She was not chosen. That would have involved the primary, and she never put her name forward. She was selected as the only person they could choose at the very end

And she was not hired for her qualifications. In fact even democrats thought she was an absolutely horrible choice when she did put her name forward in 2020. The interest in her was so low she backed out before even getting one vote.

Biden is clearly mentally incapacitated and you're excited and happy to have him ruling the country. I say that pretty much wipes out your credibility on the who is qualified front

I worry about Gaetz as well. But RFK I like in that he's going to disrupt the status quo. The FDA and NHS have become far to entangled with corporations. They should be separated by a firewall. I think RFK will be that firewall, for the time being.

Of course if you're a visible minority and you're guilty then you'd choose a Demi judge, and no one would ever choose a Republican judge unless they knew that they were innocent. 

If that didn't make sense then the US wouldn't US need Gaetz to be the next AG.

One last thing: currently impeaching judges is done the same way as governors, presidents, etc... It is done by congress and the senate. That means that elected (ie partisan) officials have the power to remove sitting judges from the bench. It then follows that removing judges has a nasty political odour to it, so it simply isn't done. 

Maybe it's time to add another layer to that, like either requiring a SC vote of no less than 6-3, or requiring a minimum of 60% total and 20% support from the minority party in congress and the senate. If the political nature of impeachment was removed then maybe judges would take integrity more seriously.

Maybe it's also time to make a rule that neither party can appoint more than 5 of the 9 SCJs. Honestly you might as well light the constitution on fire if you ever end up with 6 or 7 Demi judges there, but it's not fair to have 7 GOP-appointees either, because you never know what the GOP will be like in 50 years... Maybe they'll become the party of racism and crime by the 2070s.
