We folks it sure looks like the Reichwing party's worst nightmare is here. Yessir, young folk are suddenly starting to pay attention, watch the F out. Taylor Swift is making things happen with record numbers of just legal Americans registering to vote.

Yep the Righties always had this smug dismissive and disdainful  attitude towards our younger generation and now they're getting ready to roast a Big Fat Orange Hog called Donald Trump.

Funny how things work out eh?

And to add insult to injury Ms Swift is this adorable young lady who's strong, confident and will not be put down. And the harder the Reichwingnuts attack her the greater their punishment will be from the massive fan base that worships her.

Taylor Swift had become the enemy of the Right because she encouraged people to register to vote.  Shows you that the right wing is truly fascist and hates the U.S. Constitution.

It's their only chance, gerrymandering, discourage voters and cheating is their only resource. Unfortunate for them the sleeping giant is awakening.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

LOL...I hope you never change there sonny-boy. You are a conservative's best tool for exemplifying the dangers of the progressive mindset. A poster-boy for childish demands and silly decisions. And I would implore you to follow Taylor Swift like a wet Tshirt. Put all your eggs in her basket...if you will. Then...

when the dust clears...please join the wailing commitee at the inauguration of a Republican POTUS.

My IQ is 50 times higher than yours, but that doesn't make it worth bragging about.

No link, no indication of what he's talking about, nazi reference just for fun...  it's like you're so damaged you can't do anything but slobber at the internet.

Relax. You're brain has overheated to the point where you can't have many neurons left.

Sorry, the Republicans have already claimed those voters.

That's why they are dismissive of a woman with nearly a hundred million Twitter followers and 275 million Instagram followers.

Any guess at how many of those followers live in the US, are new voters or soon-to-be voters who aren't too keen on Republicans messing around with their reproductive health care?

Fun fact: Swift's Instagram account reaches 10x as about people as the NFL Instagram account.

While Mrs Swift may seem all nice and sweet she advocates for the murder of babies in the womb. Another sick in the head libbie

Taylor Swift is a musician.

She sings and people do what she does when they are groupies. The others, don't care.

Why do you care so much about her, she's insignificant politically speaking for most of us. Nobody would vote for someone based on a singers' choice. Waste your energy on something else lol

Good for her!  Nice to see women standing up for themselves against misogynistic tossers like you.

Isn't she just encouraging people to vote?  That's got to be good, right?

Hell, maybe they'll all vote Republican!

I think you're making two mistakes here

The first is the mechanism. You're right that people aren't mindless robots who just change values based on whatever a celebrity says. But that isn't the primary  mechanism. Celebrities--particularly artists--have followers that tend to already be cultural aligned with the artist. The celebrity didn't have to change their minds, just activate and energize around already shared issues.

The second mistake is that these celebrities absolutely do influence decision making. They are called "influencers" for a reason. Companies pay them millions for simple affiliation, let alone explicit endorsement. They are valued so highly because they are effective, particularly at building brand affinity and trust.

It doesn't mean that Swift is picking she winner on her own, but celebrities do matter and Swift one of the biggest and most influential on the planet. Don't sleep on someone who can influence millions of young people with a 50 word essay.

So the preacher preaches to its parrish. No one outside her fanbase is convinced by her.

Taylor Swift is the queen of the 20 to 30 year olds, who aren't invested in politics as much as they are overrepresented on Twitter.

She can influence society by singing about breaking yet another relationship of hers and shaking on a stage, but otherwise...

Miss Swift is nice and shares values with 70% of the American public. Donald Trump knows that 70% of the public is pro-choice, which is why he called Florida’s abortion ban a “disgrace.”

Question - how many times do you have to bang your head against a brick wall in order to believe that? Asking for a friend.

Taylor swift doesn't share values with most people or at least not in a recognizable way. Certainly not 70 percent of the public.

It would be wrong to say 70 percent are pro choice. The vast majority of polls strongly indicate that the vast majority of people want strong restrictions on abortion if it's allowed at all.  A small minority approves of unrestricted abortion. So it's not that simple.

Taylor swift will have no impact on the upcoming election.

Show me these polls you speak of.

About six-in-ten Americans say abortion should be legal in all or most cases

FOX NEWS POLL

Fox News Poll: Two-thirds say abortion pill should be legal

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/fox-news-poll-two-thirds-say-abortion-pill-legal

Gallop: Only 13% of Americans believe abortion should be illegal in all cases

https://news.gallup.com/poll/1576/abortion.aspx

Five Thirty-Eight: 85 to 90% of Americans believe Abortion should be legal in at least some circumstances.

Sure makes you look pretty stupid, doesn't it? Yeah, it does. You don't know what you're talking about.
