Either way...doesn't matter.   Protected speech in "the States".

Please keep the hate speech laws in Canada where peace is more important than freedom.

We have figured out how to have both. You should take heed.

Never....we figured out how to get rid of monarchs too.    Takes guns and free speech.

We still have both, but somehow you use your guns to shoot each other at a rate about ten times more than we do. Gotta love those guns eh.

Little surprise here....President Trump has more support than statue snowflakes may like:

Voters Side With Trump In Defense of Historic Monuments

Voters tend to agree with President Trump’s defense of historical statues, and few think getting rid of Confederate monuments will lessen racial tensions in America.

Despite widespread media condemnation of the president’s response following the recent incident in Charlottesville, Virginia, 50% of Likely U.S. Voters agree with Trump’s Twitter tweet that it is “sad to see the history and culture of our great country being ripped apart with the removal of our beautiful statues and monuments.” The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 37% disagree, while 12% are undecided.

I would be too, except so fart he's basically done nothing much more than shot himself in the foot and piss off his staff.

I'm not he has an agenda. If he does it seems to be completly random, and changes day by day.

You obviously have not kept yourself up to date on what Trump has done so far. You and your ilk only want to find his faults. This just shows ignorance on your part. But then again what else is new with you. When Obamarama became president did you see riots going on in the streets for months after he was elected by nationalists or the KKK? They all accepted their loss and got on with life. That is what you need to do is get on with life. Your darling Hillary lost and so learn to live with it. In another couple of years your ilk will get another chance  to try and make America not all that great again. Your agenda is to see that Trump gets impeached which I am happy to say has not happened yet. Chuckle-chuckle.

His constant little flippy flops on what happened in Charlottesville will likely help to hasten that event. chuckle, chuckle.

Ya, Omni would much prefer to see that anyone who dares to disagree with him should be shut down. He represents and believes and practices intolerance and bigotry towards others and despises freedom of speech except for his liberal snowflakes who believe that freedom of speech should only be reserved for them and their opinions and points of view. Pathetic.

The only flippy floppy person here is you. You can't get over Hillary losing her election and so it will be constant whining and crying and babbling from you forever until Trump has to give up his presidency in eight more years from now. I hope that you are not going to keep this up for another eight years? If you do then may I suggest the name of a shrink for you? Just asking.

Eight years? Look at his ratings after six months!

Wherever and whenever Trump has a rally tens of thousands show up. The we the people love him despite what the liberal polls try to tell the people that his popularity has fallen. To be believe a poll put out by some liberal outfit should never be taken seriously. We all should know by now that the liberal/democrats know how to lie and cheat and fix things in order to get the results they want. If Trump is not that popular anymore then how does that explain for all the excitement that Trump gets from his fans wherever Trump goes? The we the people want  to be near and socialize with him. When Hillary ran for president she was lucky if she had a hundred people to show up at any of her rallies and then had to endure watching her flip-flop and make a total ass of herself all the time. But hey, what more can I say, eh?

Democrats/liberals are well known for their involvement in voter fraud and were great at "fixing" things. The "fix: is always in with those demo/liberal unpatriotic anti-Americans. Hillary and Obama and so many other Democrats should be in jail now for all the anti-American crimes and activities that they have committed when they were running the country. Shocking indeed.

This forum is so simple.

According to our social arbiters (you know them, people that think it’s up to them to tell us what to think) some hate is acceptable. Like the hate directed at fly-over America in general and towards White American hourly wage-earners in particular. Of course the people and institutions spouting this hate deny it’s hate. They call it truth telling.

But it isn’t truth-telling, it’s flat out lies, distortions at best, and it’s hate. The same people spewing this hate are the same people that try to justify the economic destruction inflicted on the objects of their hate. First they ruin these people and then they insult them and denigrate them and belittle them. You’ve heard it so I don’t need to belabor it. It’s hate speech.

Thus you get the torrent of media lies. They’re fully on board with this hate mongering. Objective? Dispassionate? The hell. This is no “first draft of history”. This is a sick joke.

So I’m sorry, or actually I’m NOT bloody sorry, but the extremist Left is as fucked in the head as the extremist Right. And especially I’m not sorry about this: Trump is right, there wasn’t just a violent contingent from one side. Even reporters from supposed “respectable” news providers didn’t evade and couldn’t evade that truth. They saw it and recounted it even if later some tried to walk back what they said.

In broader terms, the people fighting the Right in Charlottesville, the apologists for those people aren’t fighting hate. They’re haters themselves.

Sure, this is why Obama and every other POTUS bowed to Her Majesty. You thought you got rid of them.

I think you have a deeper understanding of what you let on. I was thinking about narrative framing as well. Notice that MSM News headlines always report things breathlessly as if some mythical “consensus” has already been reached, which only poor, misinformed, ignorant savages would possibly not accept the truth of. It’s really a very subtle and clever technique in the hands of skilled practitioners, so you always have to check your emotions and your willingness to simply “go with the flow” when exposed to it. And it goes without saying that they also make great use of previously well-established cultural meta-narratives – American exceptionalism, terrorism, racism, cultural depravity couched as “sensitivity” and “inclusiveness,” etc. – to further disable people’s critical thinking skills, most of which have been in full-scale atrophy for at least 50 years now. I would say Orwell’s 1984 – long since derided as doomer porn fantasy by many – has fully materialized in the modern world now, and quite predictably, almost everyone under its influence is totally oblivious to it.

A few hundred right wing racists demonstrating in Charlottesville.

Thousands of deranged leftists demonstrating in our cities for the obliteration of civil liberties and the rule of law.

Take your pick.

Yes.....freedom is more important than peace while freezing your ass off.

I suspect that the white and black working classes, and soon lower middle classes, would be on the same side too. Keeping them from recognizing this and fighting each other is THE most important task of the mainstream media at the moment, owned and run as it is by oligarchs.

Nah. I don't seek support. I'm a lone wolf. I don't seek the approval of conformists. Anyway.....

Who do we blame? To my mind it’s not only campus faculties and their speech police auxiliaries but also print publications that also assume for themselves the mantle of moral arbiter and assigner of blame.

It’s truly astounding but these self-proclaimed magistrates, who purport to be the most enlightened of society, the best of the best, the pinnacle of what civilization can do, have been out busily fomenting for a while what we saw in Charlottesville. A lot of people have been saying it, enough with the insults and inflammatory rhetoric. But no, it was full speed ahead.

And so now the self appointed magisterial proclamations all shriek the same shriek: condemn the neo-this, alt-that. OK, but did the self-appointees happen to notice the guys carrying clubs in the anti-fascist contingent? Clearly visible they were in that video of the car-ramming. What do we suppose the clubs were for? Applied to human skulls these age-old devices can accomplish pretty much what that car did.

Time to have a talk about the shit that pass for wisdom. Should media shut down hate-speech? OK, there’s a lot of hate-speech that maybe needs to be shut down. So maybe start with the butt-hole leakages from supposedly “progressive” media and campuses because if that stuff ain’t hate-speech then find me a better word.

You may not be capable of mature discussion, Omni. If that I the case, please don't reply.
