Carney was hopelessly down in the polls, but Trump put him over the top. LMAO

Don't you mean "suck on that Canada"?

I'm assuming that the liberals wanted Carney since they voted for him.

What are you talking about? Trudeau was hopelessly down in the polls but as soon as he left and Carney ran He was above the conservatives. In fact at one point he was 12 points above the conservatives

Are you unable to get any of your facts right?

Anyway it's a minority government so we'll be able to replace him soon enough and the conservatives did absolutely fantastic. There's no doubt carney won because of trump but that won't last long. It's not like the states where we have to wait for years

Not like you do  ;)

Thats Canada's problem. They f'd themselves.

The Rules for Liberal tactics:

  1. If they can't refute the content, attack the source.
  2. If they can't refute the content, attack the poster.
  3. If 1 and 2 fail, pretend it never happened.
  4. Everyone you disagree with is Hitler.
  5. A word is defined by the emotion it elicits and not the actual definition.
  6. If they are wrong, blame the opponent.
  7. If a liberal policy didn't work, it's a conservatives fault and vice versa.
  8. If all else fails, just be angry.

At least y'all still have MAID? After all you have tons of land but somehow can't find room for housing, exceptionally long lines for a doctor and more taxes than income, maybe MAID is the answer?

Kind of a dick thing to say dude. Like seriously. I've always thought of you someone with a bit of integrity and decent moral values. Suggesting conservative should kill themselves pretty dark for someone who supported trump.

I was pointing out all the "great" things about liberals. Like expensive housing, bad health care and the option to committ suicide just because. Maybe it was a little tactless. Sorry about that. I just can't believe yall allow assisted suicide.

I've seen how suicide affects people that lose their loved one. I've seen kids abandoned by their mom. Sons that couldn't handle heart break. Colleagues that felt hopeless. To think that a society wants to make that possible baffles me. Everyone that I've seen take their own life had a lot to live for.

But, you guys voted for it. So that blood is on your hands. I know you probably didn't, but your countrymen did.

Probably. Carney is such a liar I can see him cheating on Xi.

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Not nearly as much as you'd think.

A lot of it is up in the frozen north, where no one wants to live, and most of BC is impossible due to all the mountains.

You can plunk homes down almost anywhere below the 49th parallel, but that's not the case here.

Probably 90% of the people in this country either live between Windsor Ontario and Que city, Edm and Cgy, or in the Fraser Valley (sw BC).

That's not really true actually. We have tons of places to build that are perfectly habitable.    Some of it's pretty mountainous but even in BC there is a crap ton of very livable land that we've never developed.

We could easily have 10 times our population and have plenty of room to put people

The real problem has to do with industry. There's no jobs, there's no work. So you can't just build a whole city in the middle of nowhere and expect people to live in it

That's our economy grows and diversifies then it becomes more and more practical for people to live in places like Kelowna and Kamloops and all the land in between there and here but right now if anything we've been losing jobs outside of the lower mainland and the island

There is land left, but what isn't developed BC is in the ALR.

Yeah LR is not nothing but it represents a small fraction of the land we could develop. It's just not our problem, our problem is that every job is located near the major metros except for resource jobs. So all the living space is congested around the major metros with this matter in the resource based living outside of that.

As our population grows and as our industry grows that will likely change and we will see more and more development outside of the current metros

Everyone else has.

Every world leader possessing any sense of decency that is.

He's in the media bragging about how he was the one that got carney elected. I'm sure he'll get around to calling him shortly

When Carney goes to Washington the Vance puppet can berate him for wearing a suit better than the President and being an ingrate for not thanking him enough for winning the election for him.

Aside from what's already developed, that ALR here is what's left that you could realistically build on.

We have developed the sides of mountains before - the British Properties being a prime example of land that wasn't great for building which was turned into some of the most expensive homes in the country - but it only makes sense around highly developed areas with lots of amenities, coastal views, etc, etc.

Compare "building on the side of one of the Selkirk mountains" to places like Texas, Wyoming, Ohio, Iowa, Nebraska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Utah, N & S Dakota, Montana... You can't swing a dead cat down there without it crossing a major Hwy, river system or railroad. Everything is interconnected AF. There's major infrastructure within a few miles of everywhere down there.

They don't have to build on the sides of mountains there, and none of those places are cold and dark like Fort Mac, Flin Flon, Buffalo Narrows...

We're as big as the US but have mountains, ice, and the outback. Building here isn't the same.

I absolutely positively 100% guarantee you that if we needed the room and we had to build and there was the jobs to fill we would find a way even if it meant removing the ALR.

The problem isn't having places to build.

I swear... you just mindlessly ask the question as if it didn't happen instead of taking 5 minutes to check and educate yourself. Thread after thread I have to continually correct you like this and then you run away.

You're wrong. Trudeau stepped down in Jan and at the beginning of Feb Carney was down 23 to 44.
