After fighting tooth and nail against border security when Trump was president, and promising to shut down wall-building on day 1 of Biden's new term, the Dems suddenly wanna start increasing security 3 years in, and now they're gonna scream blue murder because they're not getting their way.

it's absolutely joe biden - the man who went to court to get the right to open the border back up and release illegals into the country.  That's just a matter of record. He did not have to ever cancel Remain - and he did.

Sorry - more illegals have come across the border BY FAR in 2023 than in trumps entire time in office.  So far.

They were coming across the border from as far back as the 1960's ...where were the Republicans and all their complaints then? My Uncles' ranch was on the last remaining part of the Otay Mesa North of the Border , and he spoke often even back then of the illegals coming across at night scaring his cattle. The only reason we now are inundated with border crossings in such numbers is Trumps stupid idea of building a WALL along the border with Mexico!  Even people who had thought if Going to America as a future dream...now, thinking they wouldn't even gave a dream fulfilled in their dreams...packed up to come here, swarming like locusts because Trump hates Mexicans!

And it's a shame - trump would have probably made the changes then that were necessary if he had. As it is obama allowed crossings to grow till it was called a crisis.  Btw the number crossing now is 6 times that 'crisis' level.

I tend to think a part of the current border crisis came when then President Trump decided to build a solid Wall between two friendly countries who were previously trying to deal, not with a politically made worse problem on the border, to make a greedy politician look good.... but a water crisis which stemmed from the 1940 water treaty which has been giving Texas for decades unfair amounts of the water from the Rio Grande to Texas farmers while scrwing the Mexican farmers of a fair share and refusing to renegotiate said treaty despite multiple promises to do so by multiple Texas governors. Trump stepped into that and in exchange for votes for himself, 'fixed the problem' by putting up a Wall which also cut further into the Water rights allowed to Mexican farmers. The bad blood caused by Trump's action rippled from Mexico to all points south whose inhabitants, seeing their countries encouraged to destroy themselves by fueling our USA insatiable DRUG Lords billionaires by forming their own drug cartels to carve themselves out their own drug empires in Central and South America -as pretty much the only industry there now...and during whuch- meanwhile our billionaires are robbing their countries of every resource, every mineral, and reducing them to an agrarian geography now serves to steal their fair share of water...resulting in  destroying their countries !  And you have the Gaul to claim President Obama who didn't even take office until 2009!

Again, the "Brandon border" is the same as every other US border. Actually it's slightly more effective at repatriating border crossers and releases a lower percentage of border crossers into the US than the "Trump border." The only thing that's changed is the volume of people trying to cross. This accelerated under Trump as well, as conditions in Central and South America have deteriorated. The "open border" is a myth and a lie.

Our laws aren't equipped to deal with this volume of migrants. If we want to change the situation, we'll need to change the underlying fundamentals or the law. And Trumpublicans are actively working to sabotage changes to the law. If you want to blame somebody, that's a reasonable start.

Also, it's not your border or your country, so bugger off with the fanboy indignation.

That the GOP is now looking a lot like a bewildered dog chasing its own tail, Trump has once again refused to allow the bipartisan agreement that would have gone a long way to fixing our border problems that the GOP had paved a path to last year! 

 

The Facilitator in chief has no interest in securing the border. It's why he wants 5,000 illegal aliens crossing our borders everyday.
