Big Guy Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 We are in the final turn going towards the finish line. I suggest that rather than trying to switch from thread to thread this evening that comments be concentrated on this thread. It may save a lot of repetition and confusion. Big Guy Posted October 19, 2015 Author Report Posted October 19, 2015 Results will be coming in East to West. At what point can we anticipate a result? Quote Note - For those expecting a response from Big Guy: I generally do not read or respond to posts longer then 300 words nor to parsed comments.

I'll probably go have a pint or three and watch the election results on my tablet with a couple chums... ETA - by chums, I mean friends/pals/cohorts... not the salmon. dialamah Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 I am heading to the campaign office shortly, to do whatever it is volunteers do on election nights. First time ever volunteering, so all new and exciting for me. Quote
capricorn Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 I'm watching Radio Canada channel 28 Rogers cable. They just pored over a map of Canada with all the regions along with the corresponding political affiliations. It brings home the point that Canada is not an easy country to govern. capricorn Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 Based on the results from Newfoundland, CBC's Mansbridge, exhuberant, states "a spectacular start for the Liberals". Sheesh, could he not subdue his political leaning and just offer some unbiased reporting? At least until all the results are in? Quote "We always want the best man to win an election. Smallc Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 I don't think he's being partisan - they've doubled their vote percentage to this point. Quote

-TSS- Posted October 19, 2015 Report Posted October 19, 2015 It seems you are heading for a change of government. How is it in Canada exactly: Is it a typical situation of getting fed up with the same party in power for quite a long time, almost ten years, and therefore yearning for a change or is there an economic downturn and increased unemployment which has caused the popularity of the Conservatives to plummet?
