It seems you are heading for a change of government. How is it in Canada exactly: Is it a typical situation of getting fed up with the same party in power for quite a long time, almost ten years, and therefore yearning for a change or is there an economic downturn and increased unemployment which has caused the popularity of the Conservatives to plummet?

Pundits call the ten year mark "past the best before date". Economic conditions don't seem to make any difference since the aspiring Liberals have vowed to bring the country into deficit with increased spending.

It seems that PM Harper has also had quite enough after 10 long years.

Feel free to take him. And his band.

Unlimited economic growth has the marvelous quality of stilling discontent while preserving privilege, a fact that has not gone unnoticed among liberal economists.

I have a feeling he will welcome a rest from the pressures of governing.

They'll almost make their pre-dissolution national seat count in Atlantic Canada alone. There may very well be something to the comparisons to the 1984 election.

I think we may be headed towards an era of majority govts.

I think we're headed back to the "old normal". This looks more like the elections of my youth, before Reform and the Bloc Quebecois became such disruptive forces.

Their disruptiveness served a purpose though, for parties not to take the regions for granted.

A red wave crossing the Atlantic provinces. Can it be stopped or run out of energy in middle Canada?

Hey, what happened to the Harper cheerleaders on this board?

What are your views on what is going on?

NDP loses Jack Harris and Megan Leslie. Too bad. I thought these two were very honest, compromising and dedicated politicians. I also thought that Megan would be the next leader of the NDP.

This sucks

I took a poll of my kids and partners votes. They are in their 20's and 30's. Not one of them voted conservative and they all did their own research. It was either green, ndp or liberal. ABC. This may be a good representation of the young population in bc. As well, this is the first time some of them have voted.

Splitting time between the game and the election on TV. Even brought my TV from upstairs downstairs to watch both. Both are looking real good right about now!!

I'm stuck behind an 18 wheeler with it's bow in one ditch and it's stern in the other. The super-tower is two hours away.

Good thing I voted in advance.

I voted as strategically as possible, against anyone from getting a majority. I suppose I would accept a Green majority my 1st preference with the rest following from 2nd to last...

A hung parliament, a weak NDP minority, a similarly weak Liberal minority, an even weaker Conservative minority to...having an asteroid fall on Ottawa. I guess if I had my druthers that would be my first preference.

Libs with the clean sweep of Atlantic Canada. The big battlegrounds are next.
