If the workers are needed whether they have one form or another makes little difference, and they can still just say 'refugee' and vanish so you've resolved nothing in the slightest. So it not only lets more people in but makes them citizens. Which is precisely what the republicans are against. You're basically saying you want to let MOAR illeal residents in and make them legal. Not restrict immigration. This is literally what the repubilcans are against. THey want fewer immigrants and they don't want people to come here invited as farm workers and vanish OR become permanent citizens. IF they want to become permanent citizens then just apply in the normal process right.? So in short this does absolutely nothing to stop illegals, increases the immigration and creates new ways to cheat the system. In what universe is that "helping" to stop the flood of illegals? So no... it does not appear that signing this bill would 'Help" in the slighest. It would further the democrat agenda and that's fair, that's what they're there to do but you can't blame the republicans for not signing it. Let me educate you.on something. Most of the large Agricultural companies are run and owned by Republicans, and the entire Ag Industry leadership is Conservatively led...who do you think all these companies will follow in the future if a few Trumpettes senators try to block the Workforce Reorganization Act that will directly impact these companies and save them money while increasing their profits? This ACT will, in a few short years, FIX the major issues with the southern borders...yet Trump doesn't want it now, and why? Because it won't be a TRUMP fix. He won't get credit for it. And why the neck should he, he has dine nothing but try to obstruct it, make a huge mess out of what once was an orderly process, panicked tens of thousands south if here to rush to the Border as fast as they can to try and get into America before Texas starts a War with Mexico who, until Trump the Racist showed up, was our good neighbor to the south and an ally in keeping enemy armies off our southern shores and an ally in fighting the drug wars. Thanks to Trump, Mexico is now seen as an adversary who may, OR MAY NOT, even bother to stop anyone south.of their country passing through Mexico to Get to ours! Quote

robosmith Posted February 12, 2024 Report Posted February 12, 2024 The GOP Owns the Border Now Quote The GOP killed the border deal. The party that has been caterwauling for months—years—about the porous border dispatched one of its most conservative members, James Lankford of Oklahoma, to negotiate a bill. They had Democrats over a political barrel. President Biden was willing to sign a bill that included plenty of stuff that’s hard for many Democrats to swallow, but it’s an election year, and there’s Arizona to think about. They had a bill the likes of which they won’t see for another 15 years. And they killed it. Because Trump wants to say ‘open borders.’ Forget policy, forget human beings, forget all that. Politics is politics, and lots of things happen for, duh, political reasons. But this was on a whole ’nother level. When we think their behavior can’t get more shocking, it always, always does.” So how can the Democrats be sure that voters get the message that the Republicans now own this chaos? Obviously, for starters, just say it and say it and say it. Quote

Nationalist Posted February 13, 2024 Report Posted February 13, 2024 Meh...again with the stupidity. 1. robo-bot says anyone who disagrees with her is a TROLL. Its silly...worn out and...pathetic. 2. The US border is wide open and a fcking mess. Nothing Biden has promoted will change that. All he wants is more money to process the illegals faster so the optics aren't quite so bad. This is painfully obvious to anyone with half a brain...which excludes most Libbies unfortunately. 3. The only reason McConnell and his shrinking crew of war mongers wanted this bill, was to keep the money rolling in for his buddies in the military-industrial complex. I wish McConnell would go hunting with Cheyney. 4. Biden it toast and everyone knows it. Except robo-bot and her merry band of insane people. Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
robosmith Posted February 13, 2024 Report Posted February 13, 2024 Why Trump’s G.O.P. Sock Puppets Are Sinking a Bipartisan Effort to Tighten Up Border Security Quote On his social-media platform on Monday, the former President took time out from asking his followers whether he resembles Elvis Presley to denounce the bipartisan bill as “a Death Wish for the Republican Party.” Of course, what he really meant is that passing the bill and restricting the inflow of migrants could conceivably be a death wish for his Presidential campaign, because it might deprive him of his signature issue. As other Republicans sought to explain their opposition to the legislation in terms of its contents, Trump, as he often does, said the quiet part out loud. In a second social-media post, he described the bill as “a highly sophisticated trap for Republicans to assume the blame on what the Radical Left Democrats have done to our Border, just in time for our most important EVER Election.” And he went on: “Don’t fall for it!!!” Republicans bowed to Trump’s demands, which means they are now willing to allow the situation at the border to persist for at least another ten months. There are only two possible explanations for this stance: they are either ignoring what they have repeatedly described as a grave threat to national security, or they have been deliberately exaggerating the dangers all along for political reasons. No prizes for guessing the correct explanation. “Working with my administration, the United States Senate has done the hard work it takes to reach a bipartisan agreement,” Biden said. “Now, House Republicans have to decide. Do they want to solve the problem? Or do they want to keep playing politics with the border?” With Trump directing G.O.P. operations, that last question answers itself. Of course it's NOT as dangerous as they've been claiming AND R POLITICS trumps any solution. Quote

You've never come CLOSE to testing ^this THEORY. LMAO Often what you believe are "FACTS" are almost immediately proven wrong, like within days when you were told that "walls are breached all the time," the "impenetrable" wall in Gaza was breached in 30 places within minutes. Instead of admitting that you were wrong, you post a lame EXCUSE which you imagine means you were right, like the above speculation that because the wall was NOT breached "for all the years" means it was effective. All it means was that it took some planning and minimal equipment to breach it. Quote
