Why Canada is Great

But if the Ontario liberals did by chance won the next election they would go right back to their CDS(climate derangement syndrome)bull chit once again. Liberals like socialists are very good at lying. They live off of spreading fear and bull chit. That is why I like to call the liberals lieberals. They are never to be trusted at all. Only fools will listen to those lieberal liars. :D

The Liberals just want the perks, perogatives and payola of being in office, if CDS is a winning mantra, they'll go with that, if not, they'll go with what they think is the winning mantra.

The Wynne Liberals have discredited the Green mantra, the Liberals are rightly sussing out that it's not a winner anymore, so now they will shift to what the polls tell them to shift to.

In the end, the most fiscally responsible government Canada has had in generations, was the Chretien Liberals, it was Chretien who made the big cuts to spending, only Nixon can go to China, only the Liberals can cut public spending.

What nonsense. Chretien was one of the biggest liberal thieves and liars ever in politics. Between him and old man and young man Trudeau, I do not know who was/is worse for Canada. The only thing Chretien did for Canada was give Canada same sex marriage. Wow, what an accomplishment and something to be proud of. It seems like all liberals are all fascinated with some kind of deviant sex. It is said that Chretien was not a very rich lieberal when he entered politics. But when he left politics he became a multi millionaire. Interesting, eh?

The lieberals have been a disaster for Canada and they always will be a disaster for Canada until those bunch of fools and idiots are booted out of not only politics but the country also. Our debt has ballooned up into the billions more since your dear leader feminist became the dictator of Canuckistan. This prime mistake of yours borrows money from the private banksters and then gives most of it away to other foreign countries to help those countries build new roads, fight climate change, and educate people who can never be educated. what a watse of taxpayer's tax dollars. Liberals are losers. So go away with your Chretien and his spending cuts. No politician will cut anything unless they can steal tax dollars from somewhere else to pay for those cuts. How old are you anyway? Just wondering.

Don't forget that all the players on the Raptors are all Americans. So the Americans did win the championship. They just won it in Canada. :D

Not true, plenty of Raptors were not from America. Siakum, Gasol, Ibaka, Anunoby and Boucher, for instance.

Canada does not even aspire to be great, Canada is all about dreary socialists and vexatious bureaucrats erecting barriers to enforce mediocrity, thus why anyone aspiring to greatness simply leaves and goes to America.

I hope you aspire to greatness.

Not really,  I am and always have been merely a face in the ranks, I simply aspire to be independently wealthy so as to not have to answer to an employer, and also to ensure that my wife can retire early and comfortably, as she is younger and very fit, and so likely to outlive me by decades.

So what countries are they all from? Any Canadians in there? I am pretty sure that they all live in America which makes them Americans, right?

The idea of resisting a mass migration north with lethal force is Stalinist.

Drivel. You think Stalin invented the use of armed force to defend his borders?

Some of you seem to be very cavalier with other people's lives. What makes Canada great is generosity and compassion. Since we (northern Europe, and the northern half of North America) have greatly participated in creating this problem,  it is incumbent on us to help those who will otherwise die.

You might read this, which poses the question of what we might do if climate change causes hordes of refugees to flee towards us.

Across the West, we hear the same appeal, and it’s always persuasive: these are people who only want to work, to find safe homes in which to raise their families and to embrace a ‘better life’ — our better life.

But the right conversation is a bitch. Europe lies next door to a continent whose population will double to 2.5 billion by 2050, rising to an eye-popping 4.5 billion by 2100. This is the continent likely to suffer the most from climate change, already afflicted with desertification, and always prone to drought. It’s poor and corrupt. Its governance is broadly appalling. And most Africans have mobiles, connecting them to promised lands where life isn’t quite so nasty, brutish and short.

For the US, that surge of Hondurans is a wavelet in an incoming tide; for Europe, 2015 was mere prelude. Yet this autumn’s caravan may further entrench an effective protocol. Populous, organized assaults on borders can overcome physical barriers and overwhelm bureaucracies. Migrants trying to get into Ce

uta and Melilla have had remarkable success with storming the fences simultaneously. Should they take their cue from the Hondurans, canny migrants currently chafing in Libya might all hit the Med in a flotilla on the same afternoon.

Millions if not billions of decent, ordinary people in need of food, clean water, shelter and medical care are bound to constitute a form of moral blackmail. They will all have heartbreaking stories. And if we continue to confront the issue as a question of sympathy rather than existential self-interest, they will nearly all get in.

Thomas Friedman has astutely characterised the West vs the rest as order vs disorder. But with over-stressed welfare systems, accelerating cultural upheaval and rising right-wing militancy, the lands of order can slide to chaos themselves. If in the next few decades we’re looking at migration on the scale I think we are, we may be required to develop a hard heart, or simply surrender to forces larger than we can control. I’m not sure which is worse.
