Donald Trump Lied About Olympic Boxer

In a speech in Atlanta last night, Donald Trump falsely claimed that the female Algerian boxer was transgender, having been born male.  This is clearly false. 
 

Was Trump lying, or is he just utterly stupld?

1. being wrong about something as unimportant as an Olympic boxer
2. lying about something as critical as inflation, the cause of inflation, the Ukraine war, Hunter's overseas influence peddling, the Afghan withdrawal, the success of a drone strike that actually just killed a bunch of kids, etc, etc.

Your biases lead you to believe that there is some great disparity and injustice here. The data says otherwise, as I've already pointed out  Look at her record. Even with a successful Olympic games she's won about 75% of her fights. She's a contender, but not dominant, not in a different league or something. She may win a gold medal, but it's not any kind of foregone conclusion. 

The irony here is that if we grant that the genetic claims are true--and it's not clear that they are--it's the backwards conservatives who run her country who have given her no choice but to continue living and competing as a woman. I have no reason to believe she wants anything different than that, but when you deny people access to gender affirming care there is no choice to be made. 

Maybe just stop telling people what and who they're allowed to be?

The athlete’s condition is irrelevant, unless perhaps you’re finally ready to admit that there are legitimate medical reasons why some people do have a reason to be transgender.
