What is a Real American

And I don’t mean what is a “Legal” American, I mean what is a Real American? What is it in the heart of a person that makes them a Real American, a Patriot?

Well, a real American IS a patriot. He would gladly serve his country in time of war. He would come to the aid of a neighbor. He knows America is an exceptional nation. In his heart he loves Liberty, Freedom; he appreciates entrepreneurship, he has the drive to make his way in life without a net and rise or fall on your own efforts like the pioneers did, and he knows that God endowed him with the right to Life, Liberty, and to pursue happiness

That is a real American.

Would you call some America-hating socialist Democrat a real American? . . someone who does not want to work and wants to live off of welfare? . . someone who despises America and hates our history and our traditions and our values and embraces evil ideologies? Is that a “Real American” just because they were born here?

Some people say they are real American too because they were born here. I say those people are tools. Such sick anti-American haters may be legally American if they were born here but they are not REAL Americans in their hearts. They are not Patriots.

Is this all too hard for a person to understand? If it is them maybe that person not a real American.

Have you heard people talk about fake Christians? Sadly there are people who call themselves Christians, and maybe they even go to church once in a while, but they do not have Christ in their heart. The lie and hate and do bad things. We all know they are out there. We see them all the time. Simply calling yourself a Christian and going to church every Easter does not make you one. Most people understand that, right?

Why should it be any different for being an American? . . a Patriot? Any fool can be born here. But when you are an adult, do you realize what a wonderful exceptional country American is and are you a patriot? Or are you a blood-sucking socialist crapstain Democrat who enjoys the fruits of the land but hates the nation? If you are the latter then you are no American, born here or not.

Some people cannot grasp these concepts. Thats too bad for them,

I disagree that someone has to be ready to fight for their country to be considered a real American, it's a complex society with a lot of vital roles to be played by a lot of people with entirely different skill sets. 

For example, a nerd might twiddle away at a desk for a few years and come up with a system for a cruise missile which gives the US a huge advantage over their enemies. He wouldn't be risking his life but he'd accomplish far more than any one man on a battlefield ever could.

I think that anyone who contributes to the greater good of the US in whatever way they can is a real patriot, but I think that in a lot of cases they may be misguided and do more harm than good.

I'm not saying that someone could be as self-serving/off-base as AOC, Pelosi or the Bidens are and still be considered a patriot, but for sure there would be some Dems who think they're serving their country, even though they're doing the opposite.

Well Regulated Militia

every American must be a Rifleman first

no matter what your skill set, in the end, an American patriot is a revolutionary warfighter

that is the American religion

you don't even have to hold an American passport to defend & uphold it

many foreign nationals have died for American freedom too

can't kill an idea

the schism in America is not that Americans refuse to fight

many Americans simply refuse to fight in a foreign war

but I have never actually met an American who said they would not fight for hearth & home

should the war come to Americas shores

In the meantime it appears about half of America believes the Red Dawn has taken over the nation.  How was that possible without anyone having to fire a single shot?

This cracked version of recent American politics conveniently ignores Goldwater and the Reagan and Bush years.  Such a flimsy attempt to constantly a bogeyman.

I am 64 years old and have congestive heart failure am a diabetic and have other medical issues . I am a gun guy and a reloader . I would pick up one of my guns to defend American soil if needed .

I was in the military from '87-90 so I obviously would have fought back then. 

I'm 54 now and I'd still fight for my country .

But if I had my choice, I'd rather die in a war at 54 than 18. I've lived for 18 years 3 times now: from 0-18, 18-36, and 36-54. I think that every 18 years it becomes less and less of a tragedy, for me personally, if I die. My son just turns 13 this year, I gotta stick it out a while longer for him, but in any event, dying at 54 is way better than dying at 18 imo.
