So a State Governor all on his own can decide what is and what is not pornography (federal decision) and what your school can have in its library(local decision) and you praise that.

A true modern conservative, accuse everyone else of being a dictator while praising your own.

Leftards: "It's ok to force millions of healthy people to take a dangerous drug that they don't need, but categorizing a book with explicit sexuality in it as 'pornography' is dictatorial."

Also leftards: "19 yr olds lack sufficient wisdom to be held accountable for their student loans, but 8 yr olds possess the wisdom to make informed decisions about hormone therapy and genital mutilation without parental guidance."

Me: "Leftists should stfu and make people guess how stupid they are."

America has had a culture of shame for a very long time. Back then, people didn't talk about sexual assault or mental illness like we do today.

For once you were making some sensible points, then you just drove straight into leftist drivel.

1) FYI the things that you're talking about aren't "American" issues, they're global issues, and 2) there are a lot of countries where they are still many generations away from even talking about whether or not adults should be allowed to have sex with children. In fact, they're on pace to never get there. Just be thankful that you live in a country where "strippers" always means "adult strippers". If you want to be a really open-minded little leftist you can still go watch children strip for grown men in some middle eastern countries. Just wear a fake beard to get in, because women don't have the right to go many places there.

Same old same old BS. Interpret everything thru your perverted antivax lens, blame the left for opposing actual dictators oppose anything that benefits society as a whole and glorify those that impose ideas similar to yours on everyone else.

Teaching pre-teens about sex is a perversion and a form of abuse.

False. It arms them against pedophiles, whose prey of choice is children who were raised in a world of shame and ignorance by wrong-headed conservative parents.  Those kids are ripe for grooming and too afraid to tell their parents when something does happen. Thats why so many pedophiles are priests, the churchgoing community is fertile hunting ground. Ignorance is never the answer.

False. Hustler Magazine type PORN is nothing more than PORN.

The only grooming comes from blue state public school teachers. The State of Florida passed a law OUTLAWING teachers grooming children for sex change operations. You goose steppers had a cow over that. You WANT pedophelia.  You APPROVE it it.

It's YOUR dance, Adolf.

Not an issue.  I vote for every position on every ballot.

But the public sphere, that body of collective knowledge that supports democracy, requires responsible engagement on the part of participants.  If you love people to participate when they don't adhere to the rules, then you're poisoning the public sphere in my opinion.

Contrarian has made the point that uninformed and passive form members may be swayed by their arguments, therefore we should counter them.  As such, I am trying to post against them infrequently.. we'll see the point out how unprincipled and ridiculous they are.

That's good, but most eligible Americans still don't vote. Many Americans feel like it's not worth it because "both parties are bad." I think it's important to show these people that the Republicans are infinitely worse and the Right as an establishment wants literal fascism.

I'm all for good faith engagement with people who act in good faith. When it comes to people who act in bad faith, I choose to hold them up and make an example of how dangerous the Right really is.

Contrarian has a large chunk of his brain missing.

I do counter incorrect takes, but you can do that by both debunking the takes as well as roasting the insane lunatics making them.

Yeah but to a lot of people it looks like a legitimate public discussion.  So my first choice is to not engage, however to address contrarian's point I will invoke a new tactic to engage these people in the way I described above

You really need help.  You seem to be getting more wacked out as time goes on.  Maybe a local Protestant/Bible believer or minister could help you.  Just a suggestion.  Nobody is forcing you to go for help but it would be wise.

What does the Bible say about sexual abuse against children?

Caring for children is spoken of highly in the Bible. For example, James 1:27 says that caring for children in need pleases God: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Ephesians 6:4 says, “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” Psalm 127:3 calls children “a heritage from the Lord.” Jesus’ interactions with children (notably in Matthew 18) demonstrate the value God places on them. The Bible speaks often about caring for the weak, poor, and needy—and this would include at-risk children (Proverbs 14:31; 17:5; 19:17; 31:8–9). Followers of Christ are consistently called to love others. Molesting a child can in no way be mistaken for love.

