bush_cheney2004 Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Here is today's speech by the Prime Minister of Israel. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Bob Macadoo Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 It's interesting how Jewish posters on this site have identified themselves as such, while everyone else hides their heritage behind made up handles. And it's also interesting how much these Jewish posters get attacked on this forum.Glad they identify with their pseudo-devotion......or internet anonymously claim to......doesn't affect my opinion of their posts. They could keep it to themselves just as well.Wait do you believe Rue & jbg (only recently declared mind you) are the only jewish posters? Wow. Quote
Hudson Jones Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Still waiting for Palestinian leaders and terrorists to speak to the U.S. Congress.....maybe they need a better sugar daddy than Iran. Not sure why you're waiting and you keep bringing this up like it matters. The speech, the standing ovations, the ass kissing is all theatre. Sheldon Adelson and the rest of the zealots set U.S. Congress' agenda on foreign policy and it's the money that re-affirms the "unbreakable bond". Quote When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always. Gandhi
bush_cheney2004 Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 This was Bibi's third address to the U.S. Congress.....each time the Palestinian terrorists were invited they declined, say they were way too busy building rockets and digging tunnels. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 No...not a natural born U.S. citizen...but he could be the PM of Canada. Nope. ever work here. Too many provable lies in his history. Canadians are not as gullible. Apparently neither is Obama. Quote
Big Guy Posted March 4, 2015 Author Report Posted March 4, 2015 Of course my views are slanted - they are slanted towards what I think is best for Canada. If yours are not then I suggest you review your priorities. The major contentious issue in Israel is the question of "illegal" settlements. American presidents come and go, Israeli leaders come and go, UN declarations come and go while Israel continues to expand its settlements and thumbs its nose at the rest of the world. Even Canada PM Harper has voiced his opposition to these settlements but Israel continues to ignore Canadian PM's. http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/interactive/2015/03/presidents-israeli-settlements-150303100435043.html I find it hard to understand why the USA and Canada still support Israel and the consequences of that support when Israel continues to build and create more problems. Perhaps we will smarten up and look to Iran for stability in the Middle East. Just because you guys are unable to see beyond the simplistic, black and white, fanboy world, it doesn't mean everyone is like you. A person who criticizes Israel does not mean that the person is cheering for some other group. Oh and calling Palestinians terrorists with your bigoted general brush stroke only shows that you're unable think critically and that you're unable to express any thoughts beyond your sports team fanboy mentality. Clap monkeys, clap. Anything for the banana! Quote "What do you think of Western civilization?" Gandhi was asked. "I think it would be a good idea," he said.

Thank you....my "mentality" observed that Israel and Israel's PM got a lot more media attention today than a critically thinking band of Palestinian terrorists. Too bad that the "Iran issue" gets more attention than your favorite cause. Edited March 4, 2015 by bush_cheney2004 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

Too bad that the "Iran issue" gets more attention than your favorite cause. What? What's with your excessive "na na na poo poo" attitude? You need to calm down. As pointed out in this thread, majority of your fellow Americans think negatively about Bibi's speech to Sheldon's clapping monkeys. No need to be such a hater towards my cause - Justice and peace. Rue Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Mr. Harder with due respect the combination of the contents in posts 19 and 24 did not look like moderator comments. Further, your decision to actively participate in other ME threads but try moderate them as well creates the appearance of bias since you clearly have views that are at odds with certain posters you claim to moderate. With due respect you should not moderate ME threads as you have participated in related ones and expressed views that render you bias on certain issues you may have to moderate. Thank you. Now getting back to the actual thread, this thread as usual was started to insult Netanyahu. No more no less. Another thread to insult and call names. It is yet another in a long line of anti Israel threads that dominates the Rest of the World section. It offers nothing but subjective name calling from the same entourage of anti Israelis making comments of course that raise incitement against Jews in Canada for being Jews. That is exactly what BigGuy's thread did. It threw out Jews like some football score inferring they are all one category of political opinon that can be dismissed simply by the amount of number of them since there are more Muslims. An absolutely hateful and illogical comment and precisely an example of how discussions about supposed Israeli state policy become insults against Jews simply for existing in Canada. As for Marcus, its hilarious to watch him present himself as the messiah of truth and justice and lecture Bush on impartiality.Lol. Quote
Big Guy Posted March 4, 2015 Author Report Posted March 4, 2015 At the moment, Iranian ground forces are part of the offensive that is attacking ISIS held Tikrit in Iraq. The USA is supplying air cover. I wonder what that means? Michael Hardner Posted March 4, 2015 Report Posted March 4, 2015 Mr. Harder with due respect the combination of the contents in posts 19 and 24 did not look like moderator comments. ? All I did was comment on a broken link. I made no comment on the topic in discussion. Further, your decision to actively participate in other ME threads but try moderate them as well creates the appearance of bias since you clearly have views that are at odds with certain posters you claim to moderate. Yes, that's been expressed as a concern before. If you have a specific example where you think I'm being unfair, please report the post to Charles Anthony the head moderator. I have done and will continue to step back from moderating, editing posts, issuing warning in cases where I feel like I'm too much part of the discussion. I am only human, though, so I don't expect to be correct 100% of the time. With due respect you should not moderate ME threads as you have participated in related ones and expressed views that render you bias on certain issues you may have to moderate. It's kind of hard because I would have to excuse myself from many threads and I would still like to participate in discussions here. I suggest that this is off-topic for the thread, though, and that you post your concerns in the Support & Questions forum. Quote Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner
Big Guy Posted March 4, 2015 Author Report Posted March 4, 2015 As to who is what to whom in the Middle East, I think that anybody who chooses to access this section is intelligent enough to make their own decisions as to the credibility of opinion. Facts can be referenced and spin is rather obvious. I try not to waste my time trying to post my interpretation of other peoples posts. Trying to explain to others what someone else is posting is arrogant and making the assumption that you know more than other posters. That is not my nature. As for Michael, you can comment on any of my posts at any time. You have done so in the past and I hope you continue in the future. You are the closest to an impartial view that posts here. You have a very difficult job and usually in a no win situation. Keep up the good work.
