Trump’s Allies Ramp Up Campaign Targeting Voter Rolls

Quote

A network of right-wing activists and allies of Donald Trump is quietly challenging thousands of voter registrations in critical presidential battleground states, an all-but-unnoticed effort that could have an impact in a close or contentious election.

Calling themselves election investigators, the activists have pressed local officials in Michigan, Nevada and Georgia to drop voters from the rolls en masse. They have at times targeted Democratic areas, relying on new data programs and novel legal theories to justify their push.

In one Michigan town, more than 100 voters were removed after an activist lobbied officials, citing an obscure state law from the 1950s. In the Detroit suburb of Waterford, a clerk removed 1,000 people from the rolls in response to a similar request. The ousted voters included an active-duty Air Force officer who was wrongly removed and later reinstated.

The purge in Waterford went unnoticed by state election officials until The New York Times discovered it. The Michigan secretary of state’s office has since told the clerk to reinstate the voters, saying the removals did not follow the process laid out in state and federal law, and issued a warning to the state’s 1,600 clerks.

The Michigan activists are part of an expansive web of grassroots groups that formed after Trump’s attempt to overturn his defeat in 2020. The groups have made mass voter challenges a top priority this election year, spurred on by a former Trump lawyer, Cleta Mitchell, and True the Vote, a vote-monitoring group with a long history of spreading misinformation.

Their mission, they say, is to maintain accurate voting records and remove voters who have moved to another jurisdiction. Democrats, they claim, use these “excess registrations” to stuff ballot boxes and steal elections.

The theory has no grounding in fact. Investigations into voter fraud have found that it is exceedingly rare and that when it occurs, it is typically isolated or even accidental. Election officials say that there is no reason to think that the systems in place for keeping voter lists up-to-date are failing.

The bigger risk, they note, is disenfranchising voters.

Of course ^this is the EXPECTED EFFORT by RepubliCONS to suppress the Democratic vote. 🤮

And none of the right wingers here will denounce it. OTC, they will cheer it on cause they loves them some FRAUD that helps Trump.

Don't worry, you guys still have your truck ballots.

There are NO BALLOTS until they are cast. And the voters that RepubliCONS are trying to disqualify are in most cases QUALIFIED UNDER THE LAW, because RepubliCONS are FRAUDULENTLY trying to use a law which does not conform to Federal law.

Thanks for proving you don't know what you're talking about.

there are ballots -  they aren't cast but they're still ballots. the ballot is the paper you're going to use to vote.

When you ask for the gov't to send you something so you can mail it back because you can't vote in person you receive a .... what?  A mail in what?  Ohhhh that's right.

The ballot is just the card you vote with, and they definitely exist before they are cast.

You're an !diot who doesnt' even understand how his own election works. Canadians know more than you

You practice bring stupid in front of the mirror don't you?

Are you paid by the post or by the hour? I suspect it's by the post based on your behavior. Do you get more for starting a thread? Do you get paid more based on how many people reply?

Most cases? Where did it say that in the article? All they did was cry about it happening not that they weren't valid, they only cited one case where it was done incorrectly.

They are trying to take away people's right to vote, not ballots. The US seems to be transitioning from a flawed democracy to a failed democracy.

They don't want another stolen election like in 2020. I don't want one either.

Nonsense. The other side can do the same thing - that was the argument for the mail in ballot harvesting wasn't it? There's nothing stopping dems from checking the rolls and making sure that the lists are up to date.

I notice that they're not saying that these people were WRONG - or that these voters SHOULD still be on the list. One guy apperently was taken off by mistake and then was immediately re-added when it was noticed.

So it's not voter supression if these people weren't actually eligable voters any more. But it does sound like it makes it harder for anyone to 'steal' these votes or vote unlawfully.  Why would you be opposed to that? Hmmmm? :)

Being someone that has access to the voter registration database in my state... I laugh at most of you. The real issue is that they put no effort into cleaning this database. Hence why two ballots get mailed to the same person or issues like that. This idea that some Illuminati is watching it and manipulating it is simply over active imagination. In NV, one gets added to the Database automatically upon getting a drivers license or learners permit. If you move from CA and then come back to NV.. your old record on most occasions does not get removed. That is just one example amongst many.

60 courts have said the election wasn't stolen. Even the SCOTUS said it wasn't stolen. You just aren't capable of accepting that Trump lost fair and square. You just hate democracy and want a dictator.

The Federalist

Quote

Falsehoods during the 2020 election

While ballots were being counted in the 2020 election, The Federalist made false claims of large-scale fraud.[8][9] One of The Federalist's tweets said, "Yes, Democrats Are Trying To Steal The Election In Michigan, Wisconsin, And Pennsylvania."[8] The website falsely insinuated that fraud was occurring in Michigan.[50] Other news outlets quickly showed that the purported fraud was a clerical error that was quickly corrected; The Federalist did not delete the story, which had gone viral.[51] Co-founder Sean Davis shared the misleading story, leading Twitter to tag his post as containing disputed information.[52]

Republican congressman Cliff Bentz of Oregon referenced Federalist articles as the source of his allegation during a town hall in La Grande that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg "bought" the 2020 election for Joe Biden by financing a 503c non-profit to expand poll worker training and security.[53]

Something is off, and everybody knows it - especially the riggers.

There is no way in hell that a tired old piece of shit like Joe Biden pulls down 80 million votes while hiding in his safety basement - he wasn't even the right skin tone, for god's sake, and we all know how important that is for democrats. It was a Covid year and Dominion was busy changing ballot colors. There just hasn't been enough courage or ability on our side to expose that shit. That's it.

No. they didn't.  They said there was no evidence to show that it was.

That is not the same thing by a landslide. we've done a few threads on this. IT would be entirely possible to substantially skew the results (especially given the rules of the day due to covid) without there being evidence. Trump lost in some cases by a few thosuand votes.

That's why it's so important to have laws that make it much harder to cheat - which the us does not.

What a f'n loser comment.

"EVERY TIME REPUBLICANS DO SOMETHING IT'S TO END DEMOCRACY!!!!  Q796QSn.gif"

Maybe adding 4 SCJ's and using the FBI to commit crimes, spy on Trump, and block the laptop info was an attempt to end democracy. Did you ever think of that?

Also you would still be able to vote.  I believe depending on the state you just have to give proof of residency or the like  - just like canada if you're not on the voters list that doesn't mean you can't vote.  But it's harder for fraud to occur.

I know you'll laugh at what I say, but according to Dinesh D'Souza, the majority of those cases were dismissed on procedural grounds.

No, Donald Trump is not an existential threat to Democracy. They are just all reading from the same script when they use that tired line.

Ya, he's unbiased, a convicted felon who was pardoned by Trump. 🤣.

Trump is telling you otherwise. So why is he demanding exemption from any crimes he commits when in office?
