You can understand whatever you wish to understand... Don't let me stop you there.

Personal freedom comes at a price. Even the term democracy is relative but I wouldn't attach it to Israel...

Again...forget about Israel (try). Which Islamic country can you show me that has similar personal freedoms to the Zionist Entity?

As I said to you already freedom has a price....

It is all relative

I'll take that as a zero, as well.

Do you feel there are too many personal freedoms in a country like Canada? Do you feel Canada should be more like Iran?

No amount of twisting (going back and forth) will change my stance vis a vis what I said. Leave Canada out of this...

There is more to Canada to be dragged into this for the sake of your beloved Israel....

Defeat = You not finding another country with freedom of speech, etc, in the Middle East.

There was another one but we shut it down in favour of a tyrant. Something the region is still recovering from.

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

Oh, you mean Mossadeq who was elected ruler by courting the Communist Tudeh Party. You know, the guys who tried to make Iran another SR in the USSR. The Cold War was a fact...and this was part of it.

Why would you want an oil rich country to have a democracy? It is easier to rob them off their oil when tyrrany prevails it....

Fact is Mosadegh tried to nationalise the oil but that didn't go well with the he brits whose share would have been substantially reduced....

Ironically for you, it was The Shah that made Iran rich beyond its wildest dreams re: good oil deals.

Irrelevant...it doesn't negate the fact that it was the western meddling in iran that didn't let the democracy flourish for the interest of oil....

There was Soviet meddling to make the Western meddling happen...but history is not your strong suit. I'll correct you as needed.

It was, unfortunately, not his equipment to steal. Plus, nobody in Iran knew squat about drilling oil without BP's (et al) help.

Wrong! Iran had many engineers who knew a great deal more than your selective recollection. Go and learn history....

Bullshit.

Sorry...that's the history.

The Tudehs turned on him during the Coup and tried to take over Bolshevik style.

No...sorry. Iran learned to drill its own oil under The Shah.

The more you carry on the more hideous this argument is becoming...
