Over 700 recorded instances not enough , micheal....how many do you need, before it meets your meaningful stage...1000, 10000, these are just instances that happened at school...it does not include any where else like universities, in our streets....to brush it aside as not meaningful is telling....

I listed all the links that were ion the story, and there were over 700 reported cases, of abuse with one in 6 cases being from the teachers of approved by teachers...

There’s racism of every sort in our classrooms, there always has been and I fear there always will be. They are a reflection of society. Imagine what First Nations kids have had to hear over the years. This is part of a larger problem.

If that's your biggest problem then all you're doing is defending the bad actions of other people. I posted the title from the article, it's not like I made something up out of my own head to try and sound dramatic.

There has not always been racism in our classrooms nor does there need to be. We absolutely can put our foot down and say that teachers are not allowed to be racist. We absolutely can punish the hell out of teachers who call children half human if they're a religion they don't like. That is absolutely a choice we can make

I don't understand why you're trying to defend this Behavior as being acceptable. You and I don't always get along but I've always respected the fact that at least you're reasonable in your statements even if I disagree with them but this is absolutely Unacceptable. Supporting the abuse of children is just not acceptable and you are absolutely supporting them so don't bother to try and deny it. You're explaining how this kind of thing is going to happen and then we shouldn't do anything about it, you're trying to pretend that the title of the threat is the problem and not this behavior,. You should be deeply ashamed of that

There's only one right answer here. This stuff should not be tolerated and it should be rooted out and anyone caught doing it with children should be punished and terminated. A law should be passed saying that no person can hold a teaching license if they are found to have behaved in a grossly bigoted or prejudicial way towards children

Nothing wrong with the title, what is wrong is many on here jumped to conclusions and brushed it off as a silly remark by one 6 year old...when there were almost 800 individual complaints "that were reported" Those allegations come from reported incidents, and the report was an official government of Canada report that highlights racism in many forms in our education system...it also mentions that 1 in every six complaints were against teachers or staff....  It doesn't take into account anything that is happening in our higher education institutions, nor anything happening outside of our education system..Some of these student shave had to MOVE in order to escape this racism...These people are Canadians not israelis jews, Canadians and it should be a concern for all of us...

If it was a meaniless story or incident why has the federal government made a report about it...

You make it sound like "hey it has been going on for years,and nobody has really done anything about it" so it must be OK...it is a reflection of society....and yet we have pointed out the military for the way it treated women, and gay people...nobody said it is a reflection of society....they stood up dozens of committees, tore apart the fabric of the military,and poof we have the results we have today.... we have done this to a lot of different groups or organizations...EXCEPT when it comes to our education system that we have excused for some reason.

Einstein was a pacifist who advocated for a bi-national state to replace mandatory Palestine where Jews and Arabs could live and work peacefully together. He was as much against an Arab state as he was a Jewish state. That was until reality set in. The holocaust, the wars, his own experiences with antisemitism, surely played a part. The thing is that even a person with the intellect of an Einstein is allowed to change their minds.