The Bible also speaks strongly against sexual sin. Sex is a gift given by God meant for marriage. Sexual perversion of all kinds is soundly condemned. Sexually assaulting a child is never justifiable; it is always wrong.   unquote

That is the Roman church which has priests that are not allowed to marry.  Protestant churches do not have priests.  They have ministers that usually have wives and families, like any normal family.

Of course it's always wrong. I just happen to think filling their heads with frightening nonsense is no better and it's especially worse when it coincides with sexual assault.

I bet you'd argue that preaching religion to kids is a form of free speech that you have a right to.

If you think there was no child molestation before schools started teaching sex ed, then you're probably too far gone. This is like if I was going to satirize a conservative.

Of course there was, but no one tried to make grooming normal until now.

Talking about things that happen during sex, how normal it is for adults to have sex, how ovaries are fertilized, what menstruation is, why it's important to be careful, etc, is Sex Ed. Telling stories of a sexual nature is not.

It's also not Sex Ed to convince children that they can be whatever gender they want to be because that's called engaging in deception. A boy can never be like mommy because he can't give birth, period. If he wants to experience being a biological parent his only option is to do so as a man.

Do you have any evidence that sex ed is grooming children into having sex with adults?

The fact that you still don't understand the difference between sex and gender is an argument for more sex ed and gender theory classes.

I get your theory. You think that "woman" as a sex is exclusively a person born female and that woman as a gender can be anyone who just wants to be a woman.

That's where you're wrong because other people don't consider your gender to be "woman" if you're not.

If someone wants to cut of their junk and call themself a woman I don't have to pretend that they're a woman. I grew up with a definition of woman that I'm quite comfortable with and you aren't the dictionary gestapo.

I don't mind calling someone by their new name, whatever blows their hair back, but I'd never set a dude up with them, etc. , and I'd always refer to them as a 'trans' woman.

I know you're mad because you don't have any evidence, but try not to break down.

No, "female" is a sex category, "woman" is a gender category.

You don't have to, but you would still be incorrect. You also don't have to acknowledge that a person with red hair has red hair. In a free country, you have the freedom to be wrong.

I don't need to gather DNA evidence - sexual stories aren't part of Sex Ed, period.

When I talk to you I'm just disappointed more than anything. I have no clue how you're so usable.

No, "female" is a sex category, "woman" is a gender category.

Both words are in use.

I'd be correct, and you would choose to engage in their delusion. Good for you, but count me out.

So then you acknowledge that trans women are women.

No, I am acknowledging that a trans woman is a trans woman, and at the same time acknowledging that they're not a woman.

Is a toy truck a "truck"?

You can answer that however you want, I really don't care, but the truth is that when I say "toy truck" or "trans woman" I'm being accurate and everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about. That's the whole point of a language.. to quickly and concisely exchange information and ideas.

Do you have any evidence that "sexual stories" are being taught as part of Sex Ed?

Sometimes they're incorrectly used interchangeably, but that's beside the point. The point if these are two different concepts.

So then shouldn't we go by what has the most utility? It sounds like you want language to be more complicated to fit your weird hang up on trans people.

Books with explicit sexual stories are being banned from elementary and high schools (in BC HS starts at Gr 8. That's a bit young for some kids to start reading sexual stories that are chosen for them by the school board) and leftists are freaking out about that.

Choose a narrative and stick to it. You can't have both because they're mutually exclusive.

Quote

Regardless, a woman is what we have always known a woman to be, and that's a female.

If golfers start referring to themselves as domestic terrorists are you gonna share your name with them? You've worked hard for that title and you have the free TVs to prove it.

Quote

Most useful = the most concise.

If you just say "Tiffany's a woman" no one should have to say "That can mean two completely different things, is Tiffany a female or a dude with a hole where his dick was?" People should understand exactly what you mean instantly or your language sucks.

By lumping two completely separate groups of people into that one category you diminish the word completely. If you say "trans woman" people know it's a toy truck.
