That's a claim you can't support. So fans blame the players because some owners, not all, need public funding? They'd be cool with that though if all players and not a handful chose to protest police brutality? Your web of causes for lower ratings is getting pretty complicated. Baseball, hockey and basketball get stadiums and arenas funded by taxpayers too. And they've seen ratings declined because of cord cutting. But those sports aren't in the crosshairs of Trump. bush_cheney2004
Oh look...ESPN's Jemele Hill has been suspended after all for continuing to use her position for social media politics: Quote HARTFORD, Conn. — ESPN suspended anchor Jemele Hill on Monday for two weeks for making political statements on social media. Hill, an African-American co-host of the 6 p.m. broadcast of "SportsCenter," received backlash last month after referring to President Donald Trump as a "white supremacist" in a series of tweets that referenced the president's comments about a deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Trump later suggested that NFL players be fired for not standing during the national anthem. In tweets on Sunday, Hill targeted Jerry Jones after the Dallas Cowboys owner stated that players who disrespect the flag would not play for his team. http://www.startribune.com/espn-suspends-jemele-hill-2-weeks-for-breaking-its-social-media-rules-after-tweets-about-boycotting-cowboys-advertisers/450122993/ Have a nice unpaid vacation Ms. Hill. Game on.... Going to go OT a bit here, BC, but I've seen this before. In the latter stages of a bull market the extremes begin to show. Like stock markets that defy gravity, claims that “the small investor (i.e., suckers!) are back in the market, the $500 coffee makers, the ultra tall buildings, the massive planned developments, the $850 gold encrusted desserts — all true examples. Saw it 10-12 years ago….money chasing homes, people lining up for open houses, lottery systems to see who was allowed to buy. Denver now contemplates a 94-story building to dwarf anything now there. The original developer, from Miami of all places, withdrew for unexplained reasons, a “concrete” case of coitus interruptus if ever was. The 2005 red hot housing market in the DC came to an abrupt halt one day in August 2005; full dead stop, like a light switch got flipped. One of the longest bull markets in history is nearing it’s end. It will happen, or as Jim says, it will continue until it can’t. When the money flows dry up the music will stop, smart guys will grab a chair now.

I got out of the market during the summer except for a dollar-euro ETF, which is a weaker dollar play consistent with a correction.

Change tax law! 3:13 AM - 10 Oct 2017 This must be the new Repub talking point. As if Pro Sports teams getting tax breaks is a new thing. Omni
I find it hilarious that Trump is going to challenge Tillerson to an IQ comparison, and at the same time remarks about how well founded his vocabulary is. If he goes off the teleprompter he sounds very close to being illiterate, and I bet his IQ is not much higher than room temperature, not unlike those who support him.
