vast string of information in DNA in cells is not an accident of chemicals.  It required a Creator we call God.  If you can provide a better explanation, go for it.

Having freedom of speech is one thing but constant preaching is completely opposite of free speech especially if one tries to demean others with the preaching,.

The thing about Big Religion that really makes it dangerous is how faith-based belief makes nonsense and fantastical thinking so respectable.

I predict this will prove fatal going into a future fraught with complex interconnected problems that will require clear headed thinking above all else to survive. I doubt solving the worst of them is an option anymore meaning it's probably all ready too late.

The truth is those nations that oppose the God of the Bible and his commands are in danger of judgment.  How that judgment will come about is the question.  Could it be the nation will fall just as many nations did in the past?  But the Bible is definitely clear about individuals who do not repent and turn to the Lord and be born again.

Never said organized religion is the solution.  Organized religion is often a failure and there are many false organized religions in the world.

The truth is you are a fallen, corrupt sinner like everyone else and in need of being redeemed.  Ever thought about that?  

According to the Bible, there are two kinds of people in the world.  Those who are unredeemed fallen sinners because everyone is born that way  

OR you are redeemed by faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in accordance with the Bible.  That's the only choice everyone has.

Unless you are redeemed, you will be lost for eternity.  

You should be thanking God that somebody told you that.
