If you are here now, disavowing how your comment clearly came across to others, that you were in fact saying your thoughts and prayers were genuinely with him, fair enough... that doesn't excuse you spending the rest of the time in this thread pushing lies, conspiracies, as to the killers motivations and things about the killer.

It's two days after the attack.  I would call that in very bad taste and full of ick.  But it's not celebrating the attack at all, it's not saying that pelosi was a bad person and deserved it or that the attacker was a good person or justified, it's a poor attempt at humour basically making fun of pelosi, who wasn't killed or the like.  

Again, horrible taste but it's not excusing the attack, it's not encouraging violence or anything and while making fun of an attack is not appropriate at all it's not in the same league as a public assassination.  It's closer to making fun of biden when he falls down stairs. Pelosi let a stranger in while in his undies and got bonked when the police showed up, and i guess that's kind of silly in an abstract way, but i don't believe in making fun of violence like that especially so close to the incident.

There's really no equivalency here at all. I mean don't get me wrong, I definitely don't think better of him as a person for saying that and I would say it's inappropriate especially that soon after an attack when a guy is still recovering from at that point, especially when we don't even know all the details which was the case at that moment.

But it's nothing like chanting we shot Charlie in the neck. Or 'danielle smith next, please and thank you".  Or the millions who've been saying "well technically i don't think it's ok to shoot him BUT.. he totally deserved it".  

You must have looked long and hard to try and find something you could try and pin on the right wing and failed if that's the best you can come up with. If I saw that posted at the time it was posted I would have commented that it was really inappropriate and in very poor taste but at the same time it's nothing like holding up president trump's bloody severed head and trying to pass that off as a 'nonviolent joke'.

Well first off the attack on Pelosi wasn't really political. In fact it's obvious the guy didn't go there with the intent of attacking Pelosi, he was there for an hour chatting it up with him and only attacked him when the police showed up and appears to have been very badly mentally disturbed. And Paul wasn't a politician. 

But it was attack that had a relationship to politics. And beyond that it was an attack, and i'm not excited too much about making fun of any violent attack (with the exception of the case of lorana bobbit, sorry but those just write themselves) 

So you can't say he's making fun of political violence, it really wasn't the case of political violence. It was a case where a nut job showed up, talk to him for an hour, and then in a moment of panic when the cops showed up decided to Bonk him over the head with the cops watching.

But he is making fun of a violent attack and I'm not really cool with that

 

But you couldn't find a good example of conservatives making fun of political violence. So this was the closest you could come so you're desperately trying to claim that this is an example of that when it very clearly is not. It's not political violence, and he's not encouraging the violence or excusing the violence or justifying in any way shape or form the violence he's just making a bad Halloween joke about the fact that Paul got attacked in his underwear.
