This will be presented to the public as the ultimate in convenience, but in reality, it's the ultimate in control.

Government can shut down your ability to buy or spend at will and for any reason.  And we've already seen from this convoy situation, that they really, really, really want the power to do that.

I think there comes a point where hatred is as useful at controlling someone as fear is - swinging back and forth between the two doesn't seem to be working.  Trudeau will always be under your skin no matter what because that's where you've chosen to put him.  He certainly doesn't have to waste any time or effort trying to convince anyone who hates him - it only gives him the freedom to ignore you.  If so many conservatives weren't so quick and obvious about playing their hate card it might pressure him to be more placative hence more accommodating.
